Hey folks, I'm trying to make a custom command for my Streamelements bot which unhides a layer then, after a certain amount of seconds, hides the layer again.

I had a similar command in SLOBS which was <$SLOBSsourceT("NERD!", "onoff", "3")> is there a similar command for StreamElements/OBS?

I recently upgraded my PC and monitors (as in I've had all of this about a week.) I'm reloading OBS.live and getting everything set up and now I'm in a pickle. WHEN my OBS captures my main monitor (2k resolution) Its UBER dark in OBS preview, as if I turned the brightness down to like... 50%. and then the moment I change anything on my overlay (like hiding my webcam border) it goes black. (Update: and either remains black, OR lags really badly when trying to update the display for the main monitor, as in I moved OBS to second monitor and the preview hasn't changed for 2 minutes.)

It also shows my main monitor as 2560x1440 0,0 and my second monitor as 2560x1440 2560,0. I've looked this issue up on YouTube, and everyone says to put it in compatibility mode (done that) and then select integrated graphics on the Nvidia control panel, but the issue is that I don't have integrated graphics, only my nvidia 2080TI. I really don't want to go back to Streamlabs OBS because I like StreamElements a lot more and have spent the last year on OBS Live.

🔹 Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again with by connecting with Twitch.
🔹 On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select "Join" under bot settings. If it says "Part" select that and then select "Join" to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
🔹 Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Hello, I have the OBS live version and I am getting bad echo when I use the media request tool/widget. I am not viewing my own stream on the same computer, I have it up on a separate laptop.

My specs are:
Windows 10 pro
36GB of RAM
RTX 2070 8GB

I have a set of channel point redemptions that change my graphics on demand but I can't figure out how to change the font on my stream goal without creating a new overlay for each different font every time.

It's just a text sub goal which displays "August sub goal: {count}/100" - ideally I'd like to be able to do this with a tip goal as well. Any ideas? I'm very much a novice when it comes to this stuff but any help would be appreciated

@granite sand Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

Yo, I've been having some issues with the Media Request tool, If I want to show the video on stream, the audio echos. The only way I can prevent this is by muting OBS as a whole, but then im unable to hear the music for myself. I was trying to use the show on stream button as a way to show what music is actually playing. Is there a way to fix the first problem or an alternative to show what song is playing?

Thanks, looks live I've fixed the issue for the most part. The audio was skipping when I switched scenes but I found a sorta fix for that by making the Media Request its own individual overlay. The only problem with that is the only thing showing is white text so streamelements doesnt see anything and forces it to stop showing on stream, I'll just have to add an image or something to it.

@grave dove apologies for the late response, had some things to attend to.
This is expected. Out plug-in for OBS is what takes care of that change.
So when OBS is closed we expect to see SE bot replies.
And about whispers - the bot will whisper, not the custom bot (regardless of obs being opened or closed)

The media request, as well as the obslive Stream Deck extension seems to be insanely buggy - or is it just me?

If you try to pause it, it can put itself in a loop of pausing and un-pausing, if you try to adjust volume, it can start jumping up and down in volume, and sometimes it can start playing on its own on scene switches

I am having difficulty creating a variation of sub alerts.For example, I have an alert where if someone gifts a sub to one person it will pop up.
I also have an alert if someone gifts 2 or more subs.
HOWEVER, what is happening is this:
Someone gifts 3 subs to the community - community alert of 3 gifted subs pops up
Then 3 separate alerts pop up that user 1 gifted a sub to user 2, user 1 gifted a sub to user 2, etc.
If someone is gifted more than 1 sub to the community, I just want one alert to say "User has gifted X subs." I do not want additional alert to say each individual sub.
However, I dont want to get rid of the basic one gifted sub of "User 1 has gifted User 2 a sub"

Follow these instructions, in this exact order. Doing anything out of order will result in issues:
Uninstall OBS.Live
Uninstall OBS Studio
Install OBS Studio on its own
Delete all of your browser sources
Install OBS.Live
Remake your browser sources manually; an imported scene collection will bring the issue back.

In the meantime you can set the title using the !settitle command in chat (if enabled in your bot command settings)

@untold bridge do you mean save the VOD on Twitch or save it as a video file on your PC? For saving VOD on Twitch you gotta turn it on in settings. For recording while you stream, simply press the "record" button while you are streaming.

Hey guys, need a little help. My bot (set with a custom name to match my twitch name) randomly stopped working. It reverted back to "StreamElements" even though I didn't mess with those settings, and some of my custom commands wont work, while others still do. As of 2 days ago, I am dropping anywhere from 40-70% of frames for no apparent reason. I had an ISP tech come out and he said nothing is wrong on their end and it must be OBS Live or Twitch. Can anyone take a look and maybe help out? I can't stream because of it.

I've logged in to the SE website in a normal browser just fine... (I did reset my SE token some days ago, trying to troubleshoot a different issue. Yesterday while on stream, i had followers and a couple of subs but each time I couldn't hear the notification come through. When I am tabbed into the obs app itself I can hear it, but when I am tabbed into a the game I'm streaming I can't. I had stream stickers on as well and I hear them fine, just not twitch alerts. If anyone could help or you need anymore from me that would be awesome
