Hey all, been struggling to reconnect my custom bot account to the obs.live plugin. It was working until I changed the password on the account and now it won't hold the log-in when I've logged in and authorized the account in OBS about 6 times now. I've tried logging out of SE and restarting my computer, but no luck. Any ideas?

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

im not sure what you mean, i used adobe media encoder to make webm with alpha channel, my settings havent changed since i uploaded. Even that second video I uploaded earlier today worked fine and only when i went to add the subscriber alert did it cut everything to 2 seconds

If you are not seeing the OBS Twitch integrations and have OBS.Live installed, please follow these steps:

1. Make sure you are on the latest and greatest version of OBS.Live
2. Exit OBS (make sure OBS is not running)
3. Delete %appdata%\obs-studio\plugin_config\obs-browser\obs_profile_cookies
4. Start OBS.Live
5. Settings > Stream > Disconnect > Connect

I'm using the force field theme's chatbox. Is there a way I can configure the chatbox border to appear only when messages come in/disappear after x amount of time from the last message?

6. Navigate to the Console tab
7. Type the following into the console and hit enter: store.customBot.removeCustomBotIntegration()
8. Try setting the custom bot name
9. Remove the additional flag in step 2 from your shortcut properties.

Most likely the installation did break the browser source plugin.

Please create backups from profiles and scenes and do a full reinstall of OBS including OBS.Live

Hello, I don't quite understand what StreamElements adds? Or I might be doing something wrong with the installation

Because when I installed and opened StreamElementsOBS.Live file it said it couldn't find obs64.exe and that I could browse to find it myself, which I did, and I set it to the location of Streamlabs Obs.exe, after which I could run StreamElementsOBS.Live but all it does is open Streamlabs OBS and I don't see anything different ... Did I do that wrong or am I missing something?

Our product, OBS.Live is a plugin for OBS Studio. We don't support StreamLabs products.

Please help, trying to assist a friend sorting their overlays, however they are not able to have their stream chat box in more than 1 overlay. They are encountering authentication token issues. The overlay with chat box displays fine in preview, however as soon as the URL is added to OBS.live it turns blank. When you click "edit in streamelements overlay editor" the link states the error authentication token issues. We have logged out and logged into both stream elements and obs.live without being able to resolve this issue. Can anybody assist?

Yes so they're showing under the mixer as you can see but they aren't showing as audio sources in any scene

So usually if they appear in the audio mixer, that audio is recorded as a source. If you did need to add it, you should be able to hit the plus and add a new audio input/output device

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

yeah - so that's what i have done - when i click 'connect custom bot account' there is a pop up window for me to log in. it lets me log it, i click authorise, the pop up disappears. but nothing changes and 'send test message' is still greyed out and 'connect custom bot account' is still there

i've booted and re added the bot, de-authorised from twitch settings and added it again but nothing works.
i also created and added my tipping page and added it to my panels (even though i don't want to monetise the stream and i didn't have to that when it did work. but i saw it was on the unlock feature check list)

i feel like i've tried everything and am getting very frustrated

are you sure that's not streamlabs? i don't understand what this set up is for goals
a goal can easily be created via the streamelements editor, there you can configure the goal number you're interested in
and from your activity feed > widget data > goals > you can configure the progress
make sure to save settings and reload your overlays after saved

1. Right-click on your OBS desktop shortcut and open the Properties
2. In the Target field, add the following to the very end: --remote-debugging-port=40404 (don't forget to add a space before the current path)
3. Open OBS (or restart if it was open)
4. Open your web browser and type in: localhost:40404
5. Click on StreamElements - Activity feed
6. Navigate to the Console tab
7. Type the following into the console and hit enter: store.customBot.removeCustomBotIntegration()
8. Try setting the custom bot name
9. Remove the additional flag in step 2 from your shortcut properties.

Hi, for whatever reason when ever I try to add a browser source into my scene from the streamelements website I get a white screen that says "Uh-oh... Invalid authorization Token" I've tried deleting the overlay and creating a new one, logging out of obs, re-starting obs, and even restarting my computer, I also tried to refresh the cache of the current page and nothing has worked, I've even tried using a different overlay background and I still get the same error, it's odd because ive made two scenes with no issues and all of a sudden that error is popping up. Any ideas? ( a kind of work around to this would be opening the preview of the overlay and using that link instead of the link from the editor)

I'd even reset the twitch stream key and reconnect in OBS via OBS settings > stream

I've been trying to connect a custom bot to obs.live but when I login and authorize the bot account, the name doesn't appear in the drop down menu. It even says that the account is connected when I check on twitch. Not sure how to proceed...

6. Navigate to the Console tab

No that is still the issue i am having, just with those specific overlays, if I add a new overlay link to OBS and then to the source which is a browser (chrome) then paste the link to the page in URL browser source area it populates that Invalid Authorization token, here is a picture of what comes up when I paste links into the browser source URL:

I FIGURED IT OUT --- manually. The import tool is still broken for me, but I managed to figure it out on my own...

I opened the OBS "import" menu, then I had to find the HIDDEN Library folder, which is where the SLOBS files on Mac are (and why they don't auto-populate in the importer). There is more than one "Library" folder on a Mac (for whatever reason -- ask Tim Cook, I guess...) but the one that's HIDDEN has all the more sensitive cache & application support files.

When you said "obs cache folder for mac" it made me think about that. Mac OS apps don't have access to that hidden folder unless specifically pointed at it, so it wouldn't auto-populate in OBS with a general scan of my hard-drive because OBS isn't allowed to see it. Such a silly thing causing a lot of headache. Luckily the fix was pretty freakin' simple.

I might make a video tutorial for it at some point. "How to switch from SLOBS to OBS-Studio (or OBS.Live)" sort of thing.

However Twitch support said they couldn't help me

Hey folks. I can't connect a custom bot through OBS.live anymore. I try to connect, I log in, og Authorize, and then it just shuts down without the bot being connected. - I get a mail that a login was succesful, but nothing is happening in OBS.live. I have tried to reset my bots connectivity with StreamElements, but it didn't work. Can any mods do some magic? Thanks!

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

bitdefender is bad with allowing modifications to folders that have been previously flagged

please make sure to launch OBS.Live as admin > see the issue > try to login > close OBS > collect the last log from that folder mentioned above

I'm guessing it's because it expects the config folder to be in AppData etc? instead of within the same folder where OBS is running from

when i run the updater from config\obs-studio\plugin_config\obs-streamelements it just gives me a prompt which then ends up closing the updater itself lol

Yes, the previous version of OBS.Live works normally, but I forgot how I updated last time it needed to update. I think I ran the installer, but that just installs the older version now

hi all! I somehow managed to remove the x for closing the window and the fullscreen button and the minimize button in obs top right... any idea on how to get thatbakcß 😄

There's an issue with the installer/updater...not the obs live itself...I faced the same issue with every OBS Live update...it just doesn't work well with portable OBS as far as I can tell

Edit: Managed to figure it out, I took the updater from config\obs-studio\plugin_config\obs-streamelements and moved it to my desktop and then it finally allowed me to update. I guess there can't be any executables running from the obs folder that the updater is trying to update.

that's usually F11 that does that, try clicking it again while in OBS

thanks, but tried that and that actually removes the windows bar on the bottom 😄

so yeah. press F11 and make sure you still see the start bar at the bottom
when you do see it, hold shift and right click the open window > and choose "move"
then use the arrow keys on your keyboard to move the window around, and when you see the top borders and top right corner, press enter
that should show the minimize \ maximize \ close buttons again, and you should be able to maximize as usual

I can access obs, but most of my browser sources aren't working, and it disconnected me from my Twitch (I cannot reconnect to it, there's no option available anymore)

since you don't have the SE menu on top and the bottom of the window doesn't show the OBS.Live version, it seems like it's currently not installed

you can confirm from your add \ remove programs

if OBS.Live is showing there, just to be safe, uninstall it
