You may be met with a super slowdown, which would probably only get fixed with a restart, yes? We all know this. What I didn't know is, if you go into Photo-Mode when this occurs and wait 30 seconds to 1 minute the game catches up and you can continue as if nothing happened.

Makes sense, all animations are frozen except your camera.
