I personally like earth like planets and then building a nice base(my current project). But I also find snow planets really cool cuz they have a really nice vibe especially if you build a cozy hut

Yeah most planets are "terrible" :D Paradise planets have a few names as well, "Lush" and "Tropical" are a couple, but even then they might have storms still, or cold nights. One possible clue is if you have discovered star bulb or paraffinium, (Common on paradise planets) you can go to your discoveries catalog and pin one of them and the galaxy map will show you systems than contain them.

Cuboid rooms were the first base parts - they were here before base wiring was added. In cuboid rooms (that whole class of prefab metal units) wiring is not needed for power.

I wish we could dim their brightness. I use them for basebuilding (for looks not for easy electric wiring) and often won't give them a power source (so they are dark) and just use lamps inside for a warmer light.

There are no tricks; normally your emergency signal would be destroyed in the process (unless...) and the door would slowly open with some alarms ringing

Everyone can still see bases made with those parts, and if you have an old save that uses them, you can still build with them. I was using them the other day in a build in my 2016 orig save (my main save still).

Go to the another go to the vary back room behind nada it's the terminal on the left middle between the ship and exo suit terminal interact with it and scroll until you find base parts for the cuboid rooms
