Stealth cloak in a charger slot lets you stealth for long enough to lower your wanted level multiple ticks

You can drop your wanted level to 0 by using stealth a couple times.

When you find pirate freighters attacking civilians every few warps, if you destroy the pirate freighter instead of negotiating then you’ll get modifications that boost your fleets

I’ve got a couple that reduce the expedition times by 15% and small boosts to mining and trade voyages

I look at updates as unnecessary for HG at this point (beyond bug fixes). The things they do for NMS have been a drag on their profit potential for over a year. They are clearly working on good will to build a following for their next big thing....and that's an investment strategy I can get behind.

You get your first freighter for free eventually, there will be an event when you warp into a system pirates will be attacking a freighter, and you can save the freighter from the pirates, and then you will land on the freighter and talk to the captain, he will give it to you for free. And then after that you just need some units accumulated and eventually if you go into space a couple of freighters with frigates will warp into the system, and then you have to find the science frigate, there will be a green diamond shape on the frigates you can recruit, with the unit symbol on it and you can recruit it into your fleet.

Well that's the thing tho you can play that event multiple times until you get the freighter that you want, so just keep warping into other systems and let the event keep happening until you find what freighter you want and it would be free
