Hello ive been using the stream elements chatbot and up until recently its been working, the one thing that i did that messed it up was i changed my twitch display name and i checked the streamelements dashboard and my twitch is still connected even after i changed names, ive disconnected my twitch and reset the bot mutiple times and i still cannot get it to work

Hello, is there any way to completely disable this setting?

After a bit of googling and searching, it seems like this setting it the one that is causing certain "Provided to YouTube by [music label]" videos to return an internal server error and completely destroy the media request experience.

There is no way to clear the field or revert it back to what it was.
To add on, the original intention of this location setting is to "ensure media requests are playable in your current country". However, all videos with error can be played normally in my country in native YouTube web page or another embed. Even if it was because the video is unavailable in my country, it should display and return a more appropriate message than "internal server error"

odds are you have too many browser sources loaded and you've eaten all your ram.

So I'm mostly new to streaming, only had a couple decent test streams on Streamlabs on my YT but it couldn't pick up my mic (regular in game audio works fine tho) Dropped trying to use them as the news broke out. I haven't been able to get OBS up and running properly after the last couple weeks, I'm also a Mac user and finding tutorials on YT has been useless since everyone uses radically different setups or runs into steps/menus I don't have, most of them seem to be outdated. I downloaded SE since I was told it was a helpful plug in for OBS and not even sure if it worked or how to find it. I really need to find someone familiar with OBS Live/Stream Elements on Mac to help me just set things up, all I plan to do is casually stream stuff like my Switch/PS4 and play Steam games directly from my Mac (and desktop stuff too). Also got Loopback and Audio Hijack

If you are not hearing your alerts and/or Media Request, you are most likely using the Control Audio via OBS option in your browser source properties.
To make sure you hear the alerts and the stream also hears them, follow along the screenshot bellow.

Thanks! For our overlays, you can combine the widgets to one overlay. Basically, you want less browsers open, so if you have an overlay for alerts and one for your background, putting them in one overlay saves resources

Hey! My last few streams I have disconnected after a few hours, its usually on my brb scene. It not my internet, Its pretty decent. Its not the PC as far as I'm aware as its fairly decent. my CPU is usually no higher than 10-12% so I'm not sure what the issue is. 2. In the Target field, add the following to the very end: --remote-debugging-port=40404 (don't forget to add a space before the current path)

OBS live is producing audio from ads, specifically from realtor.com on my stream literally once every minute or 2. What do I do to disable these audio clip ads? I haven't tried anything so far, but I did post on streamelements forums, and they told me to come here, after a few months.

are you watching your stream in the background? OBS only captures audio from devices you specify, so if you're watching something on another screen, most likely that is what you are hearing and not "ads" inside OBS. OBS doesn't have ads, nor does the SE Plug-in.

Not really sure if I should post here, kind of confused where to begin. I noticed this issue with Streamlabs recently when trying to stream Myth of Empires. I didn't think too much as I was swapping to StreamElements. I tried streaming Cooking Simulator and had the issue as well. Here's the situation: I open the game in question and can play fine. I open the software, currently OBS Studio. I play fine. I hit go live and within 20 seconds my wifi disconnects, the usb connection actually drops. I can stream certain games fine (Skyrim for one). I'm trying to find someway to troubleshoot the issue. My PC has 64gb of RAM, 3080rtx, Ryzen 5 2600x. I have no connection issues ever, no matter what I'm doing, how many programs are open, until I hit "go live". The one time Cooking Sim didn't drop my connection I was at 71% frame loss, but no buffering (audio was fine on stream).

I tried replacing both the USB adapter, and adding an actual USB card to the pc. Is there some setting perhaps that overloads the connection, too much bandwidth used by trying to stream these games? I'm just kind of stuck as where to begin looking

i want to say your biggest problem is the fact you are using wifi to try to stream in general. it's not a good idea as there are factors that can make for an unstable connection and stream, as for software wise obs studio shouldn't be the issue but it's possible that with all your trying to attempt with multiplayer and streaming over a wifi connection can be the core issue and that's why single player games like skyrim are less of a hassle but still problematic.

Yeah I'd love a hard wired connection, but I'm in a rural area and only have a hotspot. I could hardwire it through the hotspot's ethernet port if I had to. Cooking Sim does the same thing and is single player. It's just these two games at the moment, I can always not stream them. 7d2d for example works great. No dropped frames, can do 1080p, though I usually do 720. I set Skyrim to the highest settings graphics wise, it ran just as pretty (though I do realize it's a decade old game).

Hi trying to set up for streaming on my Macbook Pro laptop. I’m new to both. Currently I have setup with the help from a friend . I have my first Screen setup, however my chat and the activity views have taken over my stream page covering the video portion . Can someone please help me with this?

Also since I’m going to stream from my Macbook Pro Im using a c docking station to run my 2 cameras through. Will this cause a problem? I'm not using the stream to game. I'm using it to stream while I'm making my leather bags.

In addition to the above, there is a pop up window that ask me if I want to check automatically or don’t check . No matter which tab I check, the box still appears . There is not a close tab either. I have closed the windows and shut down the computer , however it still appears. How do I get rid of it?

If you are not hearing your alerts and/or Media Request, you are most likely using the Control Audio via OBS option in your browser source properties.
To make sure you hear the alerts and the stream also hears them, follow along the screenshot bellow.

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.

Move them farther apart on the motherboard. Typically USB ports share data paths to the cpu. If one device (e.g. capture card) is using more bandwidth as it’s intended to, it reduces the ability for the webcam to function especially if both devices are bus powered. Moving them farther apart should allow both devices to be recognized.

hey, i have an issue with the Stream Elements Part of OBS Live.
I just want to stream Rainbow Six Siege and for like 10 minutes everything worked fine. Then the Chat Window, the Alert window and one minute later the browser sources inside my scene went black.
After not doing anything else, than just continue playing and ignoring this suddenly OBS crashes.
After i tried again to get it working it also crashed my the game.
3 tries, 3 crashes so far.

Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

In your sound setting you likely have two Outputs for audio. Your Speakers, and your Headphones.

What you may need to do is use a Virtual Audio Cable to create a fake 3rd Output for you to use.

Search "add spotify to obs as a seperate source" or something similar on YT

You'll find some helpful tutorials.

BetterTTV is basically an extension which you can grab from the google extensions page, adds new emotes also makes it possible to make your own emotes 🙂

yeh plug your headset into your pc which is running obs

use your pc as a sound relaying system, thats why i said stream sound from your xbox to your pc then use your headset to stream sound to your ears

wireless headphones should do the trick

Is there a way to hear the game sound in the headset, and output the usb mic into game chat? and for my voice to be heard in obs? PS I can hear game chat/party chat audio in obs just not my voice the way I currently have it. But my party can hear my voice (edited)

if it doesn't drop frames while having a youtube video playing in the background it might be that your pc will struggle while having a game open at the same time as obs is running

@proven hemlock I figured it out, it was the game that I was trying to play that caused it, I loaded up a youtube video and it worked fine, I also tired a different game and that worked fine. my pc cant handle the game I was trying to stream
