Well...depth is no longer much of a factor when it comes to catching the various fish sizes. But you can tell what sizes there are and which is going to bite before they do and retract your line and cast again...to only catch fish of the size you need.

That was patched because people couldn't catch the gas giant fish. You can now catch colossal in a puddle. Literally caught a colossal and 2 large from the 4 fish I had to catch for the expedition from a mineral rock with a bit of water in the center.

Not in a line. Four of a kind should be a square and additional bits connected around...and even then some things form more powerful connections than others so for hyperdrive the emergency warp drive is the best thing to form a square with the S or X modules and the various system drives only give connection bonuses but receive none so that should be accounted for...ie don't make a square of the 4 system drives, etc.

Living ships are generally not the best. You went a bit far with maneuverability imo. I only put one SC slot into pulse drive and only installed one trail. Got me over 900 maneuverability and that was fine.
