Has anyone managed to get the StreamElements mobile app successfully stream to Twitch on a Samsung S20+? It all worked fine with the S10 before - but get lots of problems now - like it just suddenly disconnects after about 30s, when it does keep streaming on Twitch you just see a green glitchy image. Maybe there are some bugs that need ironing as it’s a newly released device?

Also I purchased reflector 3 Screen mirrioring for my iphone. Only problem i am having is trying to stream it reflecting to obs.live from my mirrioring on my pc back from the iphone......

@kind ermine if you have the mr widget in the mobile overlay simply open the phone browser and navugate to the MR page. Play a somg and tap show on stream and dont close the browser but simply switch to the app

As long as the browser is active in the background it will play music for the stream that way

As for ours, what is your phone model and do you have other things running in the background while streaming with our app?

Consoles do not have the functionality to use overlays or anything audio or video related. In order to stream it, you need to get your PS4 gameplay to your PC using a capture card or remote play and stream from your PC.

The main overlay that is loaded by the mobile is this one.
If you want to change anything(sound, images, etc), you will need to edit this one.
The app loads it automatically. One thing to note is, you don't see the overlay loaded on your side, its loaded on your stream(viewer) side.
This specific overlay is created once you login for the first time to the App with your account. In case you delete this overlay, you will have to logout of the app(clear cache and data in the phone settings) and login again to recreate it.

When I put in my email for my YouTube, it redirected me to a page that said the browser my not be secure and to try refreshing. Which I could not figure out how to do. So I then tried searching my email. That did not work either. I then put my phone # in and that brought up two different emails. One was mine and one I do not recall creating. Yet it had my picture. If that makes sense.

It freaked me out a bit so I removed permissions and uninstalled. I want to use the app for Twich and maybe YouTube live streaming.

Not sure what exactly is going on with mobile streaming for me. Currently streaming at 720p, 60 fps, and 4000 kbps on a Pixel 3A. The stream becomes very pixelated and then runs at like 10 fps. The only way to fix it is to end the stream and turn it back on. I'm wondering if it is a camera issue with my Pixel 3A. The light in the room was changing consistently so maybe that could have been it. Here's a picture of what is going on.

Oh boy do i have some stuff to sort out

streaming via a Galaxy S10+ at 1080p 60fps @ 30000 kbps over a WiFi-LAN connection resulted in zero vid but audio (maintained the 30 000 kbps bit rate tho) had do clear cache and data to make it work on any other setting - moved to 1080p 30 FPS on 10 000 kbps no issues but randomly cut out and locked up the stream - even had to clear cookies on twitch to be able to use my stream dashboards video previewer

i cleared data and cache on the app and recleared it on my desktop browser to restore functionality

but have stopped the stream test for now - any advice on what settings i should be running for streaming via the phone as opposed to an RTMP camera for the moment? was hoping to do an IRL stream on sunday for my birthday but wanted to use the streamelements app i mean i could go back to using the competition or just do it straight from twitch but lets face it - i dont want to lol

i would recommend not using such extreme bitrates

Ok , my options has run dry, I am using an IRL backpack setup, and I use streamelements Companionmode to get my alerts played thru a a speaker, as of late I get popups on my screen every 60seconds or so. "Chat connection lost" This is destroying my stream as I stream from the same phone I have streamelements companionmode running in the background. Can I disable chat entirely in companion mode to make it stop doing this? or why does it do it? I cant seem to figure it out

I'm having the same issue as @viral holly the screen gets really purple, it lags every 10 seconds, and then gets super blurry. Here's a screen shot of the blurriness. It happens whenever I move and then the background slowly gets blurry and pixelated as well.

I'm on a Pixel 3A. Tried clearing the cache and redownloading the app, restarting my phone, restarting my wifi, etc. Nothing seems to work

Here's an example of the purple and pixelated color that happens toward the end and I'm forced to restart the app/stream.

I think I might be crazy but I was doing a test stream and when I fired a Test Alert Event, the Alert showed on my Stream but when a Channel that has never subscribed to me subscribes, the Activity Feed and the Alerts dont pick it up

Continuing my discussion here, so, after I tested on a Unlisted Stream, I found that the alerts work fine, although it takes StreamElements a while to register, the only issue is the Audio from the Phone's Mic sounds like someone is rapidly spamming the Mute Mic button. Here is a clip of that audio sample. Notice how theres a 3 second silence when the stream begins

I'd like to request a feature where you can set the default orientation in the app. It doesn't move depending on the rotation of the phone (you have to choose it every time) and it defaults to vertical. It's easy to forget to switch it, go live, and then realize that your viewers are having a terrible experience.

Have you loading the overlay in your phone browser and just switch to w/e app you are using to stream with?

It might be possible iOS just hibernates the browser when put in the background so it doesn't play sound.

I would recommend our app in companion mode, but since we don't have an iOS version, currently the only way I can think of

is this:

Make a new overlay, duplicate the alert widget to it

add the chat widget to it - customize it

add an event list to it

make it the size of the phone's screen and text size enough so that you can read it

then just load the overlay in the phone browser

OK Lets Try two more questions. Sorry to bug. So like I said yesterday I did a biking stream and the post stream video was great looks smooth no glitches but some of the viewers said it was choppy on their end and F-ing a ton... App? or Viewer issue?
Secondly did a stream to day again outdoors and bikes. shot fine for the first 30 min. then the rest of the Vod is just all black. The app was running fine but any reason why the video would have just been solid black?! ugh

It always shows a default sound/image in the app when you press that button.

But as long as custom settings are saved in mobile overlay then when the event is activated on stream, it'll play your custom stuff.

A phone cannot magically apply overlays to a PS4 stream. Nothing can. You must stream from PC using a capture card or remote play.

@grim carbon Our Dashboard and Overlay editor are Chromium Optimized. We strongly recommend using Chrome. Opera GX and the new Microsoft Edge Chromium might work closest to Chrome as its also Chromium built. FireFox also works, but some things might look a bit different or not work. We do not recommend using Internet Explorer with our Dashboard as it does not support functions.
If the website doesn’t work on chrome, be sure none of your plugins are blocking our website or clear your cookies. You can try if the website works in a incognito tab.

I believe it will not - it will only pick it up via the microphone, but if you are using Media request, you can use the "show on stream" video

but you will have to use MR from the dashboard, via the phone's browser
