Hi. It is possible to rename the youtube accounts on our end, this is a manual process and done by developers in a few business days. That includes the tipping URL.

The name that you want needs to be free since tipping URL is unique - if the name is already in use, we need to change it (this is why you see the numbers)

I'm not sure on the exact terminology, but it means they can view(see) and use(download) the email address. This is part of the Google Sign-in terminology, so It might be worthwhile to see if Google has a solid breakdown

hi, so i've moved to youtube to try streaming on here but am struggling to actually start a stream, all of my settings are the same as i streamed on twitch, i used to use 900p however changed it to 720p as youtube said it wasnt supported. i'm at 6k bitrate and when i try to go live it works for a couple of seconds then im greeted with "No data - This stream will end shortly, unless you restart it in your streaming software streamelements"

Hi. I recently tried setting up a live stream on YouTube. Everything seemed to be working so far, but I noticed that whenever there was a new sub It wouldn't show on the alert box present on the stream. Also, that the new subs wouldn't reflect on the sub count in the Stream Elements dashboard. Any sort of help is appreciated.

Merging accounts only allow faster ways to switch between accounts
Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events
Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts

I will say this again. When choosing the default description, its taken from your YT dashboard settings and placed on stream it self. If its empty in your YT dashboard settings, then most likely that is causing this error.

There is no easy way to unlink 2 owner-type accounts from each other. The only way is to make a closure request from here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security

WARNING: In submitting a closure request, all linked channels within the account will be deleted and you will lose all associated data. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data (tips, subs, etc). You can still reconnect with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

I'm getting the the exact command rather than what it's supposed to do. For example ${user} is supposed show the user's name, but when the variable is used in a command, it just outputs the command with "${user}"

Thanks for having the option to scan usernames for banned words, no other Youtube bot has this feature

So if some litle dumbass kid changes their username to "Zane is ___" or "ZaneKyber I hate you" "Zane is dumb"

I suddenly cannot stream to youtube. When ever I I try to go live, i get a blue screen and a stream start requested on the start streaming button. The pop up window is blank. I am logged in to my youtube account under stream settings in obs, in my streamelements account. I used to have a twitch account but havent streamed to that in ages. If I want to stream to yt, i need to log in to twitch on streamelements, but when I do, all of my docks are twitch docks and I can't see my stream activity from youtube or my youtube chat. See attached screenshot of trying to go live to yt when logged in to yt

Unfortunately, YT doesn't send or provide a name change event, so we never update the username on the dashboard. The only thing we can do is, update your alias manually(thats your profile link basically)

I don't think you can currently do something like that without logging into your bot and just paying for membership

In the future Youtube already said they will change it so that mods (aka, bots) will be able to type in member-only chat. Right now, they can't. Dumb I know, but I'm just telling you what they said.

basically if users on YT set their privacy settings to 'private' - they will not show up in the activity feed
other than that, sadly YT announced that for sub events there can be a delay of 4+ hours

just to clarify, it's a privacy setting that is located on each of the viewers' accounts

for example, if your privacy settings are set to private, and you're subscribing to another YTer

#

since your account is set to private, meaning you don't want to show who you sub to, that event will not appear in the activity feed

Hello! Not sure if anyone else has this issue, but my activity feed is NOT updating at all. It has updated in 2 weeks. The weird thing is, is that it says I haven't had a new sub in 2 weeks, and yet my subscriber count in the widget data is up to date and I've had AT LEAST 10 new subs in the past 2 weeks. So it's aware that I'm getting new subs, it's just not showing them in the data?

Try the following steps @obtuse stag:

Use this URL in order to logout of StreamElements - https://streamelements.com/logout
Disconnect the app at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions [we should show up there]
Then navigate to https://streamelements.com/ to login with your YT account again in order to see if this persists.
Make sure to allow all permissions if requested to when logging in.

Use this URL in order to logout of StreamElements - https://streamelements.com/logout
Disconnect the app at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions
Then navigate to https://streamelements.com/ to login with your YT account again, make sure to allow all permissions if requested during login.
After that go to your activity feed > widget data > 'totals' tab, tell me if the number is changed or if it's still 33

Hey Team, I am admin for a youtube channel and been troubleshooting an issue where Notifications don't appear to work for
Members\Superchats\Tips
In the StreamElements Dashboard it doesn't show anything in the graph unless we signout from google and back in (Required/done number of times).

Now I have discovered something that might be causing it.

This channel owner has a Twitch channel using the same email account.
BUT
Instead of clicking manage another channel, They have signed in to the youtube side of SE.

So he has logged into to SE with same email but it has 2 accounts Twitch and Youtube. Could this be causing an issue?
Should we remove the Youtube account, log in as twitch account (Where it works fine for Twitch) and add manage channel?

The initial issue sounds like some permissions are not hooked up properly. Would need a live recording/example and how are you sure the channel is getting tipped?

As for how the streamer logs into the dashboard - if there is a twitch account linked to the YT account, it doesn't matter how they login to the dashboard and if they switch or not. Linked accounts do not share data between them or even login information, its just a quicker way of switching between them.

Having the same email is not an issue as well, its a way for us to send news, updates and stream reports for example.

I clicked the logout link, and then cleared my browser's cache and cookies.

Tried to log back in, but the issue persisted. Still being redirected to the login page. :/

Some context that might be relevant: Awhile back I tried to deactivate my StreamElements account (things weren't working right and I thought I'd try to start fresh), but that seemingly did nothing. Maybe that caught up to me now and is causing this? Though if my account was deactivated, I'd hope I could re-create the account, instead of being stuck in purgatory like this.

Open that link, switch to your Youtube channel (top left) and remove the permissions for StreamElements.

Got a better idea. Can you press F12 in Chrome and go to the Network tab and then try to log in?

So we didn't quite fix it yet, and I could still use some help from anyone available.

Quick summary:

The problem: I can't sign into StreamElements; every time I try I am redirected back to the login page without any given reason, besides the hint given in the URL "streamelements.com/dashboard?error=signup already in progress".

What we've tried:

Using a logout link, and clearing the browser cache and cookies. No results.
Signing in inside Incognito Mode. No results.
Using F12 to check for errors in the Console. Nothing shows up... anymore?
Using a different Browser (FireFox). No results.
Removed StreamElement's permissions from my Google Account. No results.

If you want good content:

remove the background sound first, this is the easiest solution
learn about the audio equipment
learn about the software, most people use OBS because it can do a lot on the fly and does not cost money.

No, because Youtube is different from Twitch. When streaming on YT, each stream is a different VOD that has its own chat. Once live, the bot actually joins the fresh chat it detects for the new stream and simply says that its joined.
