you may just be able to create a new browser source for your alerts. you'll just need to copy the URL from the alerts overlay on the StreamElements website again and put it into the new source.

hi friends, not sure if this should be here or in #helpdesk-twitch, but i'm struggling with my alertbox. everything LOOKS fine in streamelements, and the previews are sending to OBS, but in the bottom right corner when i test an alert it says, "emulation sent, but alerts are muted," but i have no idea where alerts are muted. anyone know where i might need to look for that setting? the only change i've made to my alerts recently has just been changing the URL in my browser source from one for streamlabs to the one for streamelements, so there's no reason anything should have been muted.🤔

Hi, i have installed obs.live already a year or more, never had this problem before. Right now when i am using Media Request window and go in to settings and i change something, it doesnt save it. Even with log out, restarting obs, changing version to default (or stable or beta) and also refreshing the actual window doesnt help.

Found the Bug, right now in the latest version of obs.live you cant save changes in the Media Request window in obs, you can only change settings and save them on the website of StreamElements!!!!

What is the latest OBS Version for MAC?Hello, Please help. I have installed OBS 27.0.1 on Mac. Works fine! But since a few days I have the problem that the Streamelements BOT does not work when I open OBS. I first start the Twitch dashboard and enter commands here in the chat, the BOT works fine. But as soon as I open OBS the BOT does not work anymore. It does not respond to any commands. The chat history is displayed in Twitch and OBS chat. If I then close everything again, deactivate the BOT in Streamelements and reconnect, the bot in Twitch Chart works again but only until I start OBS again. Do you have any advice for me? Go to the place in settings to uninstall programs and then choose OBS.Live then OBS Studio. When doing Studio don't check the option to delete settings.

Reinstall obs from here https://obsproject.com then grab the OBS.Live installer. Do not run OBS until you reinstall OBS.Live.

I'm trying to get something set up where someone can do a !"specific-command" in my chat that will throw up an animated gif and play a sound. Example, someone types !barrelroll and it plays a barrelroll mp3 clip and displays an animated gif from the old starfox game in the alert box.

yes same problemj also with the colleague the same, save button no reaction. Think times since it is the same with the colleague that it is a bug. Before the last SE update, the SAVE button still worked, but now you can not save even after logging out and logging in again. Way out is via the SE Dashboard page

Hey all, I hope this is the right place to post this. I'm having what hopefully will be a very simple problem. I've just switched over from SLOBS and wanted to know why my alerts are not centered.

In the background on the StreamElements editor, everything is centered and fine, however if I emulate the follow through OBS, it's off center. I'm sure it's a simple issue, but for the life of me i'm having a hard time figuring it out.

Oops, deleted my main overlay. I wish there was like a recycle bin for overlays in case you make the mistake I just made. What's odd is even though the overlay was deleted, the link for the browser source from the overlay still works in OBS. I still have my alerts and what not. I just cant make anymore edits on the stream elements side and would have to recreate the overlay all over again 😬 How long does that link to the source persist while I scramble to tediously recreate the deleted overlay?

I have been working with multiple different programs to stream and I am trying to condense them all into 1. I have noticed in the Widgets menu there is a labels sub menu with the recent follower, subscriber, cheerer, ect. is their a way I can print these to a txt file to load into my OBS overlay? I have a pre-set up bar that sits at the bottom of my stream the I used StreamLabels to run before but as stated I want to try and limit the amount of programs I have running at once

Hello, Im having issues with frame rate drop and CPU/disk consumption of a program called obs-browser-page.exe. theres 21 instances rn opened but iI have no idea where they come from

Those instances are the same throughout the scenes. The amount I had before clicking "help issues" was 14, which again, I don't have in my scenes so I don't know where these are coming from

My frame rate drop and CPU/ disk overload started after the last update both the socket and obs did
I also get a message in the left corner of the window of OBS, telling me about the "overload and decrease video settings"

I'm having a weird issue trying to set up my custom bot name. I have the alt account and everything set up, and have completed the 3 steps you need to have the feature. When I click the "connect custom bot account" button, it takes me to the login screen, where i log in and all that, but once I do it just...closes, and doesn't work. I can't send a test message or anything and if i do a command then its just normal StreamElements bot.

Hello. I've recently made the jump from that other website to SE and am having a problem with something. I can change the name of the bot alright and it works with the custom name as long as obs is open, but when I close obs the bot reverts back to Streamelements and loses the custom name. Is this normal? Do I really have to activate it each night I stream?

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card, PS4 remote play or Xbox companion app and a PC with OBS in order to have overlays over your console gameplay.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

I believe you're hitting a limitation that effects OBS naturally in the fact there's a "minimum" size for the canvas.

"Sooo... somehow my alerts keep getting stuck. In the overlay editor it seems to work perfectly fine, but in OBS it seems to freeze after a second and unfreezes a second prior to the end of the animation duration. "

Having some issues right now moving objects on an overlay I'm customizing. I've made sure the widget (Name bar/text) is unlocked but the website continues to think the source is locked and will not let me move it. Refreshing the page doesn't help either.

So….bad news…..your monitor is not a standard resolution ratio. It’s an older monitor isn’t it

It won’t fit correctly until your monitor is 1920x1080 or a variation of 16:9 ratio display

Yes. You can build an overlay in the editor, just know it won’t fit perfectly but you should be able to work around that and space things accordingly so they fit in obs

Is it possible to have this widget setup for something other than Subscribers on the overlay? This is out of curiosity. I'm fine with it being on there but I don't have things set up with Twitch to allow subscribers yet.

To add your overlays to OBS, add a new browser source in your scene. Paste your overlay URL in the browser source properties, set the dimensions to 1920x1080 (unless you changed them on the website) and check Shutdown source when not visible. https://youtu.be/KDvLynUqXI4

Question, I've been trying to get my OBS.live chat dock to work the past few days and cant seem to get it working. It connects to chat but nothing shows up in the chat and can't send any chats from it. Any ideas? I've relogged into twitch through the plug in and closed out of the dock and re-enabled it, and also reloaded the widget.

So, even with the hardware acceleration turned off, it was still having some issues. Not entirely sure, but I did a revamp on my overlays last night and now there is some issues with the overlay causing a massive amount of lag when alerts go off.

This was also after an OBS restart as well as a full computer restart. Game I was playing hasn't had any issues causing lag either, so just scratching my head a lot lol

That's fair. Also I've noticed a slight issue with the overlay not showing the alertbox but then playing the sound from the alert. Any reason for that? Also, sorry for all the questions, just been noticing this after the past few days or so and it's something I figure would be easiest to try fixing while I'm not in the middle of a stream

Yeah, even with it disabled, trying to replay some of the alerts while offline, it's still having issues

Well, the primary issue that keeps happening is that when the alert goes off, I hear the audio, but the alert box in the overlay browser source doesn't show up and then I start getting a massive lag spike until the alert is finished

From what my chat told me, the sound would play, but they either saw the ghosted version of the alertbox text showing or they saw nothing but could hear the sound

So, on both ends I would assume would be the answer for this

Kind of. I played one sub alert test and it worked in both my obs and in the editor, but when I clicked to play a follower alert afterwards, it took a moment for it to work

Tried again just now and it pushed the text from the alert to OBS but the actual image for the alert didn't show up

Hey guys, I've been streaming to Youtube with OBS, but I was wanting to stream to Twitch some days also, but OBs doesn't want to let me stream anywhere else but youtube. How do I switch platforms? I've signed out of YT, signed into Twitch, and "start Streaming" still forces me to stream on youtube.

Gotta remember that everything is data and while internet connections may be fast, you still have to load all that data upon alert trigger

OBS in general is always crashing on my computer. And I have a 2000 dollar laptop so it's not my computer.
