So far hello games showed no intentions to stop updating NMS. We don't know what plans they have for LNF post launch, it doesn't even have a release date yet.

A lot of people repeats wrong and outdated info. All that is needed is someone to say something really confidently. Not even maliciously, just making a wrong assumption or taking some edge case that happened to them as the norm. Even today we often see that with different things.

E.g. Galaxy 257 (which is just Odyalutai, galaxy 256 with a different name, not a copy, just Odyalutai wearing glasses and fake mustache) or stellar class having more meaning beyond the capital letter which indicates colour of the star.

Or you can join other players session if they're in a different galaxy, build a base there and you can teleport back to that base at any time. That's basically where I've been. I have a recent-ish, solid CPU (Ryzen 7 7700X (8 full cores, 16 threads)) and performance is quite good. Windows 11 is tuned for p+e cores, and I worry a little about impact on performance.

I get 85fps typical at 1440p, all settings Ultra (GTX 1080Ti (11GB)) on Win 10. But Win 10 is about to be dropped from updates, even security updates, by MS.

No! Messing with your system clock has the potential to break every single thing that relies on a real timer. Settlements, frigate missions, farms, mines, freighter battles and time gates such as the Starbirth Quest. Just don't do it.
