you can create an overlay that only has a chat widget in it and after you create the browser source for it, make sure it is stacked above your game source in OBS @cinder ridge

it's not related to NDI (which is also a plugin)

if you can't install NDI, I suggest either reaching out to OBS themselves to check why, or NDI if the issue seems to be related to the plugin
but OBS.Live should not be affecting installations of other plugins on OBS Studio

Tools > NDI output > check the box for either main output or preview and NDI is then enabled. Once enabled you can pick up the NDI signal in another copy of obs on a different computer. If you are having issues with the plug-in I would recommend reading the instructions on the obs forums which walk you through the process

If you’re trying to send output from obs to another app like zoom, you need to have the NDI tools installed and running NDI Virtual Input which can then be selected in applications like zoom and teams

Still having issues with my stream elements dock chat (dock, not overlay chat), says it is unable to find my live stream, so it doesnt display chat messages. Ive tried re-installing SE, Ive tried logging in and out numerous times, ive tried reconnecting with new stream keys and nothing will work. It worked for the longest time until a week or so ago.

I've lost the ability to use a custom bot with obs.live - When I've tried disconnecting my streamelements bot connection entirely on twitch and now it doesnt seem to connect back at all. After I authenticate my bot it does not appear in the drop down anymore. This started prior to removing the connection on twitch.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Following up on my report of authenticating a bot within obs.live - It seems like when I click authorize which should redirect to https://api.streamelements.com the redirect never happens. The window closes and the bot is not added to the picklist. Even after logging out and logging back in, I've also removed the StreamElements - Custom Bot connection with no luck at a resolution.

Anyone have any idea on how I can get StreamElements - Custom Bot added back to my connections?

6. Navigate to the Console tab
7. Type the following into the console and hit enter: store.customBot.removeCustomBotIntegration()
8. Try setting the custom bot name
9. Remove the additional flag in step 2 from your shortcut properties.

It is not functioning correctly. I'm seeing that half of my custom commands are not working, what is really strange is now the streamelement bot shows in the chat console but not in any type of chat overlay.

So I'm testing the Media Request feature and I realized it can be played in two ways: through Stream (widget) or just by playing it through OBS dock. Now I'm just wondering, can I generate a separate Audio Source for the Media Request Dock so I can split it in the Audio Mixer?

MUTE MR FOR YOURSELF, STREAM CAN HEAR

1. Make a new overlay in the editor, ONLY add the Media Request widget.
2. Add a new browser source in OBS, add the URL and set the dimensions correctly.
3. Tick the box for Control audio via OBS
4. Go to Edit > Advanced Audio, set your MR overlay to Monitor Off. Note: This will play through the Desktop Audio, if you mute your desktop audio, it will mute the MR.

CONTROL AUDIO SEPARATELY FROM YOU AND STREAM

1. For this you will need a VAC (use command !vac).
2. Run your MR either in Chrome or in Ground Control (use command !gc). Note: Do NOT click on SHOW ON STREAM.
3. Set Chrome or GC in the VAC as an audio input and output.
4. Add the audio output from VAC as an audio input in OBS. Note: This will not be able to show the video in OBS.

Due to changes to Twitch API, we have filtered out hosts and will only show these ones on your activity feed:

• All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
• Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline

Note: If you see X channel has hosted you with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.

Had an issue today with my audio and wanted to see if maybe I just set it up wrong in OBSlive. My Mac is on the latest version of Catalina. I ran my mic through my Rodecaster and had a guest’s audio and video coming through Skype as the NDI source. Problem was that my audio didn’t go through on the stream until I added the same exact input a second time and just hid the original one. But I was seeing signal from both sources in the audio mixer. Is this something that just using iShowU will fix?

The goal is to have a remote guest join the stream with the host and guest on separate audio tracks so the audio can be repurposed for a podcast.

echo issues again... I installed StreamElements on my Predator PC, trying to duplicate my desktop setup. At first, I couldn't hear my alerts when I used my commands. Then I created overlays for them and I added them as browser sources. I could finally hear them, but the alerts echo. I can go to the StreamElements site and play them with no problems, but that means no one can use my commands without the echo happening. Any advice?

If you are not hearing your alerts and/or Media Request, you are most likely using the Control Audio via OBS option in your browser source properties.
To make sure you hear the alerts and the stream also hears them, follow along the screenshot bellow.

HI, I'm quite new to Stream elements and OBS so pls excuse my noob question...I'm trying to add a countdown timer to my starting soon screen. I created a new overlay, selected countdown timer and it pops up in the top left corner.

I make some adjustments and all is good. It shows on my OBS screen. However if I move the 300x100px timer box from the top left in stream elements into the centre, it then disappears off my OBS starting screen. Any ideas why?

Hi, I have just downloaded obs live for mac. is there any easy way to move panels around? I am getting nuts trying to fit them in because they won't resize or go where I am trying to get them too

By panels do you mean the docks? In the Windows version you can pop them out, or drag them around to lock into different sides of the screen. I've never used the mac version though.

hello! hope everyone is doing well! I am having some problems while trying to set up a custom bot name with obs live.
I am logged into my account and in the activity feed panel I go into stream settings > custom bot name > choose set custom bot name from drop down > click on connect custom bot account. all the requirements are checkmarked. the obs browser pops up and i log into my bot account, go through the verification steps, and authorize everything. THEN the browser closes and nothing occurs... the send test message button doesnt light up and theres nothing new on the drop down list.
I have tried reinstalling everything from scratch, logging out and back in, parting channel in the streamelements dashboard on my browser, tried setting up the bot on ground control program to no avail (couldnt find the button at all haha)

im also running obs live as admin and have checked firewall permissions and all just in case it was related but nope...

1. Right-click on your OBS desktop shortcut and open the Properties
2. In the Target field, add the following to the very end: --remote-debugging-port=40404 (don't forget to add a space before the current path)
3. Open OBS (or restart if it was open)
4. Open your web browser and type in: localhost:40404
5. Click on StreamElements - Activity feed
6. Navigate to the Console tab
7. Type the following into the console and hit enter: store.customBot.removeCustomBotIntegration()
8. Try setting the custom bot name
9. Remove the additional flag in step 2 from your shortcut properties.

That won't be a problem if I could drag it to monitor 2 but I can't. I can't drag the window, I can't minimize it, All I can do is close it, but not with the "close" icon in the top right corner of the screen but by RMC on an icon inn taskbar. How to change that? So this happened fairly recently ever since I installed my 3080 a month ago and still... low virtual memory.

Did some upgrades and found a trade so now I have 2x16 3600Mhz RAM and a 3090 with an i9-9900k. I JUST did a fresh windows install and i KEEP on getting this error, simply just having OBS open while playing, Im not even live at this point.

I have not touched the page file at all i still dont know what to do. any help would be wonderful

Hey! I have reset my session data so there is now no subscriber count and follower count. I have the last follower, last sub and last donation and top donor, but I find the sub count a bit difficult to adjust, because does the system now detect if a sub is lost or added to the sub count?

the main problem is that without control audio via obs sometimes my audio gives out. then when i switch to that it works for a little bit then completely stops working so i switch in between the two. sometimes both options do not work and audio is gone.

thats why they were telling me to downgrade if that was the case. it worked prior to obs 26.

Unfortunately, downgrading might not be the answer here, since you mentioned that you hear sub sounds but not follower sounds.

you can manually change that. try to first refresh your browser source (right click it in OBS > properties > scroll down > refresh cache of current page) cache and reload your overlays (from the activity feed),
if that doesn't do it, you can manually edit the labels from the activity feed > widget data > labels. make sure to save settings and reload overlay
that shouldn't cause any issues with future events (be it the same user with the same name or a different user altogether)

I think we simply have the old information in the system and it cannot be changed even though we manually edited these tips
I'm not sure if upon their next real tip under the new name the top all time tipper will be updated.
as a workaround you can enter their name and all time amount (from 'aggregates' in the activity feed) into the session data, and then change the top donator widget to be session based
and if this isn't fixed using the 'all time' option upon their next tip, you can ping me and we'll look into it with dev

I needd help with the connection between my Elgato Stream deck Software an OBS.Live because the connection Plugin is missing, I know that I have to reinstall OBS and Streamdeck but the BIG Problem is that my Streamdeck Software is bugging because one of my drives is dead an I had to reinstall it and then was a big BUG couldn´t reinstall it because of the old Version. My friend downloaded the Programm for me on his PC and send me the Files, then it worked but the PLUGIN doesn´t work.

Sorry I should’ve elaborated better we are DJs and trying to bring in other DJs i.e. channels into our channel for guest spots or guest slots… One of the issues that we are wanting to get past is when they come to our channel they can bring their overlays with them so their viewers that know their current commands in their channel Can use those same commands on our channel for their stream. That make a little bit better sense?

Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card, PS4 remote play or Xbox companion app and a PC with OBS in order to have overlays over your console gameplay.

Sometimes when I'm streaming, my mic starts to get an echo. I already muted any other potential audio inputs besides said mic. Now that I finished the stream it's back to normal, so I'm guessing it's something to do with the quality I'm running things at? What settings should I check to stop this from happening

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

1. Right-click on your OBS desktop shortcut and open the Properties
2. In the Target field, add the following to the very end: --remote-debugging-port=40404 (don't forget to add a space before the current path)
3. Open OBS (or restart if it was open)
4. Open your web browser and type in: localhost:40404
5. Click on StreamElements - Activity feed
6. Navigate to the Console tab
7. Type the following into the console and hit enter: store.customBot.removeCustomBotIntegration()
8. Try setting the custom bot name
9. Remove the additional flag in step 2 from your shortcut properties.

I just created a rotator slideshow in overlay editor and its not transferring the image over to my stream. I went through the overlay editor through a web browser instead of through stream elements and its still not working. It works in the editor but doesn't show the image in my stream preview. Monitor only means it doesn't show up in the recording or stream, only you can hear it. THen Monitor and ouput means you monitor it and it shows up in the stream/ rec

Yes because if you have your sound going to your headphones, Then you have your desktop audio set as your headphones what ever is being sent to those headphones the viewers will hear.

hello, I am having trouble streaming to YouTube! i recently added youtube to my stream elements account, i created all my dedicated youtube scenes, then I logged out from OBS.live to and connected to youtube. However, when I press on start streaming (making sure all stream keys are correct) a blank window pops from OBS.live titled "start streaming on youtube" and the OBS start streaming button says "streaming start requested" but I cannot start my stream anywhere.

Your choice. Whatever is more comfortable for you.
I think that putting everything together in a single overlay will make it easier on your CPU/GPU, but I'm not 100% sure.

looking for some help... i am using a 2 pc setup with a go xlr while using obs live. I have the go xlr setup on the gaming pc, while running two 3.5 mm cables to send audio to the stream pc and back to my headset for alerts. However obs will not detect any type of audio what so ever. You're talking about the overlay, not OBS. So this setting has nothing to do with that
