you have different types of hyperdrive upgrades. the ones you can craft don't count towards the limit, they're all unique. then you can have up to three salvaged ones on top of that

generally what you want to do is have your most powerful upgrades in the middle, and supercharged if possible, and arrange them with the more powerful ones on the inside and the less powerful ones on the outside

How to get started...

📖 Warning: Purple systems are end-game content so you must finish certain quests before you can access them.

1. Complete the Artemis Path (the main story of the game).

5. Return to space, aim towards empty space, and engage Pulse Drive, disengage when you see the quest's Space Encounter.

🛑 Warning: Do not leave the Atlas Station system you'll go to in the quest without visiting its space station or claiming a base computer on one of its planets.

7. Finish the mission to reveal all purple systems on the galaxy map.

terraforming is weird in this game. if you're playing with someone, you'll see terrain edits they made, but those edits will reset upon reloading the game.

terrain edits within bases are saved...up to a point. once you pass that, older terrain edits will be deleted to make room for the new ones.

Mostly up to the player, but in short, the differences between A-class vs S-class Capital Freighters (including Pirate Dreadnought):

• 3 vs 4 supercharged slots;
• 50+100 vs 60+120 max inventory upgrade limit;
• Slightly lower ranges vs Slightly higher ranges to base bonuses;

So I made a base on an extreme radioactive world with curious deposits, get an S-class Atlantid multitool with a mining laser/runic lens combo and made some Stellarators for the ingestor....

i mined a single curious deposit site and wound up with 420,000 runaway mold
