corvettes can be anything you wsnt, frieghters can be used for all types of stuff. living ship upgrades, an other rewards from the frigate expeditions you can send em on, a mobile base with access to everything and customizable, planetary scan room so you can know everything abt em before touching ground

i havent gone too deep into corvettes but freighters are great
mobile base, has an system-wide item teleporter, and a room that lets you retrieve any exocraft from anywhere in the galaxy while freighter is in the system, fleet management gives you some resources after some hours, and combat frigates will help you a bit in combat

I couldn’t place cargo storage on my switch 2 corvette. It just wouldn’t let me. I am in creative so, material and all that stuff wasn’t an issue. I had space as well.
I also couldn’t move any tech around. Hyperdrive, pulse engine, none of it. Tried reloading, didn’t help.
I’m not all that surprised given how many patches have already come out for other platforms. It’s gonna take a bit for Switch 2 to catch up.

Oh and @little halo Switch 2 can't even do cross-play with the other platforms, cuz they're not on 6.04. So technically, matchmaking should be keeping that group of the MP population pretty isolated still.

I’ll probably still use my Exotics, and just use the corvettes as more of a novelty thing here and there, kind of like interceptors which are mostly cool for the hovering thing

There is still increased traffic from both platforms hitting their servers and the network their servers are on. At the same time, there were problems across platforms with multiplayer and starting expeditions. There is no proof of causation, but the release on Switch is the only correlation, so it makes me think there are a lot of people on those platforms.

If the pipes going to storage depots happens to run under terrain at least you don’t see it there. But you can’t “bury” pipe. NMS doesn’t take kindly to messing with terrain. And can’t hide it around your base, like wiring, unfortunately

You can find hotspots underwater, so you can use that to sort of “hide” a lot of it from view

Speaking of the servers I hate that I had to switch over to PC just because of the principle. PS4... what do you mean I have to pay Sony £7 a month to use servers that they don't even own??? I prefer to give £35 to devs that care.
