If you are stuck in mid air trying to park at the Anomaly, this has happened to me several times now. If you wait (no more than 5 mins) it might just land or you can quit the game and restart.

On the occasions it happened to me, I seemed to bump another vessel on the way in.

Guys I’m trying to think of good spots to build bases and how to build good bases

I use prefab components for my bases, but I think location is important for any base type. If you are going to spend a lot of time there, having it near a place with animals you want to farm is good (because you have to stay reasonably close to the collector for it to work). Being near an energy hotspot is important if you are going to build a big base with greenhouses etc. Any of the following nearby may also be useful: A portal, a gas hotspot, a mineral hotspot, somwhere to go fishing.
