For me: Deeper randomly generated quests. Truly a quest system that creates motivation untethered to the galactic narrative of the game and divorced from the interests of an all knowing Atlas.

Not the community quests to kill plants or gather resources, but quests of a more substantive scale and otherwise perceived purpose - Like that quest that introduced the submarine in terms of size, scale and tangential relation to the narrative of the story....

I loved the Artemis story. I enjoyed the deep. I want to get lost in the mythos more

I’d love buildable spacestations, been wanting that forever. More specifically, you repair one in an abandoned star system. Once that’s been done, you can create your own guild to inhabit the station and it’ll act as a sort of stationary HQ in the world, only traveling to empty systems but having far reaching power through the galaxy. Once that’s done, you can choose to either go to war with a system to raise it’s conflict level and loot the spoils or bolster it’s trade with more efficient warp technology, bigger hulls, etc. to increase it’s economy and make it prosper

If you don’t know how to find them to find a Sentinel ship in No Man's Sky, first find a Dissonant System on your galaxy map. On a Dissonant Planet within that system, scan to find Dissonance Resonators. Destroy these to get Echo Locators and Inverted Mirrors. Use an Echo Locator to find a Harmonic Camp, then solve the math puzzle at a computer terminal to get numbers. Input these numbers as glyphs to unlock a Dissonance Spike marker, which leads to a crashed Sentinel ship

quests are nigh impossible to do multiplayer,
nexus missions despite being "multiplayer" feel more like a singleplayer mission with everyone contributing into one quest rather than something that brings people of different expertises together and makes them solve a problem together

and additionally, if your supports people have to recommend you to turn off multiplayer, that means multiplayer isn't implemented properly.

I think you can go to tethys again and itll complete the questline. I had a bunch of quests I completed rather quickly because I already did some of them, so the game just took a moment and was like "return to questgiver"

If you wanna skip the grind you can play creative, or a custom difficulty. Theres a lot more options for it now

You can even change them as you play

I think I might have lost my entire game save... when I went to start up the game and go into my main save where I was playing the expedition, the game kept throwing errors and it wouldn't load in ... years of playing on that save
