That is not great for combat. You can make an Atlantid MT capable of mopping the floor with sentinels and everything else but combat isn't its strength...its primary function is mining bonus. For combat you probably want a sentinel or staff MT...and much better weapon setup.

So, I've done some experimentation and discovered something really unexpected! I used my cross-platform save from Steam (which has the majority of my expedition rewards on it) and played it on Xbox. From the Xbox version, I was able to claim ANY of my expedition rewards from Steam, PLUS the rewards that I had previously only attained while playing the Xbox version. I was able to do this even though the save I was using had not actually claimed any of these rewards previously.

I will say though the best quality of the gas giants is the fact that storm crystals are always active...makes it very easy to just go and pick up some when you need to craft warp hypercores.
