Grab a few distress beacon maps and take the ships if they lead to one.

Fix up the launch thrusters, shield and pulse drive, then jump back on your normal ship, go to space station. Swap ships and scrap it for parts.

Every system has one exotic ship. But in uncharted systems you won’t find it, because there are no races. Kind of same for abandoned systems too iirc. So they technically have one I think in the game file, you just won’t find it (abandoned might have a wreck one, but I think the chance is extremely rare, someone can correct me if I’m wrong on that)

Space Station portals are limited to a certain number before older portals get removed so if you don't have a portal to a nearby system you can warp from or the glyphs needed for the big portal or have made a base in said system good luck returning to it.

If I'm not mistaken it helps you learn more words. In the case of Artemis' translator I think it adds a description of what someone is saying without going in to too much detail so you get a sense for what they might want but if you don't have enough words to know for sure it's still a gamble in the interaction choices.

Translators can be useful when you have a minimal amount of words learned in a language but after that they will become useless

If you're trying to learn alien words, your best bet is to find Knowledge Stones and talk to every NPC walking around space stations and trading posts. You can ask them for help with language.

Especially since if you have 3 translators that are supposed to translate a total of 6 words

All 6 translations could be done on the same word, giving you nothing on the other words

you can use the exocraft radar upgrades to scan for alien monoliths which lead you to a portal, i believe the alien planetary charts on space stations also can lead you to monoliths

id reccomend doing it in a korvax or gek system though as the monoliths will give you the item you need to get the portal location, vykeen doesnt for some reason i think

The only things in permadeath you got to look out for is planetary hazards...maybe a few pirates

cause they annoying tanky but you can just phase beam them to doom

It's actually much easier to get them from salvage containers because you can shoot them from your corvette without ever landing or leaving the ship. You just have to get out of the pilot seach to scan and mark them.

Use Naviagation Data to buy Planetary Distress Charts. Scrap crashed starships and loot buried caches at Crashed Freighters.

get 200k per scan, plus nanites on fauna completion of a planet.

Usually get at least 1 mil for scrapping a ship. Buried Caches can sometimes give tradeable items you can just sell, they can usually vary maybe around 500k or so

Just look for waypoints to get Navigation Data. I spent 30min running around one of the first planets in a new save was easily able to farm about 50.
