iirc only the regular things will; not your freighter tech

You can jump galaxies via the core in your freighter, yes.

The upside of this is no tech gets busted on your freighter.

The downside is, it still trashes the shit out of your exosuit, ship and MT tech! Best bet here is to have a junker ship and MT and switch over to those prior to making the jump. Then switch back immediately after. Then you only have to fix suit tech. Speeds things up a fair bit.
