Uninstall SE.Live, Uninstall OBS, Restart PC, Reinstall OBS & SE.Live & Plugins. The scenes and stuff should carry over as they are saved elsewhere.
Just don't click on Remove User Files while uninstalling OBS

hi there! i updated SE.Live today and saw the double button issue that others have mentioned already. I logged out of SE.Live in an attempt to troubleshoot, and closed/restarted OBS, but now OBS will not open. each time I try, it says there is another instance of OBS already running. I've already tried shutting down and restarting my PC. can anyone help please? 😦

If you're experience the duplicate "Start Streaming" and "StreamElements" button for the latest version of SE.Live, Please download and install OBS Studio from https://obsproject.com/.
After completing instillation the duplicates should disappear. If not, perform a quick restart of your device.

I am having an issue with the fix of Uninstalling the entire obs and reinstalling. Due to the fact I have multiple plugins (with specific settings) within my plugin folder. And when copying that backed up folder, after uninstalling my stream elements, the issue of the double "Start Streaming" button and "Stream Elements Live support" button still exists.
Is there a location or could you point me in the direction of what files get installed during the installation process of this newest patch/download for SE. Live?
Because I have tried deleting everything from the plugin folder with the words "Stream Elements" and the issue continues to persist after multiple uninstalls and reinstalls.

Hi, I just updated my se.live plugin but it showed me double buttons for everything, like it installed the plug-in twice. I unistalled it, rebooted, installed the latest plugin and now obs won't open at all, I tried uninstalling and rebotting again but the problem persists. Only when I'm NOT installing the Se-live plugin does my OBS work.
My current OB version is 27.2.4

Bugs and Errors occur from occasion to occasion. I've had users report no issue with the install and i've had users claim OBS Doesn't open. it can vary from set up to set up. While less than ideal, we are here to provide the solutions so that you are not left in the dark with a broken tool.

It gets rid of the doubled up buttons
And allows you to stream again
Do not need to uninstall OBS, just start the installer and let it do its thing :)

Any reason why an overlay I made in StreamELements' lil thing would not show up on OBS? The sound works, but when I do a test emulation and when I'm actually streaming, the graphic I made doesn't show up

my obs se doesn't keep me log in to replace the name with mine all the time (randomly it doesn't work and i would go a whole stream not noticing it since it was not sending messages to chat) but have me signed in to know what channel to stream to. and to fix it is to go in the SE tab, logout then log back in. is there a permanent solution?

I don't believe upgrading SE.Live will affect any bots that connect to OBS with websocket 4.x. Upgrading OBS or to websocket 5.x will.

Media request lags ONLY when i'm streaming, the music keeps lagging and stutters as if it's loading under bad internet connection when I'm 10000% very sure my 100mbps internet is not being the fault here. Anyone got an idea that stuff that plays in an alertbox like a small video or gif hangs up and kinda stops the whole alert after a couple seconds? Got a lot of variations and they usually worked a longer time ago 
If I do a preview on the website its fine but inside obs it just hangs up and stops.
Also re-installing OBS fixed the double start streaming thingy

After installing SE.Live lastest update in prepare of the new OBS. It would cause my OBS to crash. FYI. To fix this issue I had to re-install OBS again and it seems to have fixed the problem.

That's the problem. I can't log in at all. I keeps bringing me to this page on OBS and the Twitch link and "Continue without logging in" doesnt work. Going to StreamElements menu only shows log in and it just refreshes the page back to what the photo looks like

If you do not touch anything else during the uninstall prompts, except the button "Next", all your profile data and scenes should be stored. Else if you are afraid of loosing them, make sure you do a backup!
If OBS for some reason doesn't open and you want to manually backup your files, open file explorer and paste this into the location bar on top: open file explorer -> %appdata%\obs-studio\basic -> copy the 2 folders there

I can't get my OBS to launch after installing SE.Live today. I had ran the updater for SE.Live today and ended up with a double version of it installed in OBS so I uninstalled it and did a fresh install of SE.Live. However when I did that OBS refuses to launch. I ran the updater.exe in the OBS roaming folder which fixes the launching problem, except that SE.Live is no longer installed when I do that. Any advice on how I can fix this issue?

If you do not touch anything else during the uninstall prompts, except the button "Next", all your profile data and scenes should be stored. Else if you are afraid of loosing them, make sure you do a backup!
If OBS for some reason doesn't open and you want to manually backup your files, open file explorer and paste this into the location bar on top: open file explorer -> %appdata%\obs-studio\basic -> copy the 2 folders there

Currently there is a known issue with going Live with SE.Live. Devs are aware of the issue.
The workaround for this is, to click on the "Live Video Settings" button in the chat dock and use the 2nd option from the pop up "Use these settings" to go live.

The duplicate UI elements are being looked into. At the moment there is a pretty simple workaround - if you update and see this issue, just install a new copy of OBS Studio on top (straight, without uninstalling anything, but keep the client closed). This will override the files and correct the issue.

If you backup %appdata%/obs-studio/basic that should be all your settings, scenes, sources, etc.

So, to be clear: A few-click, mostly automated process provided as the best option by the people who literally make the software seems “risky”…but a manual removal by going into the program files and/or potentially other parts of the filesystem/registry is less risky?!?
Moreover, if you won’t “trust” the “reinstall” solution given here…why would you trust any “manual solution” given here? Either given by the company (who has some motivation to satisfy you so you will keep using their software), or some random other discord user (who has no such incentive).

OBS Install's / Reinstalls sometimes scenes get lost, assets unlinked, plugins go sideways. Guess you have been lucky or your OBS config is simple. Mine is not. Probably my mistake of trying to do too much with it but thats my situation.
Your comment provided no value and was not genuine in its helpfulness. I was merely wondering if there was a folder or something I can do without having to do a reinstall.

Just to reassure you, this is the official fix we recommend in this case.
Major updates like that one, that are prepared for the new OBS V28 version - those can have minor bugs that slipped through.
In this case there are a couple and those are resolved by essentially restoring the files for OBS Studio - this is done by either installing OBS Studio on top of the existing configuration or if OBS is in steam - to verify the file integrity.
Regardless of it, you should have local and cloud backups of your setup, so you can restore it in any case.

You can also have a popout preview or even send it to a specific screen if you want.

Well... I figured out why it was doing the double quote thing. I forgot to close my streamlabs program. Now it just doesn't recognize that I told it to import quotes. Lemme see about getting them imported and I'll post again if I can't get it to import. Thank you for the help.

After the update (and after I reinstalled OBS Studio to fix the double buttons) I noticed that the little reload button on the SE Activity Feed is gone so I can't reload just that dock. I also noticed that it isn't filling up the whole dock and there's a little border around it, which is cutting off the edge of the "Send bot test message" button and other things for Twitch.

Hi. Is there any chance to download older version of SE.live for Mac? Installation file says at least Catalina is needed. I'm on Mojave and i wouldn't like to update as i still using some older apps. Thanks

I just did what's under your message there, I reinstalled the latest version of obs here at the same location it already is. You need to close obs to proceed into the installation.

Could you go to Streamelements.com and try the following steps:
- Open developer tools:
view > developer > developer tools (or Ctrl + Shift + I (Windows), Cmd + Opt + I (Mac)) - Navigate to the Application tab
- Expand the Local Storage item in the left pane
- Find yoink.streamelements.com
- In the table to the right there'll be a list of keys - one of them will be StreamElements.readActivities - remove it
- Refresh
Then go into OBS
Navigate to StreamElements menu, on top of OBS > Logout > Login
After you have logged back in navigate to File > Settings > Stream > Disconnect > Reconnect
