Hey all! I've recently switched over to StreamElements and I've managed to swap over most of my stuff successfully. I was using the StreamLabs chatbot before hand and everything transferred over fine except for the hours everyone had. Does anyone know if there's an easy way to get that transferred over like everything else?

you'll need to export a spreadsheet with the watchtime of your viewers, this can be done through the Streamlabs bot, once you've done that, multiply all of the values in the sheet by 60, and then upload it through our import center

Hi there. I used to have an emote wall that would bounce emotes around the screen when people typed them in chat. But when animated emotes came out the emote wall would only display the first frame and it kinda sucked, so I disabled it completely. Any idea how to have a sweet emote wall with animated emotes bouncing around the screen?

I think this is due to how Twitch preview the animated emotes. They have a static preview in some cases of the first frame and so the kappa wall grabs it from there. Might be a while before any type of kappa wall updates to grab the animation. We know it works for BTTV but would be a new update for twitch ones

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

hi again - unfortunately this problem still exists.

i have four variations set to "When amount is exactly 99", and one variation set to "When amount is at least 1", and the "When amount is at least 1" variation still plays.

i don't want the "When amount is at least 1" variation to play at all, ever, when there is an EXACT cheer variation for the amount of bits that is given.

basically, i want the exact-amount variations to take priority over the ones that cover a range of bit amounts. every single time.

how can i set the priority of the EXACT amount cheer variations so that they ALWAYS take priority over the "When amount is at least" variations?

i've already tried reordering them in the list; this doesn't make any difference. i've also already tried disabling the "Pick an alert randomly when more than one matches" setting, and putting each exact-amount alert at equal chances (25% * 4), but this also doesn't fix the issue.

i know this is possible because i have seen streamers who use StreamElements for alert variations, and it works exactly like i just described - exact bit amounts ALWAYS trigger a specific variation, and then any other amount of bits which is not covered by an exact-amount variation triggers the "When amount is at least 1" variation.

I also switched from SLOBS to SE, I just use the recommended bitrate for my internet/stream, if that helps at all. Depending if I'm streaming or recording w/ higher quality, I'll adjust my bitrate (I use SE for all my filming/recording too). I just started mssing with StreamElements, but it seems like if you share the specific URL of the one you made, the person you share it with can edit it too, and if they do I think it would save that way ffor you as well. I was asking someone about how to edit part of my overlay that I was having issues with, and they had me screenshot bu cut out the URL. I think that means that we are supposed to like...have our own and not share it since its our custom one

i would also try and mute the item you expect is playing the sound and run some tests to see if it mutes or play in an unexpected scene

I'm not sure if this is the place to ask but I'm using the StreamElements Leaderboards extension as a Twitch Panel. It works fine for countdowns, leaderboards, locations, etc. When clicking on the Leaderboard Chat Stats though, it shows my name as the Top Chatter instead of the actual viewers (they are underneath as 2nd, 3rd, etc).

This doesn't seem fair to have my name included so does anyone know if it's possible to remove my name from appearing as the Top Chatter?

Hey so I am running a dual pc setup. Game computer is 3600x with 3060 to stream computer (does include hd60 pro) 2600x with 5600xt however I am getting a lot of “noise” lots of pixels on blacks and greens no matter what I have done (lowering and raising bit rate going over recommended changing settings and even adding a delay) but the problem keeps happening. Hello I was wondering what are the default variations' names for the Hype Cup? Ive accidentally deleted some and find that the Hype Cup reacts better when I keep the variations and just change the icons for them instead

yes. i was very, very specifically told to turn it off and keep it off by multiple people in here who have official support roles. so it is still turned off.

additionally, the graying-out of duplicate alert variations (aka all the 99 bit ones) is incorrect; it's playing the last variation down the list, but it's grayed out. the first variation on the list is not grayed out

with the "Pick an alert randomly when more than one matches" setting turned OFF, and 4x 99 bit alerts set to 100%, the LAST alert in this list is played, every single time. even though it is grayed out.

this seems fundamentally broken. one would expect the FIRST alert in the list to play every time, and for the other alerts to NEVER play because they are grayed out

but that's not the case at all

setting alerts 2, 3, and 4 to 25% chance causes all four alerts to play with seemingly equal chance. again, one would NEVER expect this, since the bottom 3 alerts are still grayed out (and the "pick an alert randomly" setting is still disabled), and alert 1 is set to 100% chance.

so... with such a broken system, what do i do to make sure that the alert for "When amount is at least 1" NEVER plays when exactly 99 bits are given?

You can see the gifted sub lines up, but even the other subs which are just variations in the Alert Widget, and the followers etc are all different, in the Widget when editing theyre all exactly the same.

hi again - unfortunately this problem still exists.

i have four variations set to "When amount is exactly 99", each with 25% chance, and one variation set to "When amount is at least 1", and the "When amount is at least 1" variation still plays.

i don't want the "When amount is at least 1" variation to play at all, ever, when there is an EXACT cheer variation for the amount of bits that is given.

basically, i want the exact-amount variations to take priority over the ones that cover a range of bit amounts. every single time.

how can i set the priority of the EXACT amount cheer variations so that they ALWAYS take priority over the "When amount is at least" variations?

i've already tried reordering them in the list; this doesn't make any difference.

i've also already tried disabling the "Pick an alert randomly when more than one matches" setting, and putting each exact-amount alert at equal chances (25% * 4), but this also doesn't fix the issue.

finally, i've tried setting all four 99 bit alerts to 100% chance, but this causes the final one down the list to play every single time (alert variation #4) - the other ones in the list are ignored.

Make sure what you're redeeming is the correct currency. There is a Twitch point currency and a SE point currency. Like for instance when I do giveaways on my streams, the giveaway is done via SE, so it uses SE channel points, not Twitch channel points, while Redeems via twitch are taken from the Twitch channel points.

What possible reasons could my custom bot not be working?

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

afterwards the users can redeem via chat, or if you enable store, the viewers have to open the store to redeem and no bot command required

If you are not hearing your alerts and/or Media Request, you are most likely using the Control Audio via OBS option in your browser source properties.
To make sure you hear the alerts and the stream also hears them, follow along the screenshot bellow.

@woven silo please check your Audio Mixer settings, if the viewers redeem the alert and you can hear it on your spearker, but the stream not, the bot is fine.
You will need to route the Sound to the Stream. Maybe you use dedicated audio lines.
