not really, I like to do expeditions from my primary main save, but even if I open up a new save, that would require the ability to launch the game in the first place, which I may not be able to do in about a week & for 6 weeks after

also, even if I do open up a new save, it'll convert to a normal save once the expedition is over, so I wouldn't be able to actually complete the expedition which is the whole point

You can be given an egg for a small version of the sandworm from someone in the anomaly, since that was an expedition reward a couple times, and embiggen it with the gene resequencer. I don't know if you can make it THAT big though

It was an expedition reward, if someone has one they can induce an egg for you, it's a flying worm, but nowhere near the size of immortal worms

I'm having difficulty telling what my possible Core Stat ranges are.

For a starship

I found a range for Maneuverability on Fighters, capping out at 445.

Attached was a chart that said "Max Damage Bonus for S Rank Fighter is 90"

My Fighter is showing 349.1 Core for Damage.
So... I don't understand what values I'm missing here.

That 70-90 isn't something you can see in the game.

That value goes through different calculations, and the game displays the end result for you on your screen.

Base stats, stats before they go through math, can only be seen with tools like save editors.

You can hover over a weapon in ships technology and it will tell you thay weapon's dps

Core stats/base stats dont matter that much anyway

We can open a save file, find values but I haven't seen anyone sharing how the game arrived at value you see in-game

Besides, ship with crappy base stats but with good upgrades will have better overall stats then ship with maxed core and crappy upgrades

Until Relics update the limit of how high you could build was around 1000u (1050u exact iirc) from the terrain

Anything built higher then that wouldn't render next time you opened the game, base parts were still there but were invisible and you couldn't interact with them

Worlds 2 introduced Water worlds which could have oceans as deep as 1500u, that meant the surface was above that 1000u as it counts from the terrain, seafloor in this case

Relics update "moved" that border, idk how high it is now, but on normal planets you can easily reach edge of the atmosphere after which you can no longer build.

That should be 2000u high, but I don't remember from where it counts. I don't think it was from the terrain

Either way, such build would be possible now, you can build up to 1000u from the place where you claimed the base so if you claimed it in the middle you could build from the ground to the edge of the atmosphere

My Døme's floor is around 900u above the terrain, it was built when old limit was still in place

It would require some testing to get the details, but they are mostly irrelevant, you could just "eyeball it"/ find the right place through trial and error

like you building a base part for your base but it belongs to base of another player

If it's a matter of needing to do Frigate Expeditions during an Event Expedition, just hire full fleet.

So just avoid getting a fourth frigate

I don't have numbers, but to give some idea: when I was fishing on water worlds, I'd land the Iron Vulture above the water, stay atop of the ship and still get easily carried away on storms

I think you have to build pretty high to completely avoid the waves, but that adds up to the possible 1500u below you, and I'm not sure if you'd run into issues dealing with those distances

There's this very old bug in which if you build over water using normal base parts (timber, alloy, some of the prefabs) you'll still get water sound effects while walking... and if the floor is too close to the water, you straight up start swimming lol.

They tried to fix some of it in the past; but it stayed in my one base that has a portion over water, so I guess it's not an easy fix

For when you come back: set a random goal. It worked for me. A permadeath run, catching legendary fishes, getting a particularly obscure title... anything. In the process, you rediscover some of the joy.

every interceptor you found will always have hyaline brain that is not directly removable from the crashed interceptor, so stocking up might not make any sense.

However you can refine them for nanites

How good an exocraft is kind of depends on the terrain you plan to use it to get across, or also what you might use it for (fighting, resources, scanning, purely as a vehicle, etc)
