Not sure if you'll have a fix for this, but in the chat dock, if I try to access FFZ settings, it won't pop up like it used to, but instead go to my browser and I can't change the settings in the chat box for SE Live. Any ideas?

not sure if i'm in the right section, i just got an ultrawide, i'm getting everything to work in obs. i have fixed the overlays to fit to the screen where i think i want. but now sometimes the screen will blink black then show the game then go to black every so often it's weird. The stranger thing is it still shows perfectly fine in OBS, Its not one game either, happens with several.

Just via OBS studio. I click StreamElements on the upper middle part of Obs then login. The pop-out window will show.

The reason why I'm trying to logout and log back in is because my stream alerts is not working when someone tries to react, share or follow my page.

I tried logging in to Microsoft Edge and the same problem happens but I can login to the website using Brave browser. I'm not sure if that has something to do with it or if OBS is using microsoft edge internally.

looking for some help, i had all my chat commands working a couple days ago and today when i boot up OBS none of my chat commands work anymore. I have tried doing the "Part Channel" method for the bot, didnt fix anything. I unlinked and relinked my twitch account through the SE.live, still didnt fix anything. I have also tried to completely uninstall SE.live and OBS and reinstall them but still nothing fixed it.

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Still having my same issue;

When I leave the obs browser source responsible for stream elements open/unmuted, I will get OBNOXIOUSLY LOUD trumpets n sound effects followed by a narration for "Edibles DOT COM".

Restarting the widget via the SE menu didn't fix it. Restarting OBS didn't fix it (tried that one multiple times). It only started happening seemingly after I clicked a button on my SE Activity Feed that opened a link/page to SE sponsorships, and is not audible outside of OBS or if a specific OBS browser source is muted.

How do I go about fixing this? Would a full reinstall of the extension even fix it? why am I getting ads via the SE extension within OBS?

Relogging entirely to the Stream Elements extension did not fix it.

Next step is to reinstall it entirely but I'm not sure if/how itd fix things at this point, or even whats causing it.

All I know is a "obs-browser-page.exe" source of audio that is responsible for my alerts is also playing the audio sound, as when its muted I dont hear the "ad" OR my SE alerts. I have 0 idea whats causing it specifically, as I've reloaded the SE Activity Feed and relogged the extension. I've also tried restarting OBS multiple times.

I can try reinstalling extension, but I dont know what that could even reach/change/reset...

Ok I fixed it by (in OBS) going to the "Streamelements" tab, then "Stream Setup" and "Edit Widgets Data" where I could log in with my YT account again. A few OBS restarts and re-logins and voila, my activity feed was the Youtube one again

So the automod stuff is weird. I have my timers and things configured to use an alternate account called SwarmOS, and I made sure that SwarmOS is modded, but if it times someone out for doing something like caps-lock spam, it comes from StreamElements. kinda ruins the flavor of my stream a bit.

If you are not hearing your alerts and/or Media Request, you are most likely using the Control Audio via OBS option in your browser source properties.
To make sure you hear the alerts and the stream also hears them, follow along the screenshot bellow.

Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card, PS4 remote play or Xbox companion app and a PC with OBS in order to have overlays over your console gameplay.

To add your overlays to OBS, add a new browser source in your scene. Paste your overlay URL in the browser source properties, set the dimensions to 1920x1080 (unless you changed them on the website) and check Shutdown source when not visible and Refresh browser when scene becomes active, as shown in this GIF: https://imgur.com/a/2JhJD0S

Hi, I'm having an issue with SE.Live where my overlays will freeze while playing. If I don't have SE.live installed, it works great, never an issue. However, when I have SE.Live installed, randomly, the overlays will start freezing. The only fix I've found is restarting OBS, or shutting down and restarting the source entirely. It really ruins the immersion of the stream. 😦

This is my new streaming PC with freshly formatted Windows 10 install, only other things installed are Firefox and Stream Deck software.

Can anyone help me? I send message in helpdesk-twitch, but i think that the right place fot this problem is here.
My SElive doesn't connect with the twitch in my OBS Studio. In browser, i can login and see the alerts, but in the OBS Studio, the SElive only shows me the message: network error and i don't make login. The same situation occurs with the chat dock of the SElive.

I tried follow the steps of this document (https://support.streamelements.com/en/articles/194-se-live-troubleshooting), entering in the remote debugging in port 40404 and i can see another error about authorization token:

Hey there, I think this is the closest chat to my problem.

I've had an interesting issue for about the last 6 months. I've seemingly lost control of my SE.Live media request.

None of the options work in the elgato stream deck software anymore, and give me the message that they are offline. (see attached image)

I've got OBS studio with the SE. Live addon, and I've also logged out via my streamelements tab in obs and relogged and nothing has brought back the functionality of my stream deck.

TL;DR - Am I doing something wrong? Or is this service actually offline?

Hey guys, ok here is my issue:
My emotes and alerts are extremely laggy when appearing on screen. Its like they are running at a choppy low framerate.
But when I play the overlay alerts directly on the SE website editor they appear normal.
Also the SElive twitch chat dock is extremely laggy aswell especially when displaying animated emotes. Even functionally it is laggy.
Specs: 5900x 48gb ram 3060 1tb NVME

I was checking out stream elements and I noticed that they had an OBS add-on program called SE.live so I downloaded it and installed it, now for some reason, I have two different launchers of OBS one called OBS and the other SE.live. The SE.live has different features that I saw on their websites but for some reason, it does not go to the actual OBS launcher. Which one should I use to stream? Also, I can't seem to get the stream deck mobile app to function properly. What would be the correct approach to solving both problems?

Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

Speed tests usually cannot help solve this problem and its best to use this guide: https://obsproject.com/wiki/Dropped-Frames-and-General-Connection-Issues

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

Hi there, i hope you guys can help out, in OBS SE.Live is blocking me from streaming to Twitch (I've got my stream set to broadcast to Twitch).
Whenever i click start stream it keeps coming up with an SE.Live window titled Start Streaming to YouTube but the window never actually loads and the stream just simply won't start, I'm using SE.Live 22.9.8.69 and OBS 28.0.2, is there anyway I can not have this window come up and just stream to Twitch? I've double checked my stream settings and they are indeed set to twitch and the twitch chat dock windows have loaded too

Hi! I really hope I can find the answer here. My video capture is partially transparent and I cant figure out why or how to make it opaque. All the filters say I'm at max opacity. Ive spent hours trying to figure this out but havent found any mention of this issue. I checked for updates today and there are no updates to do. I'm using a logitech c922 pro stream webcam. Just wondering if this is an issue that is being worked on or not, SELive breaks the ability for me to use NVIDIA gamestream over moonlight and I am not finding any documentation regarding this. It takes over 2 of the ports that Moonlight uses and so I am unable to run the program at all with SELive installed, and then after uninstalling SELive the issue persists, I had to do a full system restore to be able to use moonlight again.

Hello guys, for quite some time I am experiencing problems with Media Request feature.

1️⃣ Sometimes, mostly when playing War Thunder, player is freezing for minutes to play a few seconds or skip the tracks, it is weird and it is not happening in other scenarios
2️⃣ I can not set hotkeys. When I am assigning hotkey, click save and after that hotkey is disappearing + you are unable to use F13 - F24 keys
3️⃣ It is impossible to control request by third party apps like Touch Portal, maybe API is broken?

Anyone having or had issues with the media player widget? Mine will start to play the music video, but after a few seconds lags out and no longer plays the music video or music. It'll play fine in the media request section on the website and it'll play (somewhat) via the OBS widget if I click on 'settings' so it undocks it and hides the video to show the settings page. The media widget while on the settings tab will occasionally fail to autoplay to the next song/video and the !play command must be used.

Hey all - I seem to be having issues with the Media Request function of SE.live - every time I try to change any settings, they don't seem to actually change? It looks like they have, but the default playlist doesn't change, it keeps playing from the one already there, and if I close and re-open OBS, all the settings are back to the default settings.

There is no easy way to unlink 2 owner-type accounts from each other. The only way is to make a closure request from here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security

WARNING: In submitting a closure request, all linked channels within the account will be deleted and you will lose all associated data. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data (tips, subs, etc). You can still reconnect with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Hello! I was looking for some guidance regarding my Chat Box that I am using through an SE overlay. Recently (after the OBS 28+ updates) my BTTV and FrankerZ emotes have stopped appearing within the chatbox on screen (not my Chat dock within OBS).
I can't find any reason for this to suddenly disappear after the updates, but any help would be greatly appreciated!

What I tried:
Created a new overlay, duplicated the chatbox into a new url and added it to OBS Live. Same problem.
I switched from using a stream key in Settings<Stream<Connect Automatically<Twitch Chat Add-Ons: Better TTV and FrankerFaceZ. Restarted OBS, same issue persists.

The chatbox I am using is from a package on NerdOrDie called Arcade Pop and has for the last 2 years supported BTTV and FrankerFaceZ emotes.

After that, do !emotes update in your chat. Then do !emotes bttv

@dapper igloo thanks, usually what I do when it happens is just go into Activity Feed -> (Menu) -> Stream Settings -> Custom bot name -> Current bot name -> StreamElements. then I hit Save, then I go back into it and select my bot's name, and that seems to work. the problem is, i keep needing to perform these steps before the start of every stream, because for some reason it's not sticking.

Well, my workaround has been adding chat commands in SE to play pause and skip and then Stream Deck to post those commands in Twitch chat via a button. As per the volume, I am using filters in the source. Far from ideal, but it works at least.

Genuine, non-snarky or combative question: Is it even worth asking at any point for updates on the Mac version for OBS 28? I don’t want to waste anyone’s time.

I understand/respect why it’s a bad idea to announce/promise ship dates when it comes to software.

That being said, at this point, Mac users don’t know if the update is closer to 2 days away, 2 weeks away, or 2 years away.

I don’t want to move away from SE, I’d personally rather hold out. However, the total uncertainty is making me think of possible migration paths/contingency plans, and I imagine I’m not the only Mac user in a similar boat.

I wonder if anyone at SE will ever be able to say anything that approximates even a vague range, like “Spring” or “coming soon” or “we’re around halfway done” or “we’re close” or “2023”. If not, at the very least I can stop asking. Thanks! 🙂

We ask in our champ calls about things like that and the best answer we get is “no eta” because we aren’t privileged to the devs current workload/priorities. I would expect it to come out after 28.1 tbh just because all the bugs that obs has as part of new version, and all the wonderful things Ventura introduced as complexities as part of development.

That’s just me. Tbh you can run 99% of streamelements without the plug-in if needed

hello, can anyone help me with the SE.live dock for media request? every time i try to use it while i stream, which i have been trying to use it for months, it has seemed buggy or glitchy, but today it seems considerably worse. the dock itself keeps flashing or flickering, sometimes if i hover over it with my cursor black boxes will appear and the images and icons will flicker in and out. the progress bar for the video playing stays stationary, the music is playing but the bar will not progress. sometimes the video that is playing will end but then repeat, or it will go to the next song but show the title/thumbnail for the previous track still. but my media request rarely if ever auto plays songs even though i have it set to do so. usually it will play one song and then pause... it has just been very difficult to set up and actually use and i was wondering if there was a fix now that it has gotten even worse and i am really frustrated. i refresh it constantly, i try different backup playlists, i remove the dock and add it again. not sure what else to do. i have it docked above my chat dock. i will attach a photo of what it has looked like for most of my stream today.

as i typed this out, the playlist has been playing just fine, but the video title/thumbnail does not change when the song playing changes. it's like it is stuck and doesn't fix itself even when i refresh it sometimes.

Basically yes. In SE Live, I'd like my editor (marked as such on both Twitch and the SE site) to take over the stream, without giving the full account logins.
See as an example, on the SE website, I can moderate the activity feed of a channel I'm mod for. Would love to be able to switch to different accounts like this in SE Live.

This allows for playing alerts again and to see things like merch purchases. The budget solution is to just have them rely on the twitch event feed, which they get in the Twitch dashboard, I guess

It feels as though a channel selector was already planned in the activity feed in SE Live, would be very neat for sure. But we can make due.

Hi there, sorry to bother but i seem to get some Audio Lag from using the S.E Media Request through OBS Studio, it will run relatively smoothly until i go to do something else and then it stutters like it is being depriotized or bouncing.

Main symptoms;
Songs will stop as if buffering, however stream rates are great. @ 5000kbs twitch stream and 700mb dl and 500mb upload constant cabled through LAN.
(may not be linked) but i also notice when changing from one scene to the next, the overlay widget will change audio levels and all sorts of ghosty stuff.
Is there something im missing?

the overlay itself is smooth, visually, but audible the media request grinds things when you need the hype, or surprises you out the blue when it roars back to life

OBS recently updated to current(had skipped two updates, but thought the new update may fix), s.e live up to date.

Or have i simply overloooked my resources(should lower bitrates or change render speeds)?

If you are attempting to stream to one streaming platform, but SE.Live is attempting to stream to another, please try the following:

Navigate to StreamElements menu, on top of OBS > Logout > Login

After you have logged back in navigate to File > Settings > Stream > Disconnect > Reconnect

Monitor and output are on, always the first troubleshooting i do

Make sure that it's the same device for your game capture and isn't set for default (default can be a different device than what is selected for windows output)

Dynamic Bitrate is enabled. Instead of dropping frames when network issues are detected, OBS will automatically reduce the stream quality to compensate. The bitrate will adjust back to normal once the connection becomes stable. In some (very specific) situations, Dynamic Bitrate can get stuck at a low bitrate. If this happens frequently, it is recommended to turn off Dynamic Bitrate in Settings -> Advanced -> Network.

I have contacted support numerous times about my campaigns and it always continues to leave me in the dark. “Automatically Detected unusual activity with conversations” how many were “unusual” how many aren’t. When and how much am I being credited for? What is being flagged?

First I was told “your payment is being processed and it takes 45 days” and then I’m told differentit’s “Our system automatically flagged your conversations” something doesn’t seem right.

I was sent over here from the OBS Discord so I hope I'm posting in the correct forum--apologies if not:

I'm using the SE.Live extension on OBS Studio and my Activity Feed Dock now appears overlaying (as if undocked) OBS; unmovable and stuck in the upper-right of my screen. I've tried moving it with my mouse, with keyboard commands, through the StreamElements -> Docks & the OBS Docks settings (such as resetting the UI), closing the app and re-opening it...everywhere. And I cannot get the "window" to go away or "clip" back in as a docked window. It can be closed by selecting StreamElements -> SE.Live Docks -> Activity Feed. But reopening it just keeps it overlaying OBS. I prefer the SE.Live feed because I can reactivate my alerts through it.

Having an issue with StreamElements Overlays Alerts. They worked perfectly fine up until recently. I'd import a video (which works fine when I test it out on the actual StreamElements page.) But when I copy the URL browser link, import that into SE.Live OBS, then test the actual alert on there, the alert freezes halfway through playing it. I've tried remaking the overlay, importing a different video, even re-downloaded the program. Not sure if this is a SE.Live issue or OBS issue.

i can't click "continue without logging in" so i'm kinda stuck here, i also tried to do it with edge open instead of chrome, but when i try to log in, it just opens chrome.

Hey there! I'm using the SE.live plugin however, everytime i start to sign into twitch it crashes my obs and I can't continue. I'm confused and don't know why? I've uninstalled reinstalled. both with and without the plugin and it keeps crashing. What can I do?

2. Select Crash Reports and then Upload Last Crash Report
3. Copy the URL and paste it to the chat here.

So I went to the crash report folder. There is no crash it just closes. There is no log.

1. Uninstall SE.Live and OBS Studio completely, but leave this unchecked https://i.imgur.com/LBaHgM1.png
2. Download and install OBS Studio from https://obsproject.com/
3. If it doesn't crash, install SE.Live too.

• It's fixed? Nice!

• It crashes again?

4. Repeat steps 1 and 2
5. Duplicate the current "Scene Collection" at the very top of OBS, call it something like "Backup" and remove all browser sources in that backup
6. Install SE.Live and see if it still crashes

• If yes, repeat steps 1 and 2, leave SE.Live uninstalled, tell us that it didn't work and use your old default scene collection again.

OBS is still streaming to Twtich fine. It's the Streamelements aspects of OBS.

And some things that were broken two days ago are fixed.

This page wasn't loading Tuesday night but it is now... but the page to CONNECT still isn't loading
