Once you have experienced your first freighter battle, it will begin a cooldown of 3 hours of unpaused gameplay and 5 warps, once both are met then your next warp to an inhabited system will trigger a freighter battle

some t3 conflict and some outlaw systems always trigger the rescue battle event, but you can force trigger the event on any inhabited system meeting the requirements already mentioned

finding these systems comes down to both persistence and a little bit of blind luck - and ofc, knowing how to identify them

If the installed versions differ you can't see others with a version other than yours, that can sometimes be an issue with upgrades...

Check the installed version for both you and your friend to make sure. Also, sometimes pending updates to the Xbox PC app have historically caused this kind of problem. Check for both of you if one needs to update that.

Having a focal point for a vertical screen in that case would be harder, but in a desktop wallpaper there is no focus as its a wider picture

The Repressed Records of Al'thex

Al'thex is my No Man's Sky character. He is internally an Autophage, but externally he looks like either a Gek or an Anomaly depending on his mood.

As you can tell, Al'thex has troubles with his true identity, mainly due to not accepting the fact that he is not flesh but rather metal, compared to most around him, which makes him feel alone regarding who he truly is, without that sense of familiarity or being embraced by a community.

With his own savvy he made himself a Holographic Exo-Skeleton that can display himself a "new body". Allowing him to change his appearance to his will, to look like a Gek or anything he wants... but still, internally he is far from being made of flesh.

As the story passes through, he eventually meets more of his own true-kin, and as he learns with their life experiences through the harshness of Euclid, and their past experiences in ||trying to save Artemis or confronting the truth about the Atlas||, he realizes that the world did not care about who he was. He could be a man or a machine, but he would still be a mere grain of salt across the entire galaxy.

Eventually he embraces his own identity, as an Autophage, still wearing the robes he once wore before, but now proudly standing as his metallic body shined through the deserts of his home planet.

I fell off my freighter during an EVA.... Further away from the ship I started to drift away from it.. Had to reload save because my life support systems and shield are S class so I couldn't even die while drifting away!😅
This gave me the idea to jump from my freighter and boost to a planet with my jetpack.
First jump: 10 minutes
2nd jump: 35 minutes
3rd jump: 2 hours and 15 minutes because on my way down I landed on a few asteroids and I started mining them with my geology cannon!😂
