Upgrading the class of your corvette can increase stats, plus installing upgrades. Get 3xpulse and 3xlanding upgrades of s-class and it will move pretty well

These are two points. First, a question. Does the corvette workshop warehouse work at all? It is impossible to drag anything from the inventory there. Second. I found a bug that allows you to "earn" an unlimited amount of money, related to the corvette workshop. 1) Go to the workshop in the editing mode of an already created corvette (the more complex the corvette, the better) 2) Delete ALL components using the "X" key, they appear in the exosuit inventory, and it will also add a few resources 3) Exit editing without changes. The corvette remains! And all the spare parts in the exosuit inventory - too. 4) Sell the spare parts. Repeat until you get bored.

No it’s a value system, you pick the thing you want and give enough things in return to make it a “fair trade”

That is called bartering. It's literally one of the most established trade systems there has been, both in real life and video games. Do I wish you could just straight-up buy the parts, yeah, but I get why they might have wanted to make a different system for the sake of novelty. Also the fact that you can't get 100% on it, and that it's really buggy currently, kinda takes away from the premise.

not complete opposite. in this case, money are the modules you spent all that time collecting, and yes you gey yo choose what you roll the dice for, but its still a luck of the draw. the concept is the same. they just tweaked it a little bit.

NMS is rng solely because it dictates what upgrade tech you can buy from tech merchants on stations, it dictates what corvette parts you get from the barter

For sure. If you want to create bigger/better ships you NEED to barter though. Either that or spend hours looking through Salvaged Scrap for the off-chance you'll get everything you need.
