It's not that hard to find a good planet. The hardest part is stopping finding even cooler planets. Just do like I did: I found a cool planet and decided to make a base there, but after some time I found even better planet, so I decided to make another base there

There are a ton of factors: water on planet, sentinels, storms, anomalies, climate, fauna, flora, resources... It's up to you to decide what you preffer

For example: I have a planet with no sentinels, no storms, water, a ton of flora and fauna and not that anoying anomalies. It's almost earth-like. That's what I prefer. Someone on the other hand might prefer constant sentinel fighting, no water, less flora or fauna or other things.

If you google search there’s an nms resource website. It’s a nightmare to navigate but they’ve got charts including depth, size and rarity of the whole catalogue, it helped, especially seeing as fish you haven’t caught are greyed out and it can be tricky to even know what planet to look on.

My frigate missions are sending me a lot of messages of late. Like asking me to make decisions whether to do X vs Y, or of something is too risky or not. I get HG might want to make frigate missions seem more involved with the player, but tbh I don’t like the change. The settlements are already tasking the player with many of these sorts of general type “asks” which is why I don’t bother with settlements. I don’t really want frigate missions to be contacting me personally🤷‍♀️

Once in the cross -save program, it added this screen where some saves, including some of the ones where I’d done saves for the Utopia Speeder and Starborn Runner, were listed as “Needs Upgrade” which idk what that means, as it doesn’t say. I’m guessing that meant these saves were not upgraded to the WP2 system, but it had the side effect of me not being able to claim the ships and Atlas Sceptre anymore once I entered the cross-save program (and had selected a save to use). I later deselected the save, and verified on another platform I play on, and indeed, none of my expedition rewards were messed with. I could still claim all my rewards on Xbox, for example. So only on PS5, where I had chosen a save to enroll in the program, did it mess with my expedition rewards.

They’re not available now on my PS5 saves, no.
I was able to reload into the Utopia and whichever save the Starborn Runner came from, because I still have those saves. They had this weird “upgrade required” message, which only appears once you’re part of the cross-save program I guess. That was enough to re-open those rewards to the rest of my PS5 saves.

However, since I used existing saves to run the other expeditions, I don’t have the ability to do the same thing for Aquarius or the one for Iron Vulture, so unless HG fixes this issue, I’m out of luck I’m guessing

But, one thing that argues against this being just an upgrade required thing is my Series X save. I had not yet played on Series X using the cross-save I’d enrolled. When the cross-save seemed to be causing issues, I de-enrolled it.

I only have one large save on Series X that could be called a “main save” I’ve used for expeditions. The other saves are small, or very old, or both. So I checked my main save. It didn’t need this “upgrade” whereas all the rest of them did.

I also checked, and all of my expedition rewards (I missed maybe a couple of them on Series X, sometimes I didn’t feel like running all of them on all 3 platforms) all are intact on Series X, unlike on PS5. So that lends again credence to the notion the expedition rewards issue I am having is related to the cross-save enrollment on PS5 (I never did that for Series X)

I think what I kind of wanted was something that looked mechanical in shape but had living, pulsing organic material in composition. They’ve got lots of sort of soft body horror in the game with all the slime and pulsing pustules and there’s some lore in game about all sorts of infective transformative spores so I think something that reflects that like “parasitic anomaly” or “infected traveler” sets would be pretty neat.

Every 2 hours or so and 4-5 warps into a new star system will start the pirate fight. Outside of that, you can just wait for freighters to warp into the system and land on them.

Fun tip, you don't have to actually talk to the captain to see the class and storage. Just jump out of your ship after landing and scan the wall. It'll tell you the class and how much current storage it has.

Ok, idk if my timer was cooked but I was getting freighter battles every other warp by going from pirate system to pirate system filtering by conflict level and always picking red. Take it with a grain of salt but I got 3 in 7 warps and there was no meaningful time cooldown as I was just shopping at the pirate ss and warping
