If you are not seeing likes/shares on your current stream or page, that might be due to how the privacy settings of the person liking/sharing your stream are set.
If they are set to private we won't be able to see the events.
Specifically for shares, if they share in private groups, we won't be able to see the event.

There isn't a good way to do this - you will have to manually ban them each time

Will browser source work even if I uninstall SE?
After I installed another obs on another folder, it started crashing everytime I tried to open it. Although I was able to fix it but now if I install SE, it won't let me do anything unless I am connected to net.

Not likely. If you don't have internet on your PC and you removed OBS.Live

then most likely the uninstaller didn't do its job properly

so you might have to reinstall OBS Studio completely

For an i7 without x264 - that's a bit much. Check what source is using the CPU by turning them off one by one, this is the easiest way

That's a connection problem between your PC and Twitch servers (or other platform you stream to), has nothing to do with StreamElements in that case.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

I installed OBS.Live on a different Mac. It's running a newer version of the OS than the machine I'm streaming from, but I don't think that matters for this issue. The quick version is that backup deletion works on that machine and I am able to perform backups from the original system now. Still can't delete them, but I at least have a two machine work around for now and ***we know that this is a local issue, not a Stream Elements server issue. ***My guess is a weird config issue. I may attempt to fully scrape OBS off this system and do a clean install. There's also (fairly small I would think) possibility that it's some weird interaction between OBS.Live and other plugins I did not install on the other 'puter. If I learn anything that's useful to the community I will of course drop another note. But for now it looks like whatever the issue is is local to me. Thank you very much for your assistance.

Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card, PS4 remote play or Xbox companion app and a PC with OBS in order to have overlays over your console gameplay.

was wondering how i can disable the sound notifications that stream elements has for notifications. I have my own from stream labs that im using but when ever i go live I hear another notification and I don't know where its coming from and don't know where to mute it. The only overlay im using from stream elements is the sub counter.I also have the bot active in chat. Okay, I need some hizzelp. It's not uncommon for ff14 to lag obs. But I'm getting like 20 fps on a lil razer laptop with a 2080, using the twitch studio or slabs I dont get frame drops like this. Not sure what to do, all forms of capturing seem to be super unstable.

Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

Speed tests usually cannot help solve this problem and its best to use this guide: https://obsproject.com/wiki/Dropped-Frames-and-General-Connection-Issues

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

I stream to trovo.
Basically with windowed mode my games dropping fps and with full screen its dropping stream fps.
I'm hardwired in but I use an adapter for that.

Hey guys, I have a bit of a bizarre issue occurring. I left for about four weeks to have a shoulder surgery and I've come back to my stinger transitions doing a weird brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr sound before playing the transition. I've tried changing the stream audio bitrate, changing the frame the transition starts on, and setting it to crossfade. This issue wasn't present when I left and I'm not entirely sure what's going on.

When I attempt to edit any overlays, either from the theme gallery or one that I have attempted to create, from any browser, I get "Uh oh, that overlay does not exist" and when I attempt to use the URLs in OBS.Live nothing will load, same when I attempt to preview.

This is happening in every browser on 2 PCs, a Mac, and my phone.

When I'm looking at the settings on Streamelements (the only place to my knowledge where I can modify settings for alerts and such) I can't read the complete description of a few of the boxes... not sure how to resize (another issue I ran into)... once again I am having overlay call issues, after getting all over my other overlays working, I had to make several copies to get a link that would work, now my alert box won't connect, it has to do with the auto link generator, it keeps using the same link that does not work, i keep getting invalid token authorization. I have the hardware aceelartion box checked in the advanced settings, I have also rtried to create a new alert box widget, but it keeps genreating thre same bad link

If you are not hearing your alerts and/or Media Request, you are most likely using the Control Audio via OBS option in your browser source properties.
To make sure you hear the alerts and the stream also hears them, follow along the screenshot bellow.

yes I did, to be honest I have made it before try the fix with no luck, then I started researching for the fix till reach out in this discord channel. I have overlays setup, I have tipping page configured with my paypal account, I have the link on my profile page, all of this was done about 1 month ago, but the chatbot doesnt work yet (at least sending the text message)

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Moderators have 3 levels of access - bot supervisor, editor and full control. Bot supervisors can only control the bot section, you need Editor access for them to be able to edit overlays.

Depends on the platform and how they send events. Paid subscribers on Twitch for example always have an alert, but only when the person announces it in chat.

Prime Gaming (new and resub) and paid subscriptions (resub only) must be shared in chat manually by the person subscribing in order for the subscription information to be sent to StreamElements. For Prime Gaming, the user needs to have sharing enabled on https://www.twitch.tv/settings/prime. So I am having issues where it says there is an OBS.live update when I try to update it tells me that I need to close all these programs out which includes the OBS.live installer and windows explorer.exe so of course it does nothing. Bitrate in OBS indicates a bad connection to the server that you stream to. OBS has nothing to do with it, same goes for us - this is in 99% of the cases a network issue.

Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

6. Navigate to the Console tab
7. Type the following into the console and hit enter: store.customBot.removeCustomBotIntegration()
8. Try setting the custom bot name
9. Remove the additional flag in step 2 from your shortcut properties.

Check the variations for subscribers. Short: there are multiple variations so you need to update/disable them too for the main alert to play all the time

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

For a few weeks now when ever i hit the "Start Stream" button my computer slows down for no reason, unable to use a web browser, unable to launch a game, etc... it just started happening out of the blue. and i been streaming since January with out issues. i uninstalled OBS and also deleted everything in the settings folder and started from scratch... to no avail.. if i'm not streaming everything is fine i can play heavily modded games without lag... its only when i try to stream that have this issue.

Why is the Alert Box on SE using such a high percentage of my CPU? if I trigger a test alert whatever browser I do it throughs CPU usage goes up 55-60%, if an alert is triggered through a follow, subscription, or cheer in OBS then OBS's CPU usage goes up 55-60%. It is making my alerts unusable.

The alerts are using custom WEBM videos I made. Their file size was 28mb, the videos have no issues. The audio attached to those alerts are .ogg files that also have no issues.

I would love some help with this.

Did your anti virus settings change when you updated to OBS 27? Like maybe the update conflicted with some other software or reset it's settings. I am honestly reaching because I am at a loss. I don't know what could be causing your issue with the hardware you have and the settings you are using.

I mean I am running an i5-6600, an AMD R390, and have never had any issues like that. Up until 3 weeks ago I was running an i5-4500 and a 650ti lol. Never had an issue.

For the past couple weeks it seems like my StreamElements Bot in chat does not work for announcing follows, subs, activating commands, etc when I am live through OBS. However, as soon as I go offline, and type !commands or any other command I have setup, it seems to work. Any advice/guidance would be appreciated! Hi everyone. I just streamed tonight after a 5 month hiatus and there seems to be a problem with my custom bot. My custom chat commands are being answered by "streamelements" instead of my custom bot name.

I've gone into Activity Feed and Set Custom Bot Name. I've Connnected Custom Bot Account by logging in and appropriately putting in my credentials. But when the bot is authorized and signed in, OBS.LIVE doesn't acknowledge that I have set up the bot. So it still says "Set Custom Bot Name" and "connect custom bot account". Is this a bug with the new version I downloaded today or something?

Does it take a while for changes done in the alertbox (in this case, an alertbox-only overlay) to reflect in Overlay Preview mode / OBS Studio? When I "emulate" events like stars, follows, it shows up in Overlay "Edit" mode, but not in Overlay "Preview" mode or in OBS Studio even though it has been added as a 1920x1080 Browser Source.

2. In the Target field, add the following to the very end: --remote-debugging-port=40404 (don't forget to add a space before the current path)

6. Navigate to the Console tab

When I'm live, not all of my Streamelements alerts work. They all work when I test them though. If I could get some support on this issue, that would be greatly appreciated. Cause I'm ready to give up on it.

To add your overlays to OBS, add a new browser source in your scene. Paste your overlay URL in the browser source properties, set the dimensions to 1920x1080 (unless you changed them on the website) and check Shutdown source when not visible. https://youtu.be/KDvLynUqXI4

hello there. not 100% sure if the issue im experiencing is from obs lives end or twitch's. when i press "start streaming" everything looks as though its working fine (bitrate is shown, frame drop monitor etc) but when I go to twitch.tv it does not show that i am live.

i made the account im using about 2 hours ago, could this have anything to do with that?

If you are not seeing the OBS Twitch integrations and have OBS.Live installed, please follow these steps:

1. Make sure you are on the latest and greatest version of OBS.Live
2. Exit OBS (make sure OBS is not running)
3. Delete %appdata%\obs-studio\plugin_config\obs-browser\obs_profile_cookies
4. Start OBS.Live
5. Settings > Stream > Disconnect > Connect

If you are not seeing likes/shares on your current stream or page, that might be due to how the privacy settings of the person liking/sharing your stream are set.
If they are set to private we won't be able to see the events.
Specifically for shares, if they share in private groups, we won't be able to see the event.

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Thank you for your response @lilac ocean so the text that one of my viewers typed when he subbed doesn't get read out loud. Same as when a friend donated 100 bits and typed "so spoopy" it wasn't read out loud via TTS. I hope I'm making some sort of sense. I watched the youtube tutorial to set this up but it's still not working unfortunately.

Okay, I've ticked 'Announce action' and saved. Logged out of StreamElements, signed back in. copied and pasted the browser source again into obs.live and it's still not working unfortunately

Can you check if you have show message enabled in the main setting where the video and sound is?

Also you dont have to relog, you can open the browser source, scroll down and click on refresh this page after saving the overlay in the browser
