The only time I ever played NMS modded was when I only had a laptop and I used a mod to remove fade-in rendering and force pop-ins. GREATLY increased performance

Any one else corvette stats fluctuate? It seems everytime I load the game or change main lships the stats are never consistent, like the damage output, shields, hyperdrive and maneuverability

Three engines total will affect your stats. The first 3 placed.
If you mean by turbine the reactors, then they all stack separately. 3 each.

there's all reactors, 3x of each (2 for medusa) and 4x engines
this actually causes no clipping at all if you place habs right besides it lol
building an ship around is will look like an A-10 that's an gun built around an plane, in this case an corvette built around an engine lmao

That's incorrect if you place 3 before you put your cockpit in you'll have 3 medusas in your tech slots instead of a cockpit

You just need the items you want to place
And any items you delete it'll go back to your inventory
Or the corvette parts cache if your inventory is full

yeah because the parts you want to place will only mount on that side of the fab so we have to move the fab itself so that the part we actually want to place sits properly
yeah just need to figure out what part that will make it work without taking apart my whole ship now lol
parts that are "offset" can be placed over the non-offset parts as long it's bot overlapping another offset part
so you probably don't have to remove much if at all
idk if what i typed makes sense but definitely play around with it and you'll get it

I think the only thing I'd change on this is maybe making it one more set of wings wider before flipping them around to begin forming the rear of the ship. But other than that, I really like this latest iteration. Absolutely loaded with weapons, though they're all kinda useless.

People have to stop using the word "glitch" for everything. There is a trick, connect those parts with anything, goe to another corvette station at the front -- Build new corvette--- move the camera back to yours and delete the parts you dont want

oh you can just delete those if you want
Land at a space station, create a new blank corvette at a different terminal than your current one. Fly over and delete the hab,reactor etc from the current corvette and cancel the new build. Bam no hab required

upgrading ship class to S and diverting power is the only way to up local speeds as far as i know. But pulse engine upgrades speed up the pulse engine speed for travelling between planets

I tried exploring water world with legacy ship and cannot summon it on water, I had to restore the restore point coz I was stuck on planet.
Based on an user comment, corvette does not have this issue.

Place a hab, place a staircase inside, rotate it, then place a new hab rotated to align with the staircase.
This new hab will have reversed orientation.
Then attach the Arcadia wing. Then attach landing gear under the Habs. Delete both Habs to leave just the landing gear and Arcadia. Now you can place standard orientation hab back down.
Question: if i rotate a hab 90degrees to either direction and place a torpedo launcher on it, when firing it does the torpedo keep its trajectory to where its facing or does it ignore this and still launch forwards? Im basically asking if i can have false VLS or archer pod functionality

i have, with the ramp but it is kinda finniky and you have to place other items to get the height right, or just make a ladder leading up to the deck/walkway

I feel like I'm bugging you a lot, but I discovered you can build parts and habs at floor level. I scrapped the build but I made one where the front underbelly actually rested on the station landing pad.

I remember when the pictured landing pad had a cheaper build requirement than the silver base landing pad for some reason

hey guys, im trying to align these staircases (base item with first person) at the center of this hull connector, to do that I made walls for my character to align itself at the corner, so I can place the staircase 4 times perfectly on all 4 engines. Do I have ocd?!
So, via mods or glitches, putting base habs on a corvette works but they don't have proper bounds and it's possible to clip out by using your jetpack in them. I suggest if you do use them, you surround them with regular corvette parts like corvette habs
How do you put it there? Which module it is?
It also gets worse the further away the habs are from the corvette parts
I just feel like the regular corvette rooms are really cramped, like im hitting my head on the ceiling in first person mode

Hello everyone, I ran into an issue with my player-made freighter. When I tried to bring out an old archived ship, it ended up overwriting the freighter I had spent a lot of time designing. I also forgot at the time that I could load from an autosave backup. Is there any way to fix this bug or restore my freighter?

Without a save to fall back on, sadly not. This happened to me too but I immediately noticed and reloaded my save.

Hi, hereβs my situation: I have a backup save from September 14 that includes my gold ship and my red capital freighterβthese are my two favorite creations.
Since then, Iβve built 6 more ships. When I try to go back to that old save, only two freighters remain. I used a NMS SaveEditor to export the gold ship, but when I import it into my current save, my original red capital freighter disappears.
Iβm not sure if this is a game bug, but it seems like it caused my two favorite freighters to vanish.

Looking for help troubleshooting something. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong.
I've completed all of the corvette event related objectives except for one objective in the third phase requiring me to acquire an S class multi-tool. I can't seem to get an echo locator. I've killed dozens of corrupt sentinels (the purple wicked looking ones), but all I'm getting is antlantideum, nanites, and ammo from their combat drops. No echo locators at all, Something feels off.
These are the two ships, especially the one in the second picture.
After I restored the gold ship using the NMS save editor, these two ships disappear.π’
Something is being overwritten. Make sure your save editor is up to date, there might not be a version of it for the current version of NMS. Also try in #nms-questions since I'm at work and my ability to reply may be hindered. Someone there might also know more than me about this.
Wondering does anyone else get this problem in build mode inside your corvette, occasionally falling though the floor of it when moving around to place an object?

hey, i have a major issue with my save file related to my corvette... i got stuck VERY deep inside my cockpit's wall, simply from logging onto my save file, and i don't have the blueprint for any sitable furniture π i'm in a space station, and i've been trying to unstuck myself for a solid 45 minutes now... anyone know a way out of this?
If you were on PC you could use the save editor to put yourself somewhere else, I think.

Still looking for some direction regarding corrupt sentinels not dropping echo locators. Is there some other way I should be getting them, or is something off with the game itself? Several dozen killed, and no luck with echo locators.
Playing under the Corvette Expedition community event, not a normal game run. I've completed all the objectives except acquiring the S class multi tool. It is being stubborn, and has me thunking something is not working as it should.
It's an uncommon drop from Corrupt Sentinel Quadrupeds and it's also a rare alternate loot drop from Dissonance Resonators (the augur things that drop Inverted Mirrors)
So they drop primarily from the quads and resonators, not normal corrupt sentinels? Quest aid just says kill corrupt sentinels, so that is what I was focusing on. I'll focus on the others then.
Anyone found a way to build a ship using the Ambassador cockpit that doesn't make it look like it's about to get censored?
I have reset saves until I have a very high manouverability corvette base modules, so now I will make THE BEST CORVETTE I have ever made and it will be glorious. only issue is I dont know how to make it pretty yet
You can see what the Dissonance Resonator is gonna drop if you stand close to it, so you can avoid lots of fights

Yeah I looked it up, if you did the Echoes Quest "They who Returned" you should have access to the Polyphonic Core, an upgrade for your MT fueled by Atlantideum that can locate Autophage Camps
Just done with altering the design of the razor crest i found, 1 floor taller, a bit longer and now has functional hatches at the front as well like in the actual ship :p

It is strongly advised that you only use Experimental if you are going to engage in Beta testing and feedback the results to HG.
Most of the time it will be fine, but you are putting your save file as risk. Most of us make a copy of our save file before launching experimental and stay on it until the builds unify.
You can tell when this has happened by checking the Steam Depots here https://steamdb.info/app/275850/depots/
When Experimental and Public have the same number it is safe to switch out of the beta program because your save file will stay the same.
Most of the time your save file will be perfectly fine switching between builds but HG don't guarantee it and you could corrupt things and you may not realise for a long while.
So the safest way while Experimental is running is to revert to a backup save.

okay so in my findings, you can get different corvette stats per module per character, so maxing them all for a perfect stat corvette is basically impossible, but if we ignore all that, shields have diminishing returns making it not very important, boost is also not important as you can max it out easy enough anyways and jump distance basically doesnt matter with x class mods installed. So if you want to max maneuverability you should be aiming for three medusa reactors with 15 maneuverability each and then boosters with 16 each.
ive gotten close with my best rolled charactrer, but I am still about 20 off from perfection
oh so i heard if you upgrade your corvette to S class you can not add anymore tech slots or storage is that true ?
I mean outside of the base s class ones I do not believe so. I mean that the modules you add have variable stats based on character, though within the character they are the same across all corvettes. Like your wings will have different stats than mine.
Upgrading to s class allows you to get 60 tech slots tho

I am trying to get a roll with perfect maneuverability right now. There is some guy who has gotten over 7k on reddit but based on his module stats I should already be able to beat him with my best roll, but it isnt enough! I need to get the actual max!
