Ahhh okay, just wondering because a little more than a month ago I had reported an issue to the twitter support. They said they forwarded it over to the devs (not sure how closely ya'll work with them). But I haven't been able to get any updates on how the fix for it is going. I can't edit any of my overlays for whatever reason. Just wondering if I could possibly get an update on that? Must have been a pretty complicated issue to take this long 👀

Don't mean to post again but noticed a lot has gone by since my first post.

The YouTube delays can effect multiple events outside of subs, so the member events can be delayed as well

I need to ask this again i get error streamelements Error 400: invalid_request.
When i try to login to my gmail account, i get sent right back to login page.
When i try to use the youtube channel to log in with i get the actual error.

I had a mod contact me saying this is a known issue, but i read that this is from 2019... 😦

I don't know what to do, should i try setup alerts and things direct in obs and just ignore streamelements? I don't really want to tbh.

Yesterday a friend of mine subed to my channel from two accounts to test my alerts and stuff. Stream Elements never registered either of those subs. Not even on the dashboard. In fact the dashboard isn't even tracking the subs and stuff I already do have.

Hey so I’m not sure if the chat widget works. I did an unlisted stream to test it, but when I typed in the chat it didn’t show up in the widget. Does the fact that the stream was unlisted have anything to do with it or is it some other issue?

The default resolution for StreamElements overlays (theme and custom) is 1920x1080. Please add them in OBS at their full resolution and use CTRL+F to fit to screen if necessary. You can then downscale your stream in OBS settings > Video if you'd like https://i.imgur.com/6bWXxjR.png

I have same problem, but i got answer from Streamelements email:
Hey,

Users can choose to make the channels that they subscribe to public or private. By default, all settings are set to private.

Private: When a user's subscriptions are set to private, no other user can see what channels they subscribe to. A user's account does not show in a channel's Subscribers List, even if they are subscribed.
Public: When users subscriptions are set to public, another user can see what channels they subscribe to. User subscriptions are listed on their channel page and their account is listed in the Subscribers List for any channel they subscribe to.

If a user has it set to Private they will not show up in the activity feed. More info: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/7280190

Also due to changes by Youtube there can be a delay up to 4 hours with subscriber notifications. This is the new intended way for receiving events from Youtube by their design.

Hi hi, I'm having an issue with youtube memberships failing to show up in my activity feed. I'm pretty new to youtube streaming, switched from twitch but have gained around 10 new members, to which none of them have popped up as alerts nor show up in my activity feed. i have the alert ticked to show on the overlay editor, and it's filtered to show in the activity feed but streamelements doesn't recognize that i have any. very confused as to why this is :(

Hey guys, I can't seem to get the tipping settings to load up on Chrome. It appears briefly and then disappears. It’s me again; I wanted to test that the chat widget was working, so I did an unlisted stream. While it didn’t work (as someone mentioned above with unlisted streams being a factor), another thing that happened was that the OBS.live chat doc was constantly flickering between “waiting for your stream to go live”, and the.. default screen(?). I really hope I’m wrong that I’m going to have to be public to even check if it works, but still.... (also would this go into the OBS.live channel instead?)

Hello, I'm having trouble accessing the dashboard of a channel I'm bot supervisor at, it just shows me a white screen, not icons, nothing, I already tried deleting the cache and cookies but it doesn't work, I tried it on three browsers already (Chrome, Brave and Vivaldi, haven't tried on Firefox but I'm about to, I'll let you know how it goes) and nothing.
I can access my dashboard and other things just fine, I can also access most of her features (profile, commands, overview) just fine, but when I click on her dashboard it goes to a white screen and I'm unable to do anything else, I can't logout or anything, I can go back but when I do, my PFP changes into that of the youtuber, indicating that I'm "on her side" as a bot supervisor and I logout (cuz I don't know anyway of changing to my side and, again, I can't access her dashboard where the option would be) to go back to my page but no, the screen goes white again, like I tried entering her dashboard again, my only option at that point is deleting the cookies and log in again.
HELP!
PS: english isn't my 1st language so sorry if it sounds weird

Since I am a developer, I helped myself. At YouTube it is possible to create several brand name channels besides the actual account and when I set one of them as default and want to log in with the other one I get this error.

But I don't want to set the streaming channel as default. The channel I have set as default is used for surfing.

im using SE as my chat bot for twitch but i also stream and upload to youtube. ive been using SE mercury for my YT descriptions and i wanted to start using the SE chat bot for my youtube streams.

i had a separate SE account with my youtube channel and mercury was working fine, i deleted the separate SE account for youtube so that i could merge the YT account with my Twitch SE account (to use the same chatbot commands) and now i cant log into mercury.

  2. Your stream must be live for the bot to join the chat.
  3. Go to https://studio.youtube.com/, click on Settings > Community and add https://youtube.com/c/streamelements or https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCjerlCIbLPQwSnYlClkjDXg as a Moderator.
  4. When live, be sure to look at Live chat instead of Top chat, as Top chat will hide the bot messages.

Hello everybody, I do not know where else to go. I checked on Google, YouTube. My issue is quite small, I tried to add my YT channel to my Twitch profile on SE, so they both share the same bot commands, same tip link, same merch link, you got it right? But it tells me the channel is "already claimed" FeelsBadMan , so I went to my YT Profile on SE, and I'm looking to close the account as I believe that will fix the issue, right? hey guys, I'm having the "channel is already claimed" problem as well. i am trying to add my twitch channel to my existing youtube channel, even though i don't think i am signed in anywhere it tells me the twitch channel is claimed. then if i sign out and sign back in under my twitch channel and try to add my youtube channel it tells me my yt channel is already claimed. any thoughts? thanks a ton!

wow, i've been struggling with this for a full day and minutes after i post that message i figured it out ^ I forgot i had setup a previous account with my twitch channel and even though it was logged out, i needed to log back in, go to channel settings, then security tab. then close my account permanently from there. you can get the token you need by clicking the show secrets toggle on the setting page. hope that helps someone

Hello, I was test streaming early today and the chat is not displaying test, I tried to remove SE Chat Bot from ignored users. I am Test Streaming on a Public Stream so I don't know if it's not working just by using OBS 27.1.3's YouTube Integration method, Manage Broadcast -> Select Scheduled Livestream -> Select Broadcast and Start Streaming. I already tried OBS Live Plugin but it does not Start Streaming and it leaves my OBS not responding.

There used to be a method where you could add the activity feed in as a separate browser dock, and then add the streamelements.com as another browser dock to login and authenticate with your token - but this no longer works as there is a script preventing the main website from loading. Initially loads an off-white page before redirecting to a pure white page, and inspecting the source shows the page content is there but is being replaced with all white.

I asked earlier yesterday if there was still a way to do this without OBS.live and was told that it won't work without the plugin.

There is no easy way to unlink 2 owner-type accounts from each other. The only way is to make a closure request from here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security

WARNING: In submitting a closure request, all linked channels within the account will be deleted and you will lose all associated data. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data (tips, subs, etc). You can still reconnect with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

Hi.
So I've been testing out my widgets for my counters, specifically sub goals for that stream session.
I've been trying to reset the counter to 0. When I reset session data, the count returns to 0, but when I click the emulate sub event again, then it increments from a random number from previous sessions and has different count increments.
I've looked through tutorials with resetting session data, and that does not seem to be working. Even deleting and recreating the overlay does not help.
Any suggestion are appreciated😄

hi guys. so this is my issue... i set subscriber alert for youtube, and when i use simulation its working fine on obs part, but when i run livestream those alerts never show up... any ideas why is that? And yes, layer is on top, sound and image is in place (im using default one just for test)... but still nothing happens on livestream, just in obs studio.

It's a combination of 2 things beyond our control

#

The first is users can have their subscriptions set to private so no information is sent to alert of a new sub. No way around this outside of having them set their subscriptions to public beforehand.

The second is youtube has a delay that can range from next to nothing to rather late after a stream may happen if at all.

Not sure if its related, but just in case it helps in solving the issues, not only does my brand account not work but connecting with my other normal account also doesn't work anymore.

I'm experiencing the same issue and I can't link my brand account. All I've ever heard is that they're working on it but there's no update as to what they're doing. I can understand this can be a little impatient but at the same time people are migrating from streamlab so you would think it would make more sense to try to get this fixed since a some of them maybe YouTube brand accounts.
I don't think it's because you're using the same name I think it's because of code that needs to be updated to accommodate the fact that YouTube considers brand accounts to be exclusive to the YouTube platform if created after August 2021. Now if people who created accounts before that are experiencing this issue I'm not sure but it has nothing to do with your actual display name since your channel really is defined by your channel ID or custom URL, if applicable.

I use a chat widget from NerdOrDie for my chatbox, and when using streamlabs, I get a visible box at all times, even when I'm not streaming. NOW, when I converted to using StreamElements, and using the link for the Chatbox widget from N.O.D, I don't get a visible box at all times, or a functioning one for that matter. We do get events in a different way and like i explained, subscriber events are not reliable enough on YT to diagnose issues. We would need superchats and/or memberships as those events are nearly instant and reliable.

hopefully someone can help. i just had this issue after updating OBS. I cant type in my own YT Gaming chat like i use to and my activity feed wont allow me to connect to YouTube. Even with me being signed in on Streamelements under my YTG associated gmail account. I've tried doing both under "custom browser docks" and they both dont work well at all. Anyone that has a workaround for this error. While trying to login to streamelements with youtube? I know this is a known issue But i am stuck with out any chat robot, i can't use any overlays i purchased. And I don't know of any good alternative to streamelements to use until this is fixed. Don't get me wrong i would use S/E over any alternative. But I just keep getting "we know about this" answers. No update or anything. Also it seems S/E has had this problem since 2019. Hello, not sure if this is better for here for the obslive support but relating to more Youtube. I have created an overlay for chat and have attempted to change multiple chat font settings to get it to appear in stream but it does not at all appear. I've done the link pasting and all that as I've done for many other things so Im familiar with that but nothing appears.

2nd issue is the bot does not show up in my mods list nor are commands saving from the Chat commands when I enable or disable. When I refresh my page, they all reset. Help please

There is no easy way to unlink 2 owner-type accounts from each other. The only way is to make a closure request from here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security

WARNING: In submitting a closure request, all linked channels within the account will be deleted and you will lose all associated data. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data (tips, subs, etc). You can still reconnect with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

Hello all, very exited to start streaming with streamelements. But I think I have an issue. I logged in with my twitch account and did many different things/set ups there. Created a bunch of cool screens and worked on it quiete a lot putting a lot of effort. But then, recently, I decided to start streaming on YouTube and I realized today that I have no clue how to port everything that I made on streamelements (connected to twitch) to youtube. Do I have to log off with my twitch account and log in with youtube? If I do so I lose all my progresses. Do I have to link the account? Will I then have my alerts and things like that on YouTube even if they were set up for twitch? I honestly have no idea, what is the safest and best way to port all my set up and alerts, screens and everything I have done on streamelements set up for twitch, to be able to work on YouTube?

We are still looking into how the Brand account are interacting with our system, unfortunately. Do note that alerts can be delayed or not show do to YouTubes own design and there are steps to follow to be sure the chatbot is working

If someone logs with their Twitch and notices there is a YT channel, that doesn't exist anymore because it was deleted, listed under the My Channels section, how would they go about removing it?

There is no easy way to unlink 2 owner-type accounts from each other. The only way is to make a closure request from here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security

WARNING: In submitting a closure request, all linked channels within the account will be deleted and you will lose all associated data. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data (tips, subs, etc). You can still reconnect with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

Okay and I realize I'm responding to the bot here I guess that means I'm going to have to make a backup of any custom stuff I've done because I haven't used any custom overlays so the only thing affected would be the custom commands, blocked words, and timers I had set up.
Edit: since I have a new YouTube channel that would need to be linked to the account after I start fresh, I'm going to have to delay that until the brand account issue is fully resolved.

Since it's a request what would the ETA be on getting the account deleted off your system so I can start fresh?

Okay. Well considering the fact it's not affecting my twitch channels set up with your service I'll wait until one of the issues I know that you guys are working hard on trying to fix is resolved. That way I can stream in the meantime with obs.live

FWIW, this worked for me. I didn't have streamelements set up as a moderator. As soon as I added that, chat timers started working & I could see alerts.

Hello, I am quiet not sure how to do so.. where do I get the JWT tokens? Does that mean I need to log in once with Twitch, get the token, then log in with YouTube and get the token? Then both tokens put them on the form?

Hey everyone, new frog here. Had a quick little question, I've recently swapped from SLOBS to regular OBS and I can't seem to get the "recent activity" feed to work properly. Was wondering if there are any fixes for it? I used to stream on Twitch but swapped to Youtube as well if that's of any importance

Hi @worn hamlet, thanks for the quick response, it's basically the pop-out version of the activity feed that isn't tracking any of the various categories. I've made sure that they're all enabled and not filtered out but it's just not registering

Hello. I stream on YouTube using OBS.Live streamelements. Suddenly last Friday, as soon as I started my stream, my bitrate tanked and has not recovered. I usually stream at 15k but now my bitrate is constantly jumping between 0-2k. My ISP has done everything they can to confirm there is no issue on their end. My download speeds are normal but my uplaod speeds are almost half for some reason - I'm not uploading anything. My PC says "DNS server is not responding" - my ISP (suddenlink) said they don't know what that is. I don't know if it's related, but I do have a cyberstalker who regularly doxes me and has threated to DDOS me but I don't know what that is.
