i'm fairly certain there are multiple per planet (it wouldn't make sense to have just one), and i THINK they can be different resources between different hotspots, so if you find a planet with gold then you should be able to keep looking around until you find a gold spot.

i could be wrong about that, though

each planet will have the following hotspots: Stellar metal, planetary metals, oxygen, an aligned gas if one of the planetary metals is one of the 8 primary metals.

and also power hotspots

Apparently hot ice is a real thing

Its used in heat packs its a mixture of backing sodia and vinegar that is heated and then rapidly cooled its freezing point is extremely high and has a exothermic reaction so it heats up nearby objects

Never ever depend on refiners remembering what they contain, especially freighter ones since you can place so many

Once the base unloads, expect the items to be gone. This includes going down into the freighter hangar or teleporting away
