so uhm - anyone using their nomad on gas giants, driving over water? i get this annoying spam from my exosuit voice saying "extreme night temperature detected", like 10 times a minute. i turned exosuit voice off which i didn't want to do, but i still get the OSD message spam, saying the same thing, which is also quite annoying, considering i'm weather immune when inside nomad. if i use nautilon or if i'm on foot/swimming, it doesn't spam me btw.

going to try again after a restart, but traveler it was annoying

another thing i noticed was that sometimes the underwater hazard prot bar would pop while driving nomad

as if a small wave had went over one of its hover pads

Depends what you are after tbh. NMS isn't really that big on looting, but you could try being a pirate and destroy some civilian freighters for loot (do it in an outlaw system so you don't have to fight both NPC and sentinel interceptors at the same time)

You can also look for crashed ships and scrap them, then sell scrap, different objects you can find will give you something after an interaction, but rarely it is something really good

And with the Anomaly Teleporter, you can teleport to Bases from other players.
And I am sure you can meet other players in their bases.

yeah, i have nearly 500 hours of playtime and never seen a player outside of expeditions, the anomaly, nexus missions, or intentionally warping to someone else's base. Not impossible, just very very very unlikely

Peacefully fishing on top of my ship on a deep sea world nice and relaxed then I catch a child of Aquarius and says too nice to keep. I thought the hint to throw it back would be a reward from space jellyfish but nope next thing fighting for my life against those ghost jellyfish and a giant one... High flyers like birds, flying worms etc can't be tamed normally (unless mods are used)

The titan worm pet was given out as one of the rewards from completing emergence (already over long ago) expedition.

You can try ask in #nms-lfg-or-trades and ask if someone can breed a titan worm egg and give to you.

No! Messing with your system clock has the potential to break every single thing that relies on a real timer. Settlements, frigate missions, farms, mines, freighter battles and time gates such as the Starbirth Quest. Just don't do it.

if i dedicate time to exploring planets i still found new things on them, yes in big picture all the planets follow the same patterns. like planet with X main hazard and inhabited with Y amount of flora and fauna, etc. but combinations sometimes may be interesting

Part of the reason I find exploration so meh is not the lack of actual beutiful destinations to find, but the lack of support in the game for me to record my discoveries. The discoveries UI is utterly awful. It should be a way for us to catalog things important to us, not a collection of random systems the game scraped out its arse.

how so? frigates and freighters float motionless in place so they are not in orbit but being held up by anti-gravity.
as soon as you leave the frigate you would be subject to the planets gravitational field.
