Holy cow... I thought I still had some locked achievements for NMS, just looked and its 27/27. I unlocked To Live Forever in Nov. 2020... And Take a Deep Breath in Oct. 2020. Those are also my rarest ones, together with Te Sentinel (unlocked in Sept. 2016 (!) Before those last two, most recent were in 2018.

So basically if you find an underground spot and things aren't spawning, get in your ship and completely change what region of the planet you are on. Like if I'm in the Northwest and can't find them I will go in my ship and pulse Southeast for awhile

I saved a freighter last night from pirates but I still had to pay for it arnt they supposed to be free (I mean I did pay for it it was the size of a dreadnaught and was better in every way than my current freighter even though it was 2 classes lower)

Since the (longstanding) bug where underground craboid fauna never spawned was fixed, it just takes time (and a lot of it) to find all fauna now. Though I have found that "underground" is a flexible concept it seems, including burrowing creatures on the surface sometimes, or cave fauna on cave terrain exposed to the sky. As long as you persist though, it should be doable 😉

if your are trying to go to the center you can input the only glyph you have 12 times. Puts you 5k LY from the center. A base on that planet you will warp to has some oxygen you can take, get some nanites and upgrade the ship to have further warp distance ( i used c class ship with 3 hyperdrive modules) and it was able to get 600 ly each warp
