There are no huge caves in vanilla. There are huge "rivers" that don't have water in them that look like a cave cuz it makes a tube. No cave animals will spawn there because it's not a cave.

For what? another 1 minute fight?

last part of drone quest, I went with my ship to the location. Found the pillar, parked my ship close to it. i built the exomech recall pod, the thign with the radar. I got control of it, I used the gun to paralize a sentinel walker then I went out and started to fight with my normal multitool. The AI pilot started to fight. And less than 1 minute the mech was on fire, without being able to move and three components damaged.
