I assume with the nms Base Builder App. It's a standalone program that lets you move, rotate and scale parts among other things. I'm just getting into it myself but it seems to bring much more possibilities to building than the janky building system of nms

I showed my dad the corvettes you could make in nms and he wanted to create one, so i taught him the basic steps and i believe he did a great job for the first time! He named it "Stormbreaker" and he was proud! Made it all by himself, never helped him once except when teaching him the habs and what he needed.

I had a second hatch in the trailer and no connection from the trailer to the truck. Downside is, if you teleport from your freighter to the Corvette, it teleports you to the trailer hatch and not the truch itself.... No way you can get to the cockpit from the trailer.

I had absolutely no knowledge of that game, before you mentioned it.

From what I understand the "first" hatch you place is the one you beam up to. I have the Thunderbird hatch behind my cockpit to use to get to a reactor room, and I always beam up to it. Although I could just be lucky lol

I just built a basic corvette underneath all that, then added void husks at the back for tentacles, compound bulbs for the rest of it, and then a watchful protrusion to add to the tentacles because that moves and adds some life to the thing. I also used plate stems for the little wing things that stick out from the ship

It's still not quite how I want it to look, but as long as things are allowed to clip through the walls of corvettes from the outside, I'm just going to have to live with this for now I think

The corvette's base is 3 regular size habs connected side by side. The one in center has cockpit attached to it so that's taken care of. Then I spent a lot of time trying to stick something onto the flat front surface of the other 2, but just couldn't find anything that looked ok... So I watched that Beeblebum's video on how to flip any item by 180 and stuck a couple of thruster in the front and that felt right. Having them spewing smoke is just a nice side-effect.

BigDame420 on Reddit built this first so credit to him for Building the Crab Sonoshee from the movie Redline; I essentially reversed engineered this from 3 jpeg images on reddit and changed it a bit to a slightly different version in the movie where the big engines come out.

This is maxed out at 100 pieces with a lot of testing and glitch building techniques in game with 0 mods; i was even able to delete some fill in pieces so i can put in 2 medusa and 2 zenith reactors, 2 phase beam cannons, 2 Titan Engines, 1 Shield part, 1 hab with 2 hab walkways. Maneuvering with no extra mods is around 739

Wish i had a increased limit because i could put more tech in hidden in the front nacelle's and maybe style the back a bit more.

Just the offset glitches to offset half a place forward/back and left/right directions.

That let me join diffusers to one another etc for a narrower shape

Here is my original design the Rogue Shadow Mk I. Extremely fast and maneuverable, the Rogue Shadow is designed as a solar system defender and explorer. Room for storage and others inside however it is not designed for long hyperspace travel.

My three Star Wars ships: C-70 Cruiser (the first ship from the Phantom Menace you see) designed for quests and long exhibitions, the C-70 known as Hermes, is able to carry 8 comfortably and with a hyperdrive range rivaling freighters is perfect for ambassadorial visits. The Vulture Droid is designed as a space superiority fighter and is modified to allow for living pilots. Finally the Imperial Star Destroyer Chimera Mark I is designed as an all purpose ship great for any mission and with room for 12 the biggest in my fleet.

Gave my primary ship a makeover after the expedition. Most Atlas parts are too large and outlandish to fit with it, but I found a use for the pyramid as a sort of ersatz landing strut, and it fit the red warning highlights in that area of the ship.

It's a fairly long and repetitive process, but overall it's not difficult at all. I recommend searching YouTube for tutorials on how to create UFO-shaped Corvettes, and you'll quickly understand how. Simply put, you use a circular piece, and by freely positioning glass pieces on recognizable markings, you can place other pieces in a circular pattern to create the shape. I hope I helped!

I've noticed those new fuel tank and gantry hull attachments sometimes glitch inside of their other half, let's you then stack stuff inside itself

I usually just offset so it's half and half, then hide the reactor by attaching another something to the original half
