Ok i have done as you said when i chose start streming i chose the first option which should direct me to facebook and it's not directing me there

I chose steramer dashboard on the right side on my obs live it directed me there and shown me this

It has two options set up live stream or test boradcast

It actually doesnt even open any pages after i choose that option i click on the streamer dashboard in my chat on obs live then it directs me to the page on the left where there is no option to go live but the two options i mentioned above

If you are not seeing likes/shares on your current stream or page, that might be due to how the privacy settings of the person liking/sharing your stream are set.
If they are set to private we won't be able to see the events.
Specifically for shares, if they share in private groups, we won't be able to see the event.

Anyone else having this issue? It streams fine for 5 or so minutes and then goes straight into the trashcan and this did not happen at all yesterday. Uninstalled items that I didn't need, tried using OBS network optimization, and saw some port forwarding recommendations. Still nothing.

Do you see the purple button at the bottom of the activity feed widget? Please click it, it will reconnect that for you.

Valve has implemented a trusted mode which does not allow OBS to hook CS:GO using Game Capture. Read more in their announcement post here https://blog.counter-strike.net/index.php/2020/07/30736/.

Additionally, they have no plans on allowing OBS in trusted mode. https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=8835-KLXV-0292#whitelist You will need to run the game in either windowed or borderless fullscreen and use Window Capture instead.
Alternately, you can launch the game with -allow_third_party_software.

Hiya! I have all my accounts connected under one but my Twitch is my primary I think. I would like to set up my Facebook profile to have the chat show to me on the OBS streaming set up like me Twitch does (off on the side on my panel). The issue is that when I add chat, it uses my Twitch. Is there a way to be connected so my chatbot could do both? Or should I have a separate account for my Facebook? And launching stream straight from the panel as well. Because I don't even see the options on the website for a secondary currently. I need both as I am split to both on different nights. I guess what I'm asking in simplest terms is, is there a way to have different accounts both functioning as separate entities if they're connected under one profile? Thanks in advance.

If a viewer tipped through PayPal but no information appears in your StreamElements account, this generally means PayPal has held the tip for verification.
Until PayPal clears the tip and sends back a confirmation to your StreamElements account, no information will appear there and no alert will play, as that confirmation is the only way for us to be aware of a successful transaction.
There is a posibility that the tip may have been sent as an eCheque/eCheck - these tips can take from 7 up to 21+ days to show up on our side. Tippers can usually cancel these.
If you believe there may be an issue with the transaction, you'll need to contact PayPal support as StreamElements is only a passthrough service and never actually gets involved with the transaction or touches the money

I’m going to chuck this one up to FBG updating to new layout.. my page will be forced to change in 2 days. It’s a pity that SE haven’t been able to coordinate with FBG to get this fixed before they flip the switch. Loved using SE’s OBS.live, might have to look for some other solutions.. This is the issue.. SE have not been able to fix the chat since FBG started making changes/updating to the new page layout.. only way it works it would be to revert your page to classic, which can’t be done anymore.. my FBG page will be update in 1 day and I’m pretty sure I’ll be stumbling around to find a pop out chat window I can use as a custom browser dock in OBS that I don’t have to update every time I go live..

Depends on your source resolution and your canvas resolution - those should match so you can just use "fit to screen"

This should work. We rely on Facebook updating the status that the stream is live so the chat can be loaded.
Also the streams have to be public for it to work, private streams will not work.

It hasn't worked. I'm doing this for a Facebook Gaming Partner who's a few years in, with streams that are public with VoDs, and we frequently switch back and forth between Twitch for activation streams and such, so we constantly log back out and in, and it's the same thing. If you are not hearing your alerts and/or Media Request, you are most likely using the Control Audio via OBS option in your browser source properties.

• from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

We can't really help with audio issues like that. I would start with lowering the hardware usage on that PC and checking if the issue persists.

There is no easy way to unlink 2 owner-type accounts from each other. The only way is to make a closure request from here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security

WARNING: In submitting a closure request, all linked channels within the account will be deleted and you will lose all associated data. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data (tips, subs, etc). You can still reconnect with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

hopefully they will have the chat figured out by the time everyone is moved to their new page.

while streamelements doesn't use the .overlay extension, OBS itself does - just go to "Scene Collection" at the top and choose "import", then browse to your .overlay file.
You won't be able to use StreamElements to modify this overlay, as streamelements are browser based than file based.

I stream on Facebook, and in the Widget data page under the "Totals" tab my follower count says 43 when it's actually at 100. Can anyone tell me why that is and how to fix it? I can do the session goal thing, but would be nice not have to check that each time. TIA!

If you are not hearing your alerts and/or Media Request, you are most likely using the Control Audio via OBS option in your browser source properties.
To make sure you hear the alerts and the stream also hears them, follow along the screenshot bellow.

2 issues,

1. Facebook live chat is not displaying in the SE chat dock (not an overlay the actual dock) it keeps saying it cannot detect a live video on my profile. I've logged out and in multiple times, Uninstalled and re installed SE, tried fresh stream keys, and no luck. The chat dock was working fine a couple weeks ago.

2. Not really SE related, but for my Facebook live commands, all of them work except for !clip, which Facebook gives the message "this video does not support live clipping", I have the command enabled in Facebook settings, and upon joining the stream it says "try commands like !clip, !followage, ect ect." I've searched online and cannot find a fix for this, and fb doesn't seem to address it in any of their help menus.

it's been about a month since ive had this problem. everytime i go live im not able to see chats so i have to open facebook to directly see all the people chatting. i asked here before but no one actually gave attention to it i think someone just directed me to log in log out but that didnt fix anything

@tough lotus Same problem here! I now use the Facebook-Live-Producer instead for the chat, it's not to bad. I now can see the moderator-activities and also the "first star senders". Do you use the new facebook-page? Maybe it works with the old fb page version.

i tried accessing live producer but facebook says im not live, i was prompted to switch to the new facebook page switching (which sucks so much). and sometimes i get lost on where i can find my live stream where i can manually pop up my chat. would like to get help from that too xD

my alerts don't work on facebook live unless i test them with stream elements but with real people liking them on facebook they don't go off. i just tested them on twitch and youtube they work fine with real people liking the stream but they won't work on facebook.

Not sure where to post this. Using the streamelements overlay editor. I'm uploading a WebM file and it is not displaying any video once uploaded. Have opened it on my computer and it plays normally but once uploaded to the alert box it just displays like there is no video

Okay so restarting chrome allowed me to drag and drop. But still when dragging the video over. Hit play and it won't play. Not sure. Maybe I'll tinker more but I haven't done anything different from previous WebM conversions in Adobe.

you have to check how to make it compatible with chrome

I believe the file needs to be converted to yuv420p

Fixed it. Not sure why but the WebM codec needs to be VP8. All good

Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

Speed tests usually cannot help solve this problem and its best to use this guide: https://obsproject.com/wiki/Dropped-Frames-and-General-Connection-Issues

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

FB and YT work differently
we've been having a lot of issues with FB changes made unexpectedly which quite often broke usual functionality

i'm not sure what's their most recent update with the pages experience

if the user is an admin in that page and it's a gaming page, you can try this -

1. Use this URL in order to logout of StreamElements - https://streamelements.com/logout
2. Remove the integration in your FBGG page settings [https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=business_tools&ref=settings]
3. Then navigate to https://streamelements.com/ to login to your FBGG account again in order to re-integrate.

You should first be prompted to choose an account, and then a relevant page.
Make sure to use Chrome and to allow all requested permissions.

and sadly I have no idea how streamlabs operate so I cannot advise as to why it works there

Quick question. I began having issues yesterday with alerts not showing for likes and shares. I have tried removing the alert box and putting it back but it didn't work. Is this a FB issue? It works for stars but nothing else. I may be hemorrhaging viewers due to not seeing interaction until it is too late. I apologize in advance if this particular issue has been discussed previously.

I got a question for y'all. My cousin uses StreamElements on Facebook to stream himself playing call of duty.

At the start of his streams, he plays a music video of highlights as a kind of intro sequence. During this video, it will slow down at a couple different points, with both audio and video slowing down, including that halfway entertaining way that slowed down audio sounds deeeepeerr aaannnddd slllooowwweerrr.

I've double checked the source file he uses for it, and that file is in working order. My best guess is that his computer, a relatively old laptop, just isn't powerful enough to handle what's being asked of it. But hey, I'm no expert and I don't stream, personally.

What do y'all think? Any other ideas what could be causing these instances of slow-downs?

Correct, mate. It's just a video playing, but it slows down at seemingly random points.
I checked the video file for him, and it plays normally with no slow downs. It only does it when it plays it for his stream intro.

Dropped frames are usually a result of connection issues, haven't seen any issues based on the software itself.
