Hey whats up.
So a while ago, when the Follow bots were everywhere on Twitch, i got botted too.
Twitch already removed them from my profile, but on Streamelements it still shows 550 more than it should.
This is especially annoying, if you have a follower goal.
I haven't found an option to reset the follow count or something similar.
Does anybody know a solution for this?

Trying to get Streamelements Overlays to work right now, when opening link in Browser Source in OBS or in browser it doesnt show anything when in fact in the editor it does. I managed to make my OBS see the browser source as an active sound outputting page but yet I cant get it to work.

Our Dashboard and Overlay Editor are Chromium Optimized. We strongly recommend using Chrome. Opera GX and the new Microsoft Edge Chromium might work closest to Chrome as its also Chromium built. Firefox also works, but some things might look a bit different or not work. We do not recommend using Internet Explorer with our Dashboard as it does not support functions.
If the website doesn’t work on chrome, be sure none of your plugins is blocking our website or clear your cookies. You can try if the website works in an incognito tab.

How to separate Media Request (MR) audio in OBS:

MUTE MR FOR YOURSELF, STREAM CAN HEAR

1. Make a new overlay in the editor, ONLY add the Media Request widget.
2. Add a new browser source in OBS, add the URL and set the dimensions correctly.
3. Tick the box for Control audio via OBS
4. Go to Edit > Advanced Audio, set your MR overlay to Monitor Off. Note: This will play through the Desktop Audio, if you mute your desktop audio, it will mute the MR.

CONTROL AUDIO SEPARATELY FROM YOU AND STREAM

1. For this you will need a VAC (use command !vac).
2. Run your MR either in Chrome or in Ground Control (use command !gc). Note: Do NOT click on SHOW ON STREAM.
3. Set Chrome or GC in the VAC as an audio input and output.
4. Add the audio output from VAC as an audio input in OBS. Note: This will not be able to show the video in OBS.

If you are not hearing your alerts and/or Media Request, you are most likely using the Control Audio via OBS option in your browser source properties.
To make sure you hear the alerts and the stream also hears them, follow along the screenshot bellow.

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

I have just noticed my chat bot has gone back to being the default streamelements name. I have gone through all the steps as before to change the name to my bot account but it will not even add it even after authorizing it. Changing to my own account does not work either as the bot will not do anything even with sending a test message

2. In the Target field, add the following to the very end: --remote-debugging-port=40404 (don't forget to add a space before the current path)
3. Open OBS (or restart if it was open)

5. Click on StreamElements - Activity feed
6. Navigate to the Console tab
7. Type the following into the console and hit enter: store.customBot.removeCustomBotIntegration()
8. Try setting the custom bot name
9. Remove the additional flag in step 2 from your shortcut properties.

In the official OBS channel they mentioned the problem could be that im using obs.live which uses "older browser source modules"

Hello! I was in OBS Live and trying to fix my set up with stream elements. My OBS Live was already fully up to date. I went to the Stream Elements tab at the top and clicked something thinking it would help with putting a good layout for Stream Elements on my OBS Live. The options were 'Beta' or 'Stable' I picked Stable and now my OBS Live is constantly asking me to update no matter how many time I update and the 'Stream Elements' tab got rid of the options that were there prior. I'm not sure what to do now. 😦

Ran a test. I used the link of the browser source from one of my working overlays in SE and it also did not work on my new scene setup in OBS.

I ended up figuring mine out. Even though I had hit "fit to screen," in the properties it didn't reset the proportions(even though my bounding box filled the whole screen). Might be a bug, but I readjusted it to 1080x1920 within the properties of the browser source and restarted OBS and it magically worked. I think my other ones I only did fit to screen and it worked but this one didn't. Maybe this is helpful to you.

If you are not hearing your alerts and/or Media Request, you are most likely using the Control Audio via OBS option in your browser source properties.
To make sure you hear the alerts and the stream also hears them, follow along the screenshot bellow.

My issue: I implemented a Browser Scene in OBS with my Stream Elements Dashboard but I just hear the sound of it the alert is not shown in OBS.

Background

• I created a dashboard (1920 x 1080) in Stream Elements with an alert box (800 x 600) and displayed it as the first Scene in my scene collection. Also checked the option "shutdown source when not visible"
• I toggled Browser Source Hardware Acceleration on and off (also with restart of OBS) - no change

@dapper igloo and I found out, that if I am simulating the alert in OBS within the "Open in Stream Elements Overlay Editor" it works!!! 🎉  If I am trying to simulate it via regular Stream Elements browser page it doesn't show in OBS. To summarize it:

• I created a dashboard (1920 x 1080) in Stream Elements with an alert box (800 x 600) and displayed it as the first Scene in my scene collection. Also checked the option "shutdown source when not visible"
• I toggled Browser Source Hardware Acceleration off (also with restart of OBS) - Simulation via Stream Elements Overlay Editor within OBS works - in Browser starting from Stream Elements Dashboard not.
• For the simulation in Stream Elements: Don't forget to check the mark "Preview LIVE on stream" - otherwise you won't see the alert in OBS!

I just emulated this from the overlay editor and it worked. Does this not work for you?

It does work in the overlay editor in OBS - but it doesn't work when I use chrome --> streamelements.com --> go into my dashboards and then edit my alert dashboard. There I can simulate the alert but nothings happen in obs.
When I simulate the alert in the overlay editor via OBS I can see the alert in: OBS, OBS Overlay Editor AND Chrome in streamelements Dashboard editor

Make sure obs is running as an administrator. If it isn’t running as administrator it cannot capture games the way it needs to. The best way to do that is to right-click your shortcut to obs.live and select run as administrator

go to the dashboard website, under streaming tools go to my overlays, edit your overlay, then click the add button in the bottom left, select stream tools, and select "your streams chat"

this happens when i play games like apex and such, if its a one stream pc, it may be because the game is so CPU and/or GPU intensive, obslive doesnt get much to use to render. You can try to turn off windows Game Mode and Windows Xbox Game Bar, both of those things prioritize games to use gpu and cpu power leaving obslive with little to nothing, so with the disabled, obslive will have more to use. You can just google how to disable them

Is there a way to make store redemption messages show up on stream? I don't mean the optional box that you can check that says "allow use to add a text message to the alert" because that does let you tell the viewer what to type. I'm wondering if we can display what they type for the additional requirements. For Ex. I have a store item that lets my viewers change the color of my room, and when they redeem it, my additional requirement is they must type a color in so they don't redeem it for nothing. I would like the color they type in to show up on screen with the standard alert. Is this possible? Thank you!!

I believe you would need to create a redemption for each color. You also need to add the loyalty store redemption widget to your overlay in the editor. That will allow you to see when someone redeems something. I’m not entirely sure how customizable the widget is as I don’t have anything tied to my loyalty store

Hey, I had to uninstall obs.live because I switched to the beta track and it stopped working (just prompted me for an update over and over) and when I ran the uninstalller, it downloaded OBS... I mentioned this when I filled out the "why are you leaving" form but figured I should say it here too.

Hey there. I have this issue, where VLC Video Source is looping the same video, even though there is a whole playlist added:

It is just looping the first video in the list. When I select Shuffle, it's looping whichever video it selects to play as first at random.

When I manually select "Next Video" here it still plays the same one

BAH just fixed it... It cannot accept the shortlink. It will play the video, but it won't play the next one, if the next one is a shortlink... it has to be full URL!

Hi! Whenever I update OBS, my OBS.Live says it requires an update upon startup. When I update it, it reverts my OBS back to 26.1.1, and if I update OBS to the newest version, OBS.Live asks to update again (to the version I just installed), and reverts OBS back to 26.1.1. This continues in an infinite loop of OBS and OBS.Live reverting each other to older versions if I try to update. Is this the expected behavior? Have you guys just not added support for 27.x.x yet? That's a Twitch thing. Depends how many people are streaming at any given time and how much bandwidth they have available. The bigger your channel, the bigger the chance is that you'll get quality options.

in the activity you mostly see when your follower is a bot - so why not adding a 'remove' button there to reduce the follower count (so you do not have to later) and drop that name from the widget data?

well I went through that myself, when uninstalling just make sure to not select 'remove all user data'

once you install the stable version your setup should look exactly the same as before

To fix it I uninstalled obs live! Not obs streamelements and just reinstalled obs live from their website

Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card, PS4 remote play or Xbox companion app and a PC with OBS in order to have overlays over your console gameplay.

i realize after the obs live update today, the cpu usage is higher during transitions and when opening obs live than it was before the update.
Not sure if this is a known thing or not.
And no I haven't changed anything about my set up, it is all the same.

How do I get the SE overlay to show the right number of followers and subscribers on the follower and subscriber goals?

just went through them all and yes they are set to shutdown when inactive. I usually keep my chat browser source unchecked so the chat is always there, but I checked it.
I'm even going through my scenes with everything invisible.
It just seems that the time it would take the cpu usage to come back down to normal after a transition or when opening the program for the first time seems to take a tad bit longer than it used to come back to normal percentage.
It may just be me, but it caught me by surprise after the update

It's showing 412 followers when I have 293 and 119 subs when I have 17.

It'd be nice, but that's not my real numbers and I can't tell how to make it show the real numbers

I've tried reloading the overlay, resetting the session, pausing and unpausing alerts, resetting the session from the activity feed

I've also tried editing the overlay from the website and from the built in OBS live editor

but it's the wrong numbers still

These are not the right numbers and I don't know how to fix it so that they are the right numbers

It should just get it automatically from my twitch, right?

What you are seeing on the main dashboard page is a monthly count of your follower and sub gain

not your actual total/current number - there are different widgets for it

I understand what you are saying, and register my disappointment with the fact that a simple data grab is not a default action for the widget.

My understanding is that adding a follower goal widget would populate the bar with the current number of followers. You know, like streamlabs does.

But if you want a dynamic goal widget - use the "Totals" goal and just place a "Follower goal: {amount}/1000" in the text field of the widget

The totals goal isn't a bar, but does have a dynamic update from the actual follower number. So it is possible to have a dynamic number read from the twitch statistics. The one that IS a bar isn't dynamic and doesn't read from the twitch statistics. And if I want to combine these two things, I have to do it myself or find someone else who has.

hello can someone help me pls? If someone give me a follow there comes the “follow picture” but no sound and when i look in streamelemts it says alert muted.
What I have found out so far is that supposedly the alert sounds seem to be muted even though they are not as you can see. If I then click the loudspeaker symbol to really mute the sounds and then unmute them again, I can hear the sounds on the Streamelements page. Unfortunately, it doesn't bring any improvement because if you save after mute and unmute the allerts, close the window, and then reopen, the sounds are supposedly muted again.

If you are not hearing your alerts and/or Media Request, you are most likely using the Control Audio via OBS option in your browser source properties.
To make sure you hear the alerts and the stream also hears them, follow along the screenshot bellow.

Typically OBS uses the Windows default output for overlay sounds
