Gotcha. You mentioned uninstalling, but would we be able to uninstall, delete that plugins folder I mentioned earlier, and then re-install? seems like something is getting caught

For this, just completely delete the obs-studio folder. And I would grab a fresh install from https://obsproject.com/ before you install SE.Live

Yeah, that black screen should be the login spot. One more thing I could suggest is checking Hardware Acceleration to see if that's keeping the page from loading

What are some settings I can look over to help my FPS when streaming?
When I stream Destiny 2 on Streamlabs I can stream at 60fps. But my CPU usage is through the roof.
I made the hop over back to OBS w StreamElements which feels so much cleaner but when test streaming I cant manage to get my fps while streaming back up to 60+Fps it hovers at low 50's. What can I do?

hey im in need of some help i just installed SELive on to OBS and unfortunately neither my Facebook Chat or Activity feed is showing anything when im live. Hey! I'm having an issue with the overlay editor not working on my twitch account. When I create a new overlay and try to add widgets to it the widgets don't show up and have null values. Also when trying to edit existing overlays it just says that the overlay does not exist. I tried signing with my other personal account and on there everything works as intended, when opening the overlay editor for the first time the tutorial popped up and all(which didn't happen on the account i'm streaming from).
Any help with this?

When i click close programs to continue update it just ends. I have to re-open obs and the whole process starts over again. any idea what I should do?

The scene in question has my camera, a window capture for Firefox, some GDI sources and an html browser source running some javascript on it. Some streams it crashes, some streams it doesn't.

It seems the audio consistently does not stay at the previous level between sessions (though the volume slider on the widget control does stay) and I wind up needing to increase the volume before the widget plays normally. I hadn't had this happen until a few revisions ago but figured it would be something I could get assistance on within here. Yep, the volume adjuster on the docked widget inside of OBS. It will show it's at 100% but be closer to 30% until I just click the volume bar in the widget again

With monitors of different resolutions you can run into this. I believe a fix is putting OBS on whichever monitor the program you're recording is on.

i also have only my primary 360hz monitor plugged in right now, but want to run obs on my 240hz monitor (or whatever i can do to stop the trash frames i get on the 360 monitor)... both are normally plugged via display ports, me installing it while only 360hz monitor should have no effect down the road right

So I believe that happens when you try to try to uninstall while the obs-studio folder is on the system. If you uninstall OBS and delete this folder, this uninstall should complete

thats what I did prior
when they were deleted, when i ran se.live uninstalled it would only load 1/4th the way then just auto close out, yet still appear in my add/removed program to attempt to reuninstall

Sure! I'm trying to set my custom bot name using a separate twitch account to my personal one. I've followed all the normal steps to do this, but whenever I test my commands in chat, nothing comes up and the test message from SE Live also doesn't come through.
I've just done the fix above that was mentioned to RangerSerena who was having a similar issue and it's still not working, sadly
I've tried disconnecting the bot account and reconnecting several times and still nothing - all my commands just stop working as soon as it's a custom bot name and go back to functioning fine as soon as it's back to streamelements

Hi I'm having a similar issue to phroobin and rangerserena.
I'm attempting to change to a custom bot, but when I try to log in to the bot, it does nothing. The "SEND TEST MESSAGE" button is still grayed out. The only clickable buttons are "Connect custom bot account" and "Save". My commands work fine if the bot is StreamElements or my own username.
Apparently the feature can only be unlocked if I use SE.Live (I am), Connecting and midding SE bot (I did), and add the SE Tipping Link to a panel (I did, even though I don't use SE for tips, but it's there).
I've tried these troubleshooting steps <#helpdesk-selive message> and I can't get past step 4. Neither localhost:40404 nor 127.0.0.1.40404 work for me.
I have also attempted logging out/logging in, and checked for updates (none).
Please advise?

Hey Guys! I'm trying to customise my alerts using the Overlays, but when I make changes to the Images and Sounds, not all of them get recognised after I click save. Eg: I have changed the image and sound of the Follow and Sub alerts, When I emulate the follow it works with the image and sound that I've selected. But when I Emulate the Sub alert, it reverts back to the default despite the changes being there after I've clicked save. Am I missing anything?

Yes, this is what is opening
But the reason I need to uninstall is having a sound problem. When I open the above overlay (which is the one I am using of late) it appears some global setting is incorrect coz I loose all sound. It only happens with this particular overlay, the others of mine i.e. the Xmas one works fine with sound. Not sure where or why I am getting no sound in the above overlay... cannot figure out the problem. Some global overlay setting for the sound seems to have been muted and I cannot figure out where or how? (Unless you can help me through Quick Assist?)

Hey, everytime I launch OBS it says that I have an update for SE. I click update and then once its done and I launch it again it comes up saying theres another update but its the exact same one so im stuck in a loop of constantly trying to apply the same update. Been having a lot of issues with setting a custom bot name or even just setting it to my own twitch name. The custom bot name never worked, while the own twitch name works for a split second after relogging into streamelements but then just stops working. I have done all the prequisites, have reinstalled OBS and SE live multiple times, and did the debugging multiple times. And still it won't work for me and I'm close to giving up.

Hi there - I'm getting an issue with a remux recording. I get an error box that says "recording remuxed, but the file may be incomplete." In premiere pro it's only bringing in the audio, and I remuxed again after restarting OBS thinking it may be an issue with the file location (or encoder?), but it wasn't. The previous recording remuxed just fine, the only change I made was to remove one audio line from the recording (my mic track), so now it's only recording game sound, and the the game capture. I'm a bit confused what "media_remux: failed to open output file" means. I have a problem for the last few months. I can't set my custom bot name in OBS.
I'm logging in, authorise, and save but it's still StreamElements who's answering. In the dropdown menu, there isn't even the name of my bot account.
I tried this over a few months now, each month a couple of times. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
I don't know where I can find the version of StreamElements plugin for OBS but the OBS version is 27.2.4
If anyone needs more information, feel free to ping me. And if anyone knows the problem and how I can fix this, please tell me how.

For the last couple of weeks, I have been having issues with OBS and Minecraft crashing. I have upgraded the Nvidia drivers, OBS/StreamElements, and Minecraft. I have created brand new instances of Minecraft in MultiMC that have not mods. I am still having the crashing issue whenever on a scene that has the game capture enabled. This is a dual-GPU system (RTX 3050 and RTX 3070) and it has been working up until now.
Please advise on what type of logs that I need to provide.

How much ram do you have and how much are you giving Minecraft? Is it Java edition or bedrock?

RAM is 64GB, Minecraft has 3GB dedicated to it. It has always worked in Game Capture in the past. The version is Minecraft Java edition.
The issue has only started within the past couple of weeks. I have been using OBS to stream since the past summer.

I may just figured out about the browser bug fix in SELive (where the login and other browser stuff dosent load in), just go to settings, advanced, go to sources and disable Enable Browser Source Hardware Acceleration. Then restart your OBS!

Thank you Orsuna. 8GB of RAM made no difference. I swapped to Window mode and it hasn't crashed yet. This isn't ideal though and still doesn't solve for something that has worked for over 1/2 a year.

Hello. This is the 2nd day of streaming that is ruined by kb/s speed not staying where it should be. Internet speed has been checked and is good. Cpu utilization is where it always is. Have tried stable and beta versions and have changed twitch severs but nothing works. Any suggestions?

If you use that as an overlay - would recommend turning on the "shutdown when not visible" option in the browser source settings. That reloads the overlay every time you open the scene - will reset the video but might have a short delay

Every time I stream Squad after about 20 minutes OBS Studio just freezes and hangs.
I have done testing I can play the game in Epic Settings no problem, I can play the game in High Settings and stream to Discord with no problem.
I have the game all the way down to medium when streaming with OBS and it still crashes.
I have to force quit OBS each time, I have re-installed OBS still same issue.
I play and stream other games with OBS like Warzone, Apex Legends with no issue at all on high graphics, this is only an issue with Squad even with Squad on lower quality settings.

Hi,
Sadly this is not an option. Ground Control is not being developed for a couple of years now, so the software is provided "as is". We recommend SE.Live (previously OBS.Live) to have those hotkeys.

oh i see, yea im already using se.live but using the media share dock is not an option for me because i wanna split my audio, but since thats a dock you cant really split it from obs' audio track
sadly the se.live media dock is the only one that has the hotkey option, which is a bummer. now i gotta look for alternative bots

Currently the dropdown to choose a bot name is inactive. I found a reddit topic that suggest I destroy some tokens and tried launching the remote-debug options in OBS. The issue is that when I open the StreamElements Activity Feed debug page, it doesn't load anything so I can't proceed.

I just got a new mic (Blue Yeti) and it's working everywhere but OBS (SE.Live) It's showing feedback in the audio mixer, the bar moves when I speak, but when I record and watch playback there's no audio! My audio is also going through voicemod. I'm hearing myself there and it's working in discord as well, just nothing from the se.live recording. I don't want to go live if nobody will hear me
