Yeah, they can definitely help. You're still always the owner. And I believe it's still up to you to upload the base to ODS via the base computer.

You also need to be present for them to make edits.

And I HIGHLY recommend uploading the changes when you're ready -- if you want your friend to see said changes, as the base they see is still somewhat dependent on what gets uploaded to / downloaded from ODS.

Shared base builds are doable. Red's dungeon in #nmscord-hub is a great example of it. It was mostly built by an awesome and very patient builder: Weasel although I own the base

Having said that, I still think shared base builds can be tricky at times with how unpredictably glitchy multiplayer can be in this game

i have a settlement with 72% sentinel alert, but nothing ever happens, funnily enough my settlement with 23% alertness was attacked by biological horrors

had pirates attack at the beginning, but those didnt show up for a long time now

but i think those maybe scripted when you take over a settlement i guess
