Hi guys. I just finished setting up some redemption items on my stream store (sound redeems to be exact). I figured out how to get the sound to play on stream but when I redeem it (or somebody else; my mod tried it also) it doesn't show on the activity feed of stream elements. If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Hosts Alert Integration: I read that the Twitch API no longer allows host alerts processed unless they are above a certain amount. It used to be (1), then had to be greater than (1) and I cannot understand how one bot can collect and display this information while another cannot. I've recently learned that Rainmaker can display these alerts, but StreamElements and StreamLabs still cannot. Is there any truth to this on the StreamElements end? Just looking for clarity on how it actually works.

I have stream elements alert box and I used custom sounds and images for each of follow, subscriber, cheer, tip, host, and raid functions. When I test on the emulate function for each on stream elements they work and they show up on obs. But when I go live they play the basic alerts. I am streaming using a capture card with ps5 toy PC. Hello, I created a custom command (!discord). I deleted the custom command on the streamelements website. It no longer shows up for me. However, when I use the command in chat it still pops up. I have tried the "!command edit !discord" option in an attempt to edit it and the command shows up in chat and then says "no command with trigger discord found". I have also tried the "!command remove !discord" option and that doesn't work either. I have also tried "!command delete !discord". Nothing seems to work. Every option tells me that no command exists. I have also tried parting the bot from my channel, logging out, then signing back in and joining the bot to my channel. Nothing has worked. I originally set the command to only allow myself to use it so when my chat tries the command it doesnt work for them and because the command does not show up on my streamelements custom commands in-browser I am unable to alter it in any way. So basically I need help getting rid of it. I want to then recreate it with an updated message and allow anyone to type it in chat. Please help!

I did a quick search here & saw others with my issue, but no response.

I have the Video on Command widget installed, but the audio ALWAYS plays double. I can't figure out for the life of me what's causing it.
I muted the audio in the overlay, which mutes everything. I tried to control the audio in OBS and it still doubles up. I don't see anything in the widget settings that correlate to this and it's driving me up a wall.
I've gotten ONE to play if I mute the audio in the Overlay Editor and input it into it's own scene all alone, but that doesn't help me for streaming.

It seems to happen even if I don't have the source active in a specific scene - if I type the command it still plays the audio, no video. I'm not sure where it's pulling the audio from???

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

You can try to follow this guide to set up the custom bot if you're still noticing this issue

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

How does one import other widgets from other overlays into a new overlay? I did it before but its been so long.

If you go into the overlay in StreamElements and click on the layer the widget is on, up the top of all the layers there’s a button that has two squares kind of overlapping - if you click that it should give you an option to either:

• duplicate to this overlay or
• duplicate to another
  (I think these are the two options)

Click the second one and I think it brings up a list of overlays to choose from that you can copy it too!

Try that!

I seem to have an issue with my bot timer not using the /announce command it literally just puts that into chat instead.

Hi everyone. I’m unsure if this is a “twitch” issue or a StreamElements thing, but recently (maybe the last two weeks), alerts have been repeating when I change scenes in OBS? So for example, I’ll be in Scene A and get a subscriber which triggers an animated alert to play from SE in a browser source. Then I’ll switch to scene B and it’ll play the animation again? Even if it’s minutes after? And it stacks sometimes too. This never used to happen and nothing has changed recently in my overlays or OBS (that I can think of anyway!)

Any help appreciated.

Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card, PS4 remote play or Xbox companion app and a PC with OBS in order to have overlays over your console gameplay.

More than likely your accounts need to be merged! - Please note:

• Merging accounts only allow faster ways to switch between accounts
• Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events
• Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method. It uses a timer to break work into intervals, typically 25 minutes in length, separated by short breaks. Each interval is known as a pomodoro. But what some streamers have been using in the lives is to create a kind of 'todo task', where viewers in the chat through commands can put what they intend to do in that time of productivity, and with that it appears on the streamer's screen. For example: streamelements post !add geometry, the answer [streamelements appears, adding "geometry" to the list]... and automatically in the stream overlay the list will appear as well. When you complete that task, you send the !done and it's finished. In some cases it counts how many times the viewer has finished a task. Some online channels that use something similar 'coworkvirtual' 'vubar_gmat'

Hello, I created a custom command (!discord). I deleted the custom command on the streamelements website. It no longer shows up for me. However, when I use the command in chat it still pops up. I have tried the "!command edit !discord" option in an attempt to edit it and the command shows up in chat and then says "no command with trigger discord found". I have also tried the "!command remove !discord" option and that doesn't work either. I have also tried "!command delete !discord". Nothing seems to work. Every option tells me that no command exists. I have also tried parting the bot from my channel, logging out, then signing back in and joining the bot to my channel. Nothing has worked. I originally set the command to only allow myself to use it so when my chat tries the command it doesnt work for them and because the command does not show up on my streamelements custom commands in-browser I am unable to alter it in any way. So basically I need help getting rid of it. I want to then recreate it with an updated message and allow anyone to type it in chat. Please help!

Good evening! I used to have the Stream Elements bot working just fine in my Stream as a moderator for a couple of days... but I just changed my Channel's username and it just stopped working... Recently my Recent Bits (Labels - Bits - Latest - Recent Cheers) has stopped scrolling in OBS/twitch stream.
I can see when I edit my overlay that the text is scrolling, at the '2' speed left to right I set in the text settings.
However once I import the browser source to OBS it static text (its always moved just recently stopped).
I have tried to just make another label as well, but it is also static.

Hello! I've been having trouble with my alerts overlay not always working in OBS. I have the resolution of the overlay and OBS browser source to 1920 x 1080, I've tried a bunch of different settings changes, even used the same settings as my friends since theirs work perfectly, but mine are still only working sometimes. When someone follows or subscribes or whatever, more often than not, I have to manual play them from the activity feed in OBS, and sometimes that doesn't even work for a little bit. I am not sure if I understood your question, but for widget goals, you can go to Streamelements Dashboard, click on My Overlays and edit any of your overlays. In the overlay editor page, click on + > Labels and from there you can add the goal you want.

Maybe in #tech-talk you can find better people for suggestions. It would be good if you have posted your current OBS configuration or a screenshot of your Output configuration from OBS, so we could suggest something to change.
Basically you need to make sure you are using nVENC as the encoder, this is the main part. The default option for that is x264 which uses the processor.
Either way, check on #tech-talk, I think they can give you better suggestions

But yes, you can use Twitch Studio, just paste the overlay URL from SE in the layout when you add a webpage.

• All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
• Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline

Note: If you see X channel has hosted you with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Hello, I tried solving this on my end, but it doesn't seem I'm able to.

I changed my name a while ago. Soon after, I was able to run the !rename command on a few channels (let me know if you want examples) and recover/resync my watchtime. But when I recently tried it again on a couple different channels where I forgot to do it following the rename, I got the following error message: "the UserID of previousname does not match yours."

My current name is BIitz2ElectricBoogaloo (second letter is a capitalized i )
Previous name was BIitzMC (again, second letter is a capitalized i )
Previous one was Blitz___RL (on this was one, second letter is a non-capitalized L. Just the regular "blitz". lol)

I saw from an old query on the same topic that you asked for the Account ID. Here it is: 612d992454ffa806667991fb

Hi guys, can anyone assist me with a question about stream elements overlays?

I am trying to utilize one of the pre-made overlays but the only issue is that I stream at 1664x936 dimensions and the overlays are created at 1920x1080. I can resize a brand new overlay before creating it but I can't seem to find a way to resize an already built overlay. Is it possible?

Or, if it's not possible, is it possible to create a new overlay at my desired dimensions and somehow copy and paste the pieces of the pre-made overlay to my new overlay? I can't find a way to do that either.

Add it to OBS and push CTRL+F to fit it to your canvas

when i do that it resizes the image on obs but not the actual overlay, and so a lot of it gets cut off. Essentially the screen becomes 1664x936 but the overlay is still 1920x1080 and anything outside of my dimensions is just cut off

I'm using SLOBS, taboo i know. lol hopefully that's not an issue. But actually I don't think what I mentioned is my problem... let me share a screenshot and show you just how badly the overlay is getting cut off

To add your overlays to OBS, add a new browser source in your scene. Paste your overlay URL in the browser source properties, set the dimensions to 1920x1080 (unless you changed them on the website) and check Shutdown source when not visible as shown in this GIF: https://imgur.com/a/2JhJD0S
