Follow these steps to grant managers/moderators access to your dashboard:

1. Click on your channel name at the top of the dashboard
2. Create a new invite at one of three access levels (Bot Supervisor, Editor, Full Control)
3. Send this invite to a mod/manager to give them access to your dashboard. The link is one-time-use and expires after 72 hours if not accepted

I did unchecked the box on advanced settings with hardware acceleration, but still SE don't show it (and it's not visible on stream). Heya! My Hello Fresh sponsorship ends in 3 hours and I know for a fact 5 new account sign-ups haven't gotten added yet. I know it can take up to 48 hours to reflect the new sign-ups on the tracker. My question is if those new sign ups will still be counted for the sponsorship if they aren't on the tracker as it ends. The 5 orders all came in yesterday. So well before the end of sponsorship mark.

I'm using the following command in my chatbot and it works most of the time, but occasionally I just get "{user} is ,. Let's hope they don't get found!". Like it can't find an option in the random list and just chose a blank one. Any ideas?

Hi. About !quote command. I've added some quotes (#1, 2, 3 and 4 for example). Then I remove quote 3. Now it stays forever empty. Even if I add a new quote, that quote becomes #5 (instead of empty #3). How can I add a new quote 3? Or it is not possible and deleted quote # will always stay empty? My two cents: 1) It may be because you haven't used the bot in your channel for awhile so data didn't or hasn't synced. But if you have had the bot then 2) they might need to re-sync you like they had to do for me before.

This worked for me! Mostly... I was able to use the drop-down menu, and log in to my 2nd twitch account for the bot ("connect custom bot" button), but after doing that, the custom bot doesn't show in the drop down list. I've tried refreshing again as per your post, quitting OBS and restarting, logging out of SE.live and back in again... nothing worked :/ any ideas?

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Follow these steps to grant managers/moderators access to your dashboard:

1. Click on your channel name at the top of the dashboard
2. Create a new invite at one of three access levels (Bot Supervisor, Editor, Full Control)
3. Send this invite to a mod/manager to give them access to your dashboard. The link is one-time-use and expires after 72 hours if not accepted

Hello. I am having issues with my alerts. So far it appears that sub alerts and host alerts are not working properly. If I reply a previous sub alert, it doesn't play, but if I replay a follow alert that goes though. All the test alerts from the overlay editor work perfectly fine though.

From what I've seen all sponsorships are handled via the email support and not on here.

Make sure to include VOD links of streams with sponsor stuff or have them ready to send when they get back to you. Apparently they are getting a surge or requests.

Can Editors and Managers with Full Control not create and edit Tiltify alerts? When I go to create and edit am presented with a box telling me to Connect and nothing happens when I connect. The streamer does not see this error, it shows properly for them.

Here is what I'm trying to do. I made this overlay/alert animation.
I have it set up so the Twitch logo is a static image at all times and when an alert triggers - it will trigger my animation.
I wanted to hide the static Twitch Logo once an alert triggers so it goes smoothly into the animation

I have been having a bit of a problem that I think is coming from my SE chat source. Every time I get an @ directed at me in chat I get a tink sound. I know it is coming from a browser source used in OBS and I am pretty sure it is my chat widget. However, in the basic SE chat widget I am unable to find any setting related to this? Any suggestions?

I was able to answer my own question. I will leave this reply to help anyone else who might have the same issue. When entering a chat widget as a browser source make sure to check "Control audio via OBS." You will be able to specifically mute audio coming from this source or redirect it to a different audio channel of your choosing after that from OBS.

You can also look at an app that runs locally on your own machine called Mix It Up. It can act like a chat bot as well as trigger sounds, videos, OBS elements. I am just learning it myself but it is extremely versatile.

We're not able to troubleshoot issues with using our overlays in Streamlabs Desktop as we don't have the tools to support their software. We recommend using OBS Studio or OBS Studio with our plugin SE.Live.

Hi there, I have a rotating feed overlay that has an animation. if I open it on my gaming PC, I can see the animation fully, but once I put it on my OBS or browser on my streaming PC, the animations don't show up. How to separate Media Request (MR) audio in OBS:

MUTE MR FOR YOURSELF, STREAM CAN HEAR

1. Make a new overlay in the editor, ONLY add the Media Request widget.
2. Add a new browser source in OBS, add the URL and set the dimensions correctly.
3. Tick the box for Control audio via OBS
4. Go to Edit > Advanced Audio, set your MR overlay to Monitor Off. Note: This will play through the Desktop Audio, if you mute your desktop audio, it will mute the MR.

CONTROL AUDIO SEPARATELY FROM YOU AND STREAM

1. For this you will need a VAC (use command !vac).
2. Run your MR either in Chrome or in Ground Control (use command !gc). Note: Do NOT click on SHOW ON STREAM.
3. Set Chrome or GC in the VAC as an audio input and output.
4. Add the audio output from VAC as an audio input in OBS. Note: This will not be able to show the video in OBS.

Multiple people have asked in the last couple of days since it was a pretty evident issue this weekend. And I've just seen the message from @dry hare saying "it frequently happens" and there's no really fix to correct it. It's been 4-5 months with the issue around, an issue that affects the main functionality of SE in terms of users needs. That together with the bug replaying alerts from previous scenes when using a multi-overlay setup makes the StreamElements experience a total disaster right now. To be honest, you should be more straightforward/transparent and provide those details and ETA, because at this point it feels you're just ok with how it is

The issue that is being experienced is a serious one that we have been investigating and found a solution for, but implementing the fix takes time as well. I'm not at liberty as to what the fix is as it involves internal systems.

As for the other issue you mentioned, that has nothing to do with the delays and has a solution which is:
A) If you have 1 overlay that holds your alert widget, but added as a browser source to each scene -> remove all browser sources that hold that overlay -> re-add the overlay to 1 scene -> right click -> copy -> move to other scene -> right click into the source dock -> paste as reference -> repeat as many time as you'd like. -- this method essentially keeps the alert widget active in all scenes, but it doesn't have the side effect of the browser source being semi-active and paused at the same time, which stacks the events.

B) If you have pre-defined themed overlays and each overlay has its own alert widget, simply do this:

You can use which ever Streaming software you'd like, but we do recommend using OBS Studio (with SE.Live installed) as we are not able to provide full and proper troubleshooting for any issues related to our overlays. (in case, lets say they don't load or don't play sounds in SLOBS)

But if you want to transfer over your alert widget + other stuff, I would highly recommend to use the import tool in SE.Live

Never said it was related, but both are present right now and combined make SE alerts a disaster as I said

Regarding the so-called solutions:
A) Not the scenario.
B) I don't see any reason why using studio mode and preloading scenes would make any difference. Apart from that, I don't use Studio Mode and tbh I won't use it just to hacky fix a SE issue.
C) The "shutdown source when not visible" option is also a hacky fix that has side effects. Among others, if you have it enabled and transition while there are alerts pending in overlay1, those alerts will vanish when switching to overlay2 (because overlay2 starts fresh so it has an empty queue). I already pointed this out several days ago, because this is not a solution but a workaround patch.

The issue with replaying alerts has been ongoing since March, but was not an issue at all before that with the very same setup, so it's clearly something on SE side. And it's another thing has seems not getting fixed (and in fact probably isn't if you're relying in those "solutions")

Also we prefer not giving an ETA for the delayed alerts fix, because giving an ETA and realesing the fix and finding out its not working as intended, will open us up for more backlash than anyone would like.
While this is understandable, not making a single statement and ignoring people asking about the issue doesn't do you any good either. After months with the issue, people is getting tired and I already know some that moved back to other services, and some on the verge of doing so. But I do appreciate your answer

If you want technical details, unfortunately, we cannot share any specifics of what is actually causing the intermittent delays(because they are not constant and usually a delay up to 30 seconds is an expected winder with how the system is currently in place and [at least I can mention this] the sheer amount of data that is flowing in when the delays happen) and we prefer not sharing what our own investigation and actual solution that we are working on is, especially publicly.

Going back to the alerts, I would propose Solution A as the easiest setup, because that way you have a single alert widget, which you can edit at any time if you want adjustments, else you will have to edit XYZ amount of overlays for each alert widget, just saying.
Also non of the solutions are hacky, because they are tools provided by OBS specifically to help on similar situations, especially Studio mode which helps pre-load scenes and making sure the scene you want to go to is correct before switching to it.

They're hacky, I'm sorry to say that but they are. The issue wasn't even an issue before March with the same setup, so it's something obviously on SE side. Any fix outside SE is by definition a hacky fix to workaround something not getting fixed by SE. And that would be fine if the fix at least was usable, but as I said those solutions you provide have side effects, e.g. pending alerts vanishing into void when transitioning.

Can I imply from this conversation that this issue is not getting solved by the developers?

In all honesty, this "issue" that you claim to be our issue, is actually how webpages work if they are not shutdown and also not actively being looked at.
They queue up events from dynamic sources and once they become active, they play everything at once or de-queue events in an orderly fashion. I'm sure you've seen a website or two that has done this as well, where you've opened in a tab, looked at once, then tabbed to something else and when you return to it, it instantly starts playing something that you've either forgotten or were not aware of. Essentially they've queued up an event while the page was not the active window.
Also to further elaborate, its a chromium specific thing, where non-active windows are not allowed to play audio or their specific events. OBS Studio uses chromium for its browser source, so in the end its not us, its Chromium and how they police stuff. Nothing we can do to prevent this from happening, except using the "shutdown when inactive" option, which is why its being provided as an option from OBS Studio. This is not an issue that OBS Studio devs can "fix" as well. Or at least I assume they won't, but its also not their issue to look into.

I'm very familiarized with the Page Visibility API and browsers' hidden tabs policies, and I know you can know when a page goes inactive and control what to do or not do at that point. I also know even OBS Browser Source itself has a obsSourceVisibleChanged event you can hook into. If you're trying to play animations while the source is not visible then yes, of course you will have issues, because animations won't render. But you can put logic in place to manage that, to skip animations and maintain a healthy queue. But obviously your development decisions are out of my scope.

That said, once again I do appreciate your answer, because at least someone clearly states that this is not getting fixed. I'd rather know this than having a constant doubt and waiting for a solution that will never arrive. Thanks, for real

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again
