  1. My Sub Goal is not progressing on its own, i always have to manually type the progression towards my goal after every stream when someone subs/gifts subs.
  2. My Activity feed only shows followers, nothing else.
  3. All my alerts are working but the gifted sub alert will not work, yes i tried every possible Variation setting in the overlay editor. And everything is checked and i pasted the exact url into my browser source.

  1. What period of time do you want the sub goal to count? Monthly sub goal that resets every month or total subs overall?
  2. In the activity feed there's an option to filter, it was set to followers only and I added the rest for you, feel free to head over there and filter it as you wish.
  3. I tested your gifted sub alerts and they seem fine to me, try it again if there's still an issue let me know

You have to use a browser for that or your phone browser in desktop mode! Then go on your profile then Info or about me or what is called (where the panels are) and there you should see an edit panels slider thingy.

Feel like its a simple mistake but I cant figure it out. When I emulate a tip event my goal widget doesn't add it onto the previous donation and instead replaces it with the most recent donation amount. Anybody able to help? thanks!

I am having issues with the Alert Box, specifically with the Host alerts. It seems as if setting the minimum number to 0 causes the alerts to not work. I want all hosts to cause an alert.

We have filtered out hosts and will only show these ones on your activity feed:

  • All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
  • Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline

Note: If you see X channel has hosted you with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

  1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
  2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
  3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Hey all. I've been sent by OBS forums because I use the SE.live plugin. I use Triggerfyre as well for channel redeems and custom commands with audio and an image. Here's my issue-I use a headset during stream to reduce feedback/echoes. While doing so, I can't hear SE alerts or Triggerfyre audio, but my viewers say they can hear everything, and I can see the audio mixer showing audio for both 'alert box' and 'triggerfyre' browser sources. If I only use my desktop speakers, I can hear everything just fine. I've looked through SE's forums, OBS forums, and the plethora of other forum posts via googling. No luck fixing that issue, which has been going on for over a month. THEN, last night mid stream, my viewers lost all game audio (was playing Fortnite). I'm at a loss as to what to do. OBS forums suggest uninstalling SE.live plugin, then recording for 30+ seconds and posting the log there, or completely uninstalling OBS and reinstalling. I'd rather not have to obliterate my setup unless absolutely needed. Thanks for your time, have a great day!

Hey all, Using OBS and streamelements. My Webcam will not activate. It used to work consistently, until a week or so ago. I can test it thru discord w/o issue. I've tried unplugging, rebooting and only launching OBS/SE, added a new webcam element, nadda. It just won't recognize. Any advice? Thx!

Hey All! Well... I guess figured it out! I had the OBS virtual webcam enabled, but it didn't display on my studio view. I had to go to the cam layer, see that it was 'active' (cuz the button reads 'deactivate'), click that and confirm my webcam was 'active' and Boom! gtg. Thanks for being my rubber ducky!

@oak panther Are you referring to channel point redemptions? If so, I was looking into this early this week and couldn't find a way to have them show up on the SE activity feed. A few people I talked to had the same issue. Maybe someone else knows of a way, but I couldn't figure it out.

Hi Everyone! I tried setting up the Custom Event List widget from the SE github. It works fine except that the "aggregate community gift subs" option won't work. It only shows the individual ppl receiving the gifts and not the person that purchased them. Has anyone found a way to fix that? I'm assuming it must have worked at some point in the past.

Yes browser source has been added to the scene, I can hear it on the website when I test the alert but nothing pops up on obs studio preview

The only thing I can think of then is that the URL in the browser source may not be correct. Go back to the overlay editor and open up the Alert Box overlay. There is a link icon in the top right of the editor that will copy the URL to your clipboard. Do that and paste it into the browser source properties again.

Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card, PS4 remote play or Xbox companion app and a PC with OBS in order to have overlays over your console gameplay.

I've been having problems with the TTS. Sometimes - random times, no specific reason - the bot is not reading the messages as they are setup. Sometimes I have a giftsub bomb but the bot only reads a couple... Sometimes I have bits but the bot doesn't read the message (this one has happened more frequently).

I’m having a problem with my Overlays for twitch. I want all my chat boxes to be the same across all of them so that when I switch between them, the chat doesn’t vanish. Problem is, whenever I try to duplicate one after deleting all the others (and sometimes just deleting all of them and making a new one and then duplicating that one) they’re never the same. Any idea how I can fix this, or is this just something I have to deal with?

Mobile tutorial completions might take a little longer to update in your 'Campaign Overview' than PC completions
A user can register a new email address to download the game, but they will also need to first uninstall it fully from their device without saving user data, and make sure to avoid linking their Twitch account if they've done it before, for their progress to count toward your goal
In general, when you start the campaign, it might take a bit of time for the 'Campaign Overview' to update with the current progress. Give it some time!

The recent subscriber/raid/host information is not being updated (although followers seem to work for some reason) both on StreamElements widget data and SE live in OBS. I have relogged in both after this change, but it doesn't seem to help.

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

  1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
  2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
  3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

The reason it is happening is likely due to the connection not getting refreshed. If forcing a full logout of StreamElements didn't work, try going to the connections page in your twitch account and breaking the connection there. Then re-logging into SE SHOULD have the new name and the bot join successfully

To reset goals:

  • from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
  • from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

Speed tests usually cannot help solve this problem and its best to use this guide: https://obsproject.com/wiki/Dropped-Frames-and-General-Connection-Issues

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

Did you get a "Channel already claimed" message?

More than likely your accounts need to be merged! - Please note:

  • Merging accounts only allow faster ways to switch between accounts
  • Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events
  • Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts

If you understand the limitations of merging and want to proceed, please find the JWT tokens (!jwt) from both accounts you want to merge and fill out the form here: https://streamelements.com/contact with each token correctly labelled

Hello! I'm about to start a sponsorship campaign but whenever I click "Start Campaign" it just shows a blank page. When I refresh the page, it says that I'm still missing 1 step in setup on the Overview tab. If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

  1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
  2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
  3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

oke what you can try is make a dummy and set it to a low value like online interval 5 and online 5 or 10 and chat lines also 5 or 10 (this is just for testing)
then if there are atleast 5 chatlines of a person (not a bot) this shut trigger the timer if not something is up i know this was one of the reasons i coded my own bot

The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

I just assume this would be the right place for this, but does the bots default counter commands just not support internal variables? I made a death command that anyone could use but wanted a command for mods that could add more than one at once. So I did:
${channel} has now died ${count deaths +${1}} times!
But it seems to not like the step set to the command parameter.

Hi, I am having some trouble with the bot, at first, my Custom bot wasn't reacting to any commands, but the StreamElements one was reacting, I tried to link again my bot account, but it never links it. I tried linking my main account, then it was reacting with it. Today, as I do command testing, not my main account linked, not the StreamElements bot are reacting to my commands (either native, or custom commands). Anyone knows how can I fix this :S

Have you tried all these steps:

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

  1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
  2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
  3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
  4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
  5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
  6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Steps:

i made it all 1 source and its still lagging. I found out that not only the overlays, but obs is lagging EXCEPT for the actual gameplay as you can see with the audio bars. It's weird because the transitions (which are offline files) and gameplay are fine its just the overlays and obs that drop frames badly. Which leads me to believe its something to do with my pc specs

unfortunately my 60hz monitor is limited to 60hz so i will keep that in mind, still my concern is my overlays lagging. Valorant, for example, runs perfectly with my overlays being smooth. But when I'm playing Dead By Daylight especially in the menus, the overlays lag. Which leads me to believe it's either my cpu or gpu or even both. (also im relatively new to computers so don't mind if this is the wrong take on it)

Did you get a "Channel already claimed" message?

More than likely your accounts need to be merged! - Please note:

  • Merging accounts only allow faster ways to switch between accounts
  • Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events
  • Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts

How to separate Media Request (MR) audio in OBS:

MUTE MR FOR YOURSELF, STREAM CAN HEAR

  1. Make a new overlay in the editor, ONLY add the Media Request widget.
  2. Add a new browser source in OBS, add the URL and set the dimensions correctly.
  3. Tick the box for Control audio via OBS
  4. Go to Edit > Advanced Audio, set your MR overlay to Monitor Off. Note: This will play through the Desktop Audio, if you mute your desktop audio, it will mute the MR.

CONTROL AUDIO SEPARATELY FROM YOU AND STREAM

  1. For this you will need a VAC (use command !vac).
  2. Run your MR either in Chrome or in Ground Control (use command !gc). Note: Do NOT click on SHOW ON STREAM.
  3. Set Chrome or GC in the VAC as an audio input and output.
  4. Add the audio output from VAC as an audio input in OBS. Note: This will not be able to show the video in OBS.

How long does it take after i added a user as a super-moderator to the se-chatbot that this user can send commands to the bot? My added user does not get picked up by the se-bot.

uhm, i mean: a message coming in chat, then 5 people need to join a group -> to go on an adventure or something. and its just starting when 5 people joined
