Yup. It was an early Switch launch era issue. Console had trouble handling a lot of enemies, structures and flora at once. It was eventually stabilized. But caused a lot of headaches first.

if I look at them in build mode they go back to normal

I think I recall the first thing I did was make sure to make steam identify it as like a normal gamepad like an xbox controller? I remember trying to do this 3 years ago before the changes and I wasn't able to tweak it the way I like, but now it is possible

First time playing NMS 3 years ago I've always been bothered why the flight controls are just so different from other arcade games where you fly planes or something like that lol

Had been yearning for a proper Flight Stick support but now we (at least steam players) can kind of do that now manually

ya know the funny thing on how I discovered it today was because I wanted to see if I could manually create a flight stick controls for Project Wingman, and then when I saw how the changes on steam's controller settings was like, I paused and was like "Wait, what if I try this with NMS?" and so I created a control map exactly for NMS' ship controls and it worked lmao

I can finally rest from my 3 year search for flight stick support for NMS once and for all, even if it requires extra steps lol

Yep. Use them in the resize slot to increase size. I think you can do it 3 times before it reverts back to the original size.
