What the heck is going on with my base. It’s hooked up to electromagnetic power. I have 9 generators. My wires are constantly red. I’ll delete a wire and re attach it. It will go blue and it will work and then next time I go to my base it’s red again.

For some reason, my inner 6-year-old was disappointed to learn about "Relaxed Mode". I know it doesn't effect me in any way. But I fear that eventually I'm gonna try it, and then there will be no joy left in the game for me, as nothing kills my enthusiasm for a game faster than God Mode. And yes, as various friends/family have noted over the years, I'm insane. So I don't expect anyone to agree and/or understand. I'm just screaming at clouds here. 🙂

Alright so, there are a couple ways you can go about this, and you can probably get a more detailed explanation from the NMS Creative Hub (you can find them with !CreativeHubLink) The simplest way I can explain it is, you will need to download a save editor, the main 3 used by the community are called Goatfungus, NomNom, and NMSSE, from there in these softwares there is an option to transfer your save between platforms.

Nah, I’ve played Relaxed and Creative, both allow me to explore and do cool stuff (building, pve, visiting planets/systems, etc) without the limitations of fuel, resources, money, death, death penalty, etc, it’s an accessibility feature for a lot people, including myself who plays a customized normal on my main save that is in between normal & relaxed

it is literally the same as starting a new save except you get to send stuff between the two saves before and after the expedition

and you can spend nanites to copy mt and starship

i'll use "character" instead of "save" where i think it's appropriate; your expedition character progress, when started from existing character, is stored in the same save file. the game allows one to hop between the two "contexts" - if expedition character context is active, you make progress on that character. if primary aka existing character context is active, you make progress on that character.

starting from existing character basically lets you have a shared inventory between the two contexts, which can go both ways.

There are types of ships that are more rare than others, but no specifically super rare build of ship

each type has a % chance to spawn depending on the system economy

The s class "squid" ship, has compatible economies in every galaxy, it's just a matter of knowing which it spawns in, and no single planet or galaxy will have a higher or lower rate based on the planet or galaxy, instead it's all based on the progressive generation of the planets from a table of possibilities.

Every inhabited system has an exotic, they dont appear in non inhabited systems. The only way to get them in abandoned space is freighter battles

Are those like npc trails or does it mean other players have been to the system you’re in?

There’s a ton of them in the system I’m in

actually, i wish the base computer had an inventory slot for a schematic, that could copy a base. and loading a schematic into a empty base would provide build guides including snap points to rebuild the copied base. And a market to trade schematics.

Hmm, that's odd. My final fossil did not appear in my build menu.

... and the Fossil Displays you use to package the fossils appear in two places in the build menu: under Deployable Technology and under Decoration. All the previous packaged fossils made an entry in Decoration that I could then build into a base, except this last one.

Lol, and I've sold all my fossils just making the milestone to finish the Expedition, so can't test if the bug is repeatable.

... until I go dig up some more fossils. Ah, well, I'll do that tomorrow. Y'all have a good night, have fun!
