There's no such thing as a Summer Update. They update between end of January (usually February) and October. Necessarily, some update is going to come within a short time of early August. People look back and try to name X update as the important one and call that THE SUMMER UPDATE. There's no such thing. Worlds Part II is undeniably the biggest update that will come this year, and it was not at all summer.

You should also look at the boundary failure lore entries as well. The sentinel, laylaps, Void Mother, Atlas lore all kind of weave together and you have to pick out your view of the reality

Assuming any of them have the correct view of reality, which I doubt

Outside lore, I think there were a lot of loose ends that were left because the writers didn't take everything into account and, if there ever is an official ending, there will be some things retconned.

You may want to consider looking for sentinel boundary map, can be exchange from Mercenary guild if i'm not wrong.
Use sentinel boundary map on the planet with grav ball, it will likely tag a sentinel pillar within the planet.
Travel to the pillar, and interact with the console, there's an option to deactivate sentinel force
