You can also create your own ships. Only a few types available so far but they require you to destroy old ships. Destroy a fighter, get the wings, engine or cockpit from it. Do this 3 tines with a fighter and combine the pieces you get with a core you can buy to determine the class of it.

If you do a derelict freighter mission, some of the containers you search hold tainted metal as a tradable material to the space station guy aforementioned. You can instead refine the metal to get nanites.

TAA's implementation in no mans sky is kinda subpar in my opinion, makes the game look very blurry

It's kinda rare for me to see, but i find it interesting that as a player on Xbox, i can easily tell who is on VR cause their characters have a completely different movement style
