Okay so first of all, please write whole sentences. Spamming single words is kinda annoying. For your crash: Seems like OBS-Websocket and something ASIO related is causing the issue. Have you tried updating all your OBS plugins? Because there was a huge underlying change in how OBS works and handles plugins from v25.x.x to v26.x.x

  1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
  2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
  3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Alrighty guys! This is my last resort! My chat and browser sources are completely disabled in OBS.Live and I have run out of ways to fix it! Any help would be appreciated! (Disconnected then reconnected all Browser Sources, Re-installed All OBS and .Live, Tested alerts and Overlays on SE and they work, a few other tests have been done as well)

I need some help with my live stream audio
For some reason, when I change scenes, my audio sources such as my background music will not fade out. I have tried setting this through stinger transition, using filters, downloading and working voicemeeter but nothing seems to work.

The latest streamelements OBS LIVE crashes my OBS on start-up. I've updated all the plugins that I can find updates for, but it still crashes.
Sadly OBS isn't making a crash report for this, looking at Event Viewer and windows Security and Maintenance problem details doesn't reveal anything other than "A problem caused OBS to hang"
The only solution for me at the moment is to not use OBS live which is frustrating. Searching around, this doesn't seem isolated, so any ideas are appreciated.

I have been using streamelements OBS Live for 2 months now and I have had no issues when I stream everyday. I havent streamed the past 2 days, and when I tried to today, in the bottom of the screen it tells me I am dropping a constant 95% of my frames everytime I start up my stream now. I did not adjust any video or streaming settings since the last time I streamed (I usually only drop like 5% frames now its up to 95%), I haven't even touched OBS since the last time I streamed. Any idea what is going on???

i dont understand your question. the obs system does not recognizer the separate cameras. so in obs even with multiview i am only getting 1 single feed thru whichever cam is hot on the blackmagic versus when plugged into a monitor i get the multiview feature with all 3 cam angles

Good afternoon StreamElements and pals. I have a question relating to the raffle module. As I have previously mentioned, I utilize raffles and I have one follower who seems to be very very lucky. Almost all of the time they seem to win. Now that is awesome and I always congratulate them on winning. It's just that it's starting to feel a little unfair for the other people who join, is there some way I could change odds? Also is there a way I can see who enters the raffles ? Besides seeing the chat.

@weary lantern Valve has implemented a trusted mode which does not allow OBS to hook CS:GO using Game Capture. Read more in their announcement post here https://blog.counter-strike.net/index.php/2020/07/30736/.

Additionally, they have no plans on allowing OBS in trusted mode.

You will need to run the game in either windowed or borderless fullscreen and use Window Capture instead.

  1. Make sure you are on the latest and greatest version of OBS.Live

Hi I attempted your suggestion that is was minitor off that was causing me not to hear alerts which unfortunately hasn't worked on the theme on browser stream elements it is also making no noise now even when I preview sounds and the strange thing is it works sometimes and not others I feel there is more to this and it has to be somthing to do with stream elements

I'm having issues. I recently installed SteamElements and apparently it caused my OBS to update to 26.1.1.

In doing so, I lost my saved layout (and for whatever reason, the import of sources and stuff kept failing). So after I redid everything, I tried to add a chat box to the source list (to place where my screen's 'chat' square is)...

But that's when I realized it's nowhere to be found. It's not under sources like it was on my old OBS version. Not even the alert box that brings up when people donate, follow, raid, etc. There used to be a "test widgets" thing on the bottom, that's gone too.

What's going on??? :< Did StreamElements screw things up, or is it an OBS update thing?

Well, that's the thing. I didn't "make" a chat scene/source. It used to be in the list of available sources to choose from before the update happened. And there was a "test widgets" thing where you could test the alert box (also not anywhere either). I dunno how to fix it.

It was just a chat box you could edit to have the text style you wanted, colors, text sizes, etc. And you could resize and position it on the screen like an image source or whatever else. Same with the alert box.

Now none of that's even present. I dunno why.

Maybe it was a Streamlabs thing...? I dunno what's going oooon. I thought the two were the same thing.

...Yep apparently they're two different programs. I thought the update upgraded Streamlabs to OBS 26.1.

  1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
  2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
  3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
  4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
  5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
  6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

@snow tinsel In SE Overlay editor also please make sure all overlays you want to see have a eye that doesnt have a line through it, as they wont show up on the live product

Put in the double security thing to get a passnumber on my phone whenever I log into my twitch as I just became affiliate, but now when I start OBS Live I get this

Authentication Failure, Failed to authenticate with Twitch: Status_error: Invalid refresh token (HTTP 400).

It works everywhere else seemingly just not in OBS live, and I worry I will have issues streaming and I have yet to try... The window where I input what my stream is about and stuff disappeared as well the instant I got this double verification. I have checked over the results in here for this error message, but nowhere I could see a canon fix. Hlep? ❤️

hey guys i have a really quizzer of a problem on Stream Elements Overlays. i wanted to make a chatbox widget so i can see while playing a game however when i click to create a chatbox nothing comes up at all. when i leave to edit the same overlay it always comes up with an "oops something went wrong" message and it does the same with all my other downloaded themes that i got. if i try to preview them i just get a white screen. I've tired different internet browsers and it does the same on all of them (Firefox and Chrome) any assistance would be great

so, Iogged out of SE website, and logged back in. Logging out of SE made my OBSLive app close/logout. After logging back into both OBS and SE, I now do not have the option to do a "Set Up Wizard" and my SE is still not connected. @full thunder

welp fuck, got another issue, when enabling TTS in the stream alerts i have set every alert to announce action, for some reason it does not announce the action or read messages on Cheer alerts.
voice is set as Brian, same as all my other alerts, volume is a solid 75% enable TTS and announce action boxes are both ticked to be "ON"

Hey Guys, Got an issue with SE OBS. My activity feed is showing twitch but i want it to be pulling info from Facebook. How do i switch it over?? The stream chat is also pulling info from twitch rather than facebook comments on live video.

I'm having issue with my bitrate when starting up my stream. Dropping frames like crazy. I not changed any settings and I double checked my stream key.

@sand totem Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

Speed tests usually cannot help solve this problem and its best to use this guide: https://obsproject.com/wiki/Dropped-Frames-and-General-Connection-Issues

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

@sand totem Use the Twitch Bandwidth Test to find the best Twitch server to stream to. Set Duration to Medium. You can uncheck any regions you're not near.

After the test completes, click the Share Result button to upload a screenshot, which can then be copied and pasted here.

Hi, got a strange bug with OBS.live and the custom bot...
It will not let me connect the account, although if I login to twitch and check connection it says just connected. When I type a command it posts in obs as an old bot that doesnt even have a twitch account anymore and noone can use commands atall in chat apart from me. if i type in twitch chat in browser it posts it as streamelements...so confused lol

2) In the Target field, add the following to the very end: --remote-debugging-port=40404 (don't forget to add a space before the current path)
3) Open OBS (or restart if it was open)
4) Open your web browser and type in: localhost:40404
5) Click on StreamElements - Activity feed
6) Navigate to the Console tab
7) Type the following into the console and hit enter: store.customBot.removeCustomBotIntegration()
8) Try setting the custom bot name
9) Remove the additional flag in step 2 from your shortcut properties."

Hi dear StreamElements team! I figured out how to get rid of echo in streams with multiple scenes featuring Media Request! The box labeled "Control audio via OBS" must be enabled for all the scenes, then ONLY ONE source must be enabled (mute extra channels).

@steep plank Make sure to ballot_box_with_check: “Shutdown source when not visible” for all browser sources (all OBS scenes). @dense atlas the crashlog shows this: c:\program files\obs-studio\bin\64bit\qt5core.dll) and this DLL in the queue: obs-websocket.dll - these usually are not related to us, although maybe qt5core might be.

Hey guys. Is it possible to do "folders" for Overlays in the browser? I have some different channels I stream for and having both my own and all of their overlays in the same "My overlays" is a bit much to navigate through 😄 ..

Not sure how you are streaming to different channels, but overlays in a specific account(specifically the alert widget) will only work for that specific account.

As for folders, I'm not sure if it wa ever explored to be implemented, but I will mention it to our PMs next time I speak with them.

@shy mountain ive not started yet - but I wanted to make the overlays on "my" user and then just use the browser feature as i do on my own, and insert the specific ones when im streaming on another channel.

I'd imagine it'd be cool to have some folders you could use for different seasons or streams - like having a folder for "CSGO" containing CSGO-themed overlays, one for Valentines/ Easter/ Summer/ x-mas etc. Just so you/ I don't end up with 60 overlays which could be troublesome to navigate through 😄

Just to point out something, if its alert editing specific and you are on Twitch, its best to ask in #helpdesk-twitch as this channel is specific to OBS.Live issues.
That being said, I would need a bit more info. Which text, what color, screenshot can help determine those faster.

If you are a Twitch streamer, regardless of the issue, as long as the issue is related to your account -> #helpdesk-twitch
If you are a Youtube streamer, regardless of the issue, same as previous, but #helpdesk-youtube

If you are having issues with OBS.Live, for example the Activity Dock is weird, or in general OBS is not loading the overlay - here

Last two nights, about halfway through my stream, the chat bot stopped working. Been using it without issue for weeks or even months, but it stopped and I couldn't get it to work again without restarting OBS (which kills the stream).

@lyric temple If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

  1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
  2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
  3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
  4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
  5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
  6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again
