Alright this is the second time within a month ive gotten problems since theres an se live update .. uninstalling obs and reinstall and losing all those scenes and settings again and again CANNOT BE THE FIX guys. Come on! Well ill let you know if antthingg on my end changes

Just saw this now, yes, it did "solve" the problem, but if you're running heavy/animated browser sources keep an eye on things because they might lag without hardware accel. For simple scrolling text and having a small video player on the screen it's been fine. I'm on a 5800x though, but idk how well say an entire animated overlay, alerts, and video would do, while streaming + gaming on software rendered elements etc.

Updated SE.live, now it won't load whenever I open OBS and it prompts for an update, but after it installs it cycles back to launching, not loading SE.live and just loading regular OBS, and then prompting for an update again

Woke up to test obs again this morning. Still same issue. It's not my system because others are having the same issue.
At this point I believe it is a connection issue with the SE servers. Not authenticating accounts and letting people login / connect.
If staff or mods have any information on this it would be really helpful to know how long til it's fixed.

Could also explain why overlays are not being displayed even without SE Live. Because the servers are not registering a connection between OBS and the SE user account.

I've logged into my Bot account quite a few times now for over 10mins but it never actually accepts it when I click "Authorise". I'm getting email confirmations that I've logged in but no change on the Activity Feed window.

If you are not seeing the OBS Twitch integrations and have SE.Live installed, please follow these steps:

1. Make sure you are on the latest and greatest version of SE.Live
2. Exit OBS (make sure OBS is not running)
3. Delete %appdata%\obs-studio\plugin_config\obs-browser\obs_profile_cookies
4. Start SE.Live
5. Settings > Stream > Disconnect > Connect

@heady sluice Looks like using Chrome fixed my issue, apologies for the unnecessary work on your end as I should have provided that info to begin with. Though just a heads up, the link to bring you to the youtube section for adding chatbot as a moderator doesn't work as intended and brings the user to an actual youtube channel and not where they can add moderators within youtube studio.

Nope, SE.Live is a plugin so it shouldn't touch those items set up in OBS already. Also you'll find Bits settings under the "cheer" alert settings, and then clicking on variation settings.

I've been having a peculiar issue with StreamElements right now. Upon launching it and OBS opening up, it'll download the SE add-on but then OBS will close and SE will open a setup window where it's supposedly installing itself(?) despite already being installed? Re-launching it just causes the exact same thing to happen.

do me a favor and completely uninstall OBS as well, but then download only OBS Studio from obsproject.com. When you uninstall OBS, you should have an option to keep profiles/scenes, and backing up %appdata%/obs-studio/basic/ will retain the profile/scene information

the other option is to download the OBS Studio installer and run it and select "Repair" @raven sapphire

i got it to work without the streamelements plugin se live installed. as soon as its back and even when i disconnect and reconnect its all fucked up again.. this is the end for the se live integration for me.. unless there is A PROPER fix. i guess you have to do it without the se intergration man, @raven sapphire my problem was i was logged oud of obs so it never got back so i tried logging in without the se and then install the se live integration but when i did that everything was fucked once again. I mean i really loved the integration, but being F-d for two days just ends it for me.. theres no fix maybe somehow an older version if that still is possible to run on obs because well usually you HAVE to install the update wich is ofcourse very annoying but for now obs is working fine without SE for me. hope you get it to run again hope any of this message helps and goodluck with your stream

I hit close programs and resume set up... and it closes... and doesn't resume the set up. So I have to start the whole process again. Anyone know how to update SELive without having to open OBS and thus "skip" this step?

I updated my information and I have gone to make my first withdraw Jan 16th and It told me that it was validating my bank information take 7 days. Try clearing the cookies and cache of the browser, then load it back up. It definitely glitches out sometimes!

2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name

I have a problem with shuffling the media (youtube playlist). Someone on here clicked the shuffle button one time to activate and clicked it again to turned it off and it worked for them. I did it, and it actually went to point A to point B of the playlist. More than likely your accounts need to be merged! - Please note:

Hello, i am trying to set up alerts on my youtube channel. they seem to not be working though, my previews show up in stream but when someone subscribes or does anything else it doesn't show up... i have all my alerts set up properly and have the browser source selected and in obs studio. so i'm stuck with broken widgets.

I double checked everything. I use WaveLink and I set the output for OBS to WaveLink Aux 1 in the windows settings. It worked without any problems before, but since the update the audio just disappeared

I wanted to give it another try and for whatever reason it started working again. It seems as if I have to set the sound output in windows settings for "obs-browser-page" rather than "obs-studio". Although I tried changing it but it didn't work, but now all of a sudden it worked.

Yeah you shouldn’t have to change any of that. I’d take a closer look at your audio settings and maybe reset them and follow up with that guide

2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.

recently, the SE bot changed its name back to the default StreamElements. Mine used to have a custom name via a separate twitch channel login but it has not worked in a couple days

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Hye guys! I'm running into an issue. I am on mac, have OBS installed, installed SE.Live, it opens the 'SE.LIve0OBS' window and wants me to log in to twitch. However, when i enter my creds in, and then confirm via email code - SE.LIve-OBS errors out and closes, then on reopen - asks to be logged into twitch (anything) again. went through that 4 times before coming here. Anyhelp is appreciated!

Hi there. I have a problem. When I click on the 'Settings' button, OBS seems to seek to open the menu but nothing appears. After a few seconds OBS freezes and I see a blue wheel turning a loop in place of my cursor. This step seems endless. If I click in the OBS window, a white veil appears and nothing happens. I seem to be stuck at this step indefinitely. No crash log. I have to quit OBS with Windows Task Manager.

I tried with several collections. It seems that the more scenes in the collection, the longer the menu appears. My OBS setup requires many scenes, so I can no longer access the Settings menu at all.

I imagine that by waiting a very long time, maybe it would appear but that is not the expected behavior for this kind of buttons.

I asked for help on the OBS forum and they refer me to you. Yet I thought I had uninstalled SE.Live then installed OBS 27.2.3

It seems that somewhere in my log something tells them I'm still using SE.Live.

I have had big crashing issues lately streaming Elden Ring. Its hard for me to say if its the games fault tho.

I get ecoding errors and OBS just freezes and i dont get any crash log, so its hard for me to figure out what is going on.

ok that kind of work but at the same time it didnt, because not all the elements from my overlay showed up..... just some of them,.... what I did was to create a new test overlay, copy that link and set it up in the obs scene, and then copied the old link from my allready custom overlay and set it up again on obs.... and that kind of show the complete custom overlay....

still.... the uploaded images, custom background, and other elements from the overlay within the edit section in the streamlements web page (not OBS, obs is fine) are not showing, so I cant not edit them.... they are kind of loading but then at the end they dont load at all....... firts time this happend....

there is specially one large image that I set up as background on the edit section of streamlemenets personal overlays section and that definitely doesnt want to load at all..... all try removing the image and loading it up again....

Here's a good one. I have a custom font enabled in my overlays. Built my overlays on a Windows computer that has the font installed. Looks great in the web editor. looks great when overlay is placed in OBS on my mac, where the font is also installed. Went to a random computer today and did some work on it. Fonts were off til I remembered I wasn't on one of my machines. Downloaded the font, installed and looks great. Went home to my MAIN STREAMING COMPUTER where the font is (of course) installed and in use extensively within OBS. Added the overlay: all fonts are the default. I don't even know how to Google this. Any ideas?

EFFFFF MEEEEE Apparently on EVERY OTHER computer the font name contains a hyphen but for some reason on this machine it does not. Problem solved but not in a satisfying way

Hello! I have a problem with shuffling the media (youtube playlist). Someone on here clicked the shuffle button one time to activate and clicked it again to turned it off and it worked for them. I did it, and it actually went to point A to point B of the playlist. Problem is, that point B is still playing in order, it just changed the current "starting video" and keep playing from that one, nothing else is shuffled. And the trick of clicking the button doesn't work again, I tried many times.

I wanted to implement the SEpay pay donation option for my steams today but for some reason It wont let me telling following "SEPay is not available due to region constraint or channel size. If you're from the US and have over 100 followers please contact our support to enable this feature.". I looked in to it and saw that SEpay should be available in Germany.
So I wanted to know if I could get help with that matter or if some one here could help me direct towards some one that could help me out with this. Thank you (:

Dunno if anyone else is having this issue, but I was supposed to start my stream nearly an hour ago. I start OBS, everything looks fine, but when I hit "start streaming" it looks as if it's live but no green square indicating it's broadcasting to Twitch. Before you ask, yes, I updated the stream key. Yes, also logged in via Twitch. And when you hit "stop streaming" it gets stuck on "stopping stream......." and I have to force exit OBS to continue.

And before you also ask, I have the latest versions of both SE. Live and OBS

I updated my streamelements to the latest version with OBS 27.2.3 and now my screen keeps turning white, how can this be solved? When I do a complete reinstall with normal obs 27.2.3 then it works... Is Streamelements maybe outdated? I stream from a laptop so I dont have a graphics card only the graphics from the intel board.

Using SE.Live and trying to change to bot name to my channel name. All 3 requirements have a checkmark, when I click 'Send Test Message' nothing shows up in the chat.

Have already tried refreshing the chat.
Tested a command earlier using the default StreamElements bot name and no issues with second screenshot.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

I'm trying to create a new overlay, but every overlay I make has an identical URL to my original overlay

I assume I'm missing something obvious, but I can't seem to troubleshoot the problem

The overlays are different when I open them in the editor, but the URL is the same. Even when I independently save each, their changes are kept, despite the URLs being identical

and even when I create a brand new overlay with nothing in it, it keeps the same URL as my original overlay

Hello, so I am currently using StreamElements Plugin for OBS as it has a nice layout and helps makes things a lot easier to read and see at a glance as well as edit things for my stream with relative ease. When I first started to stream, I didn't have any issues and it was capturing all of my games just fine. Recently though I've been encountering the issue where when I transition from my gameplay scene to another and then back to my gameplay scene, I get a purely black screen. I'm very lost and confused as to what's going on as I've tried the most common solutions, but for whatever reason, it's still appearing as black. Eventually I did a full uninstall and reinstall of everything and then it's fine. Once I transition to another scene and then go back again, my gameplay is black and closing OBS streamelements and then re-opening doesn't fix it. Is there a setting I may have enabled or disabled that could be causing this issue? This issue wasn't present when I first started, the only thing I changed was on my starting soon screen where I checked to shutdown the source option so my timer would restart on it's own instead of just counting down, even when I'm not on the screen. I need some extra help in this matter as I've not found any other solutions.

Quick edit to this, so I've managed to figure out and get it working for Rocket League, but it isn't working for minecraft apparently. What's also really weird is that when I go to update the stream so I'm streaming under the Rocket League category, it allows me to delete all characters except for 1 and then it resets itself with the full name of whatever I had in there before. I honestly have no idea what's going on with my SE.Live software right now as it seems to be having quite a few errors going on right now.

Something I want to know is how can you set up the stream chat proper since I can't see messages load up on the chatbox and I have tried doing so when it was going live

I suggest you try uninstalling se.live and see if this keeps happening with regular obs, just for troubleshooting purposes

Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

Speed tests usually cannot help solve this problem and its best to use this guide: https://obsproject.com/wiki/Dropped-Frames-and-General-Connection-Issues

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

You'll need to uninstall OBS and SE.Live to fix this error

Download the OBS installer from their website: https://obsproject.com
Download the SE.Live installer: https://streamelements.com/selive

Install OBS without letting it run after completion.
Install SE.Live and run after finishing (No need to check the OBS option).
Disconnect and reconnect your account in OBS Settings > Stream.
