more information is needed, but in general that would be related to connectivity issues. you'll need to make sure your stream is optimized for your connection capabilities

Hello, I am having an issue where the docks on my obs are very zoomed in. When I put the display on another monitor it does look normal, however when I display it on my laptop, the docks are very zoomed in and I can't see my activity feed or my chat. Any solutions?

@subtle cedar This is generally Windows resizing based on what monitor it opened on. If you open it with the laptop as the display, it usually loads up normal

I did a new windows installation and downloaded the obs and logged in with same account as before but i didn't find any of my overlays nothing was there before sometimes ago i did a new windows installation too and when i logged in to my obs account everything was there? why is that and am i missing something or what? Same as ^, I have access to my scenes and I'm still able to go live, except all of my panels and streamelement overlays are gone now and I cannot access any streamelement features through OBS. When I launch OBS it asks me to download the newest update, which I do, but then when it launches again it gives me the same message. So it's stuck in a loop of updating but not actually allowing access to any streamelement features. Meaning my Activity Feed, Stream Information, Live chat, and Media share are all gone now and there is no option to enable them in the docks tab.

If you don't have a backup there, then you need to use your old profile file for OBS, but if you haven't saved that, then you will need to setup your scenes from 0 agai

Hey Guys, i´ve a big problem with streamelements obs plugin. I´ve got a new Gaming PC an installed obs and the streamelements plugin which i used on my old pc. Yesterday i streamed about 3 hours, everything was fine.
Today i want to do some tuning for my record and streaming settings. After a few tests i´ve the problem that everytime i closed the game and the stream, my whole pc freezes. I can still move my cursor, but the program cannot be opened, nor can I shut down the PC or close applications via the Task Manager.
does anyone know this problem?

There in an import option in the OBS.Live that you can use to transfer data from Streamlabs OBS.

Hi! I've been getting some issues for the last 30 minutes with OBS.Live:
When I launched it earlier to check some things on my overlays, I was prompted for an update, I've been running on OBS version 21 due to some issues I previously had with game captures not working, but decided to try the new update, but when the update finished (updated through the OBS.Live plugin) and I relaunched OBS all my OBS>Live docks were gone and it just prompted me again for the same update I just did. This has been looping for about 30 minutes and I can't figure out why.
If I do need to un- & reinstall OBS, is there a way to keep all my scenes and just go back to version 21?

Hey, I'm trying to stream on both YouTube and Twitch (not at the same time) but OBS.Live doesn't seem to respect the OBS Profile change option. It works fine for YouTube and shows me chat etc. but when I switch back to my Twitch OBS profile and try to go live OBS.Live asks me for YouTube live video details... Any way to make OBS.Live respect OBS profile switching?

It is when you’re switching platforms. It resets the plug-in to whatever platform you login with

So swapping the profile switches the stream key, swapping the scene collection switches overlays (if you did that), and the above logout/login switches streamelements activity feed thing

Yeah, the first two is what I'm doing, it just seems a bit tedious to have to re-authenticate the plugin and skip all the initial setup stuff I don't want (PayPal setup etc.) every time I want to stream to a different platform. Thanks for your help though.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

  1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
  2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
  3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
  4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
  5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
  6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

I select "Start Streaming" and I get "Stream Start Requested" and a box pops up blank. Stream doesn't start. The box is labeled "Start Streaming to YouTube".
Thoughts?
The box is suppose to be where you insert your title, description, etc.

Here’s a good question.. is there a way to get video to be the same size as the red box so I can adjust the size and not have to use the overlay editor to resize? If I drag any of the corners it will only adjust the size as a whole. I’m using media request with stream elements.

ok. So i backed up my profile and scenes to the cloud, uninstalled OBS live, reinstalled, restored my profile and scenes from the cloud, see my self for a second, and I'm right back where I started. All I see is the SE add page, UGH!

  4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
  5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
  6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

all i can say to that is anything fast paced (fps or any quick movement games/visuals) will be pixelated.

things like drawing/art/slower paced games will look better

you could try the output to 720p so it helps, but not much apart from that

Hi im having some help with my obs.live, it seems like the stream elements part aren't showing up. I can display anything i want but the option to connect to twitch (although i am connected) is not appearing. Ive also encountered that the stream elements option at the top is gone. its been awhile since I used it. I hopped on and i tried to ignore the updates as i was just trying to a quick stream but stuff wasnt working right so i just tried to update it, but every time i agreed it would go through the process and say it had to update again afterwards (this continued for about 7 attempts) so I then tried to ignore the update but now I dont have access to my overlays and my twitch chate nor notifications. please help

The preview is always the preview. Program is always what is being sent. It’s from live TV such as news and sports. So you can call up a second camera or graphics and prepare them, then hit the switch and the preview (not live) goes to program (live)

not an obslive issue but an issue with the streamelements site itself (no help channel for that so i figured this was the next best thing) but on firefox the site is just blank white page no matter what i try. however on chrome it works just fine.

Our Dashboard and Overlay Editor are Chromium Optimized. We strongly recommend using Chrome. Opera GX and the new Microsoft Edge Chromium might work closest to Chrome as its also Chromium built. Firefox also works, but some things might look a bit different or not work. We do not recommend using Internet Explorer with our Dashboard as it does not support functions.
If the website doesn’t work on chrome, be sure none of your plugins is blocking our website or clear your cookies. You can try if the website works in an incognito tab.

  9. Remove the additional flag in step 2 from your shortcut properties.

Hello, I'm having an issue with the Overlay creator. I added some widgets for followers, subs, chat, etc., and the font size is not changing, so it looks super small. I tried using both Dynamic and set font size, but neither of them do anything when I test it out with the link or put it in OBS (they change in the studio though)
Edit: Dynamic font size is causing this, anyone know how to fix it?

Hey, I cannot see the stream elements tab at the top of OBS therefore I cannot log in. I have tried updating the software and it keeps downloading and telling me to install the same update again. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled and have the same issues. Any ideas?

If you are not seeing likes/shares on your current stream or page, that might be due to how the privacy settings of the person liking/sharing your stream are set.
If they are set to private we won't be able to see the events.
Specifically for shares, if they share in private groups, we won't be able to see the event.

hi Im looking to see if anyone has had this similar situation and knows of a fix. My OBS runs great. However the second I open a game like Valorant, it instantly starts to freeze and lag my obs. The game is fine but my obs is just slow. The only fix I have found is closing obs and re opening it and then its fine. Is there a setting I can change that could somehow fix this?

Has anyone else been experiencing daily stream crashes? I'll be streaming for like 30 minutes and suddenly my stream will disconnect, chat will stop loading, overlays (chat) will freeze, and after a few moments it'll return. It only ever happens once during my stream, but it happens EVERY SINGLE DAY. It's been plaguing me for weeks and I'm trying to figure out what could be causing it. MAYBE an OBS.live update messed something up. Or maybe it's strictly a Twitch issue. Just trying to see if anyone else is dealing with this.

Hey there! Finally decided to click that update button and get obs studio 27.0.1 and now im stuck in a continuous loop where as soon as it finishes downloading it acts as if It never happened and asks me to install again. And right now every time I open my SEOBS it has no SE intergration whatsoever. Looks like normal OBS and all my stuff is switched around. Any ideas?

It will ask me to update to obs studio 27.0.1 then starts to do a SE update where it tries to install 21.8.5.765. Once finished I open up OBS and it asks me to repeat the same process.

I would recommend to export both the scene collection and profile from OBS before uninstalling.
During the uninstall you can select what should happen (delete old data or not) - do not delete it.

  5. Click on StreamElements - Activity feed
  6. Navigate to the Console tab

  8. Try setting the custom bot name
  9. Remove the additional flag in step 2 from your shortcut properties.

I updated my streamelements alertbox and social rotation overlays, but after updating the URL to the correct overlays, the social rotation overlays no longer shows up on the scenes and the alertbox never updated. I'm an xbox series x streamer who used a elgato HD60s to PC through OBS to stream to twitch.
Yesterday for no reason my game chat stopped broadcasting to stream, the game play can still be heard on stream so my viewers couldn't hear other team mates/hot mics.
If I go into a party chat they can hear them.
Every stream before that it's been fine, has a setting changed on warzone/xbox/elgato that could be stopping this?
When I disconnect my headset it starts to pick up the game chat again

  1. Right-click on your OBS desktop shortcut and open the Properties
  2. In the Target field, add the following to the very end: --remote-debugging-port=40404 (don't forget to add a space before the current path)
  3. Open OBS (or restart if it was open)
  4. Open your web browser and type in: localhost:40404
  5. Click on StreamElements - Activity feed
  6. Navigate to the Console tab
  7. Type the following into the console and hit enter: store.customBot.removeCustomBotIntegration()
  8. Try setting the custom bot name
  9. Remove the additional flag in step 2 from your shortcut properties.

@nova scaffold I have no idea where to get the shortcut, I followed a link to it I found on youtube as my obs doesn't have that from what I could see so there is no properties bit as I am viewing it via google if that makes sense

Hi there! I took a week break from streaming, and when I came back, after plugging in the streamkey from Facebook and hitting "Start Streaming", then "Go live", my OBS doesn't go live, and the mouse starts spinning. The screen freezes and it says (not responding). I can still hear my sound from the game. How do I fix this?

Hi all! I don't want to spam I just didn't want to get lost in the sea of text lol.

I updated my streamelements alertbox and social rotation overlays, but after updating the URL to the correct overlays, the social rotation overlays no longer shows up on the scenes and the alertbox never updated. I did this around 9pm EST last night and figured it just took a bit to update but it still hasn't worked properly

i decided to try an figure out this custom bot issue once and for all. i can do step 1, 2, 3, 4 (can't be reached) 5, 6??? where is this console tab? in the browser? if so i type it in and get an Uncaught Reference Error message. store is not defined

Hello. I have a sub goal that I have on one of my overlays. My question with the sub goal is how does it know when to update? Earlier today, my stream showed 164, my YT dashboard showed 166 and my streamelements showed 167. I just want to know that my sub goal counter is going to match my YT subs as it went for 3 hours of my 6 hour stream being behind the YT dashboard. Any settings I need to adjust? Thoughts?

I logged into OBS today to start a stream and I do not have any sound coming from the game that I am wanting to stream. Is there a fix for that?

The chat dock isn't connecting to Twitch chat. I've tried closing the dock and reopening it. I've tried closing OBS and reopening it. Neither has worked. Any suggestions for fixing this? I know @neon meteor asked about it earlier and then stated they had fised the issue but didn't say how.

Hey there! I’m having difficulty getting display capture to work using obs.live . Where I you’d usually go to select a monitor, it’s blank and say “no properties available”

I tried it in regular OBS, and had no issue. Anyone have any idea how to fix this?
