My laptop meets the recommended requirements to play this game through the xbox app, but the game is extremely laggy.
I redownloaded the game on my xbox one S, and plays just fine. No issues.

Would the game play better on my laptop if it was through Steam? I dont know if that matters, but saw it was on sale

if it's a laptop, then most likely it has two gpus, an integrated (slower, uses less energy) and a discrete aka dedicated gpu (more powerful, draws more power, used for 3d intensive applications - when drivers are all fully up to date). #nms-questions is probably a better place to ask for guidance on how to do that

I've only done it once before. The sole purpose of the new saves is to find a crashed ship. I'll have advanced mining laser installed in my multitool the economy scanner installed in the ship and scrap the crashed ship then delete the save. It was taking around 45 minutes. I have scrapped 2 within 55 minutes.

The thing is if the crashed ship is the Artemis ship it apparently changes the game. After I repair it . Using the Artemis repair the ship instead of repairing a regular crashed ship I get a visit when I get in space to visit the Anomaly. Then I went to featured bases in 3 galaxies and built a small base in each of them. Then when I got back I warped out of the system.

I started starting new permadeath saves and when I scrapped the first crashed ship I'd delete the save. I'd alternate with normal saves when I got irritated with the small storage size. Now I alternate between survival saves and normal saves.

My main save has over 2k hours on it.

I originally had this base and another player found the paradise planet for me so I relocated. I had upgraded this base to 700k units of storage before I relocated. It wasn't built to be that big so it wasn't organized very good. It was on a B class hotspot and had 96 extractors

I managed to get a new multi tool

Just need to vent a bit. The game is getting on my nerves. Two years hiatus and the game is more full of bugs than it ever was. Something they've done has made playing with controller a nightmare. I keep losing mats in the freighter refineries. Sentinals don't deactivate and I have to reload the game to make them stop chasing (they tried to follow me across a planet once instead of sending interceptors when I got in my ship.) The Atlas cannon is f'ing useless because the crosshair doesn't even live in the same dimension as the projectiles. The Freighter base once reverted to nothing but solid walls and the teleport room (that was scary.)

I'm just getting fed up with how difficult the game has made itself to play, not because of any systems in place but because of bugs and crappy design decisions. Have you tried going downhill in the roamer? You can't see shit except the underside of the hill texture and a screen full of grass. It's infuriating.

And the ship scanner....oh the ship scanner. I can be looking at a building and it won't show up on the ping. It's range is useless since objects and POI flash on the compass for a whole half-second before disappearing behind you. Exocrafts are the only reasonable way to scoot around a planet looking for things.

Oh yeah, and the 800-decibal screech when you enter your freighter that threatens to blow out my speakers despite the rest of the game being at normal volume. x_x

are u using a planet scanner in a freighter? My advice is to hop to yellow star systems in a lush galaxy like esseintam and just scan them. Idk what the bulb method is, but the only relevant info in a system’s string of numbers and letters is the first letter, rest is all flavour text (afaik)

Yes unfortunately I have been doing that star bulb is when your in a galaxy that doesn’t have star bulb then you would go through the catalog and search for starbulb when your in the galaxy map on your freighter it will show up and you just warp to that system I’ve done over 50 warps in a yellow star system and can’t find anything with no sentinel or storms
