Unfortunately it's not something that can be. My understanding is it's an "issue" with how the bod reads chat on the backend and how it doesn't quite recognize that something has already been tossed.

I have an issue that's got me puzzled.
In this OBS scene, I use one StreamElements overlay, consisting of only two objects:

1. A Sub goal, and
2. An animated border for my webcam.

What the issue is, is that the animated border for my webcam will randomly just disappear.
The sub goal stays fine though, which puzzles me, considering they're part of the same overlay

Any ideas or assistance would be greatly appreciated, it's awkward and frustrating having to refresh the overlay multiple times a stream >.<

Hey, so when using the !songrequest command in chat it works as intended and ads the song to the queue. However, after the current song is done playing it just pauses itself, wont play the next song in queue.

If there is no songs in queue after the current song it will autoplay the backup playlist which is fine. But whenever theres a song in queue after, it just stops playing after the song.

The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

Hi, I was looking for some assistance getting my custom bot account reconnected to Streamelements OBS

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Sorry this is going to be long to explain - i have recently been having issues with the !quote default chat command. I previously was using nightbot for the quotes thing due to elements one not working at all, and recently i used the command in chat and not only did nightbot respond but my custom bot that i use for elements came back with "Quotes must be enabled for this feature to work". So I thought ok so that feature is now functioning as it should, I will move my quotes to elements instead, but it has a flaw, and a rather annoying one at that.
If i use the quotes command while my custom bot is enabled and modded i get back a quote plus that Quotes must be enabled for this feature to work message, if custom bot and not modded i dont get anything back, if modded but quotes disabled i get back Quotes must be enabled for this feature to work. so i thought its a bot issue so i changed it to be default streamelements name and then discovered with elements bot name and custom bot not enabled i type in !quote and elements responds with a quote but custom bot still comes back with Quotes must be enabled for this feature to work, if i unmod custom bot and then perform !quote i get back just a quote and no extra message but only if elements is the bot name and my custom bot is not a mod even if not the bot name.
I am so confused as to why this is happening. Another small note, but when i disabled the quote in default commands and then reenabled it it stated that it needed to enable the module as well to work but there isnt a quotes module to turn on, so wondering why it was asking this also. Thanks for any help provided.
(I would just continue to use nightbot but even with the !quotes turned off for elements it will tell me Quotes must be enabled for this feature to work every time i use !quote for nightbot via my custom bot)

When I run a test alert for a follow I hear what I believe is a additional notification beep with an echo. I believe this is the default notification sound. However if I add a new sound I still hear this sound when testing with OBS open. I would like to disable this completely! Is there a way?

Hello! I'm trying to update some assets on my SE, but things such as video/audio seems to have a terrible lag delay on the new assets uploaded onto SE's database?

I upload a 5 second video/w audio and it would have gaps in the audio causing it to turn into a 10 second long clip because of the lag

I'm doing this on the SE website, so testing it live on my OBS also shows the terrible delay

i have enabled it and set a speed, and also cleared my cache but it seems to just display it as a block of text for whatever reason

i have a work around, if i create 2 overlays and scroll the 2nd overlay in obs i can acheive the same effect perhaps..

I think I found the solution, the padding was set to -50 by default for some reason, and the text just doesn't show if it's out of bounds (so to speak) on alert boxes.

Would be helpful if it still showed up for troubleshooting though

Hello, we have been using StreamElements for several months with no issues. We changed our Twitch handle yesterday and all o the sudden our commands or !anything and timers stopped working. We enter the !command and it just shows up in the Twitch chat box. Our SE alerts are still working. The !commands also don't work when any of our viewers try, not just us as broadcasters. I have confirmed SE is still a Mod and not banned. Any ideas on why the chatbot side of SE isn't working anymore or us?

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

sometimes the bot account has to be fully removed in order to re-authenticate it, it can be fixed with those instructions we sent

I had my alerts hard set into my main layout
Changed it made a new layout for alerts and put that in obs
Still didnt work then realized i never had the audio through obs option toggled

2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

When I create a new overlay in StreamElements, I am choosing default 1080p for overlay resolution. When I add Kappagen to that overlay, it defaults to 500x500 px. When I add Browser source to OBS, it defaults to 800x600.

Even when I open the overlay URL in a browser, Kappagens don't show up when I use the simulator, though they show on the streamelements overlay edit page.

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

My apologies, would you mind deleting any browser sources you have currently in OBS? Then add a new browser source in your scene. You'll want to paste your overlay URL in the browser source properties which can be found inside the overlay editor with the small link icon next to the word 'Preview' at the top right hand corner. Make sure to set the height and width as 1920x1080, and then scroll down to check "shutdown source when not visible". Once you've done that, let me know what it looks like for you, and please feel free to provide a screenshot in a DM to me of the properties of the browser source as well.

To reset goals:

• from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
• from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

• All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
• Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline

Hello, I am doing some tweaks to my alert box so that an image (png) bounces in and fades out and has a small audio soundbite along with it. The basic flow for what I wanted was Image bounces In (1.5s) > Text Fades In (1s) > text stays for 2.5s > Text Fades Out (1s) > Image Fades Out (2s). All of that added up to the 8 seconds I intended. The only conclusion I can gather is that when the exit animations are performed is derived from the audio file ending if the graphic is an image and not a video. Is this correct? And if so, is this intended? I did also notice a mismatch between what previews on the overlay editor and when I had it in OBS. I attached an image of the settings for what I would have thought would make this idea work. I know some alternatives that can work, but I spent some time trying to set it up as I thought it to be the simplest way to get the result. Thanks.

Hey I need kinda help too. Did anyone experienced that stream elements just stopped the alert right in the middle? I'm working right now on animating my own alerts and already uploaded two of them. They worked without any problems. Days later I just wanted to change one of the videos and after that streamelements shows the alert, but only for like 3-4 seconds. It even cuts of other alerts right away, no matter if I turn up the Alert duration. That happens in OBS and even in the preview on the website. I've took it a step further and createt a whole new overlay and just put the alertbox in there without changing anything so there is the standard sound, duration, and video. Even there it cuts of after 3-4 secounds.

I do apologize if I overwhelmed you, I just heard many good things about StreamElements and I want to see if I can set things on SE in case I need to abandon StreamLabs, since that drama happened, but SE throws me for a loop, I came here a few months back and because the Top gifted subs didn't appear with an accurate number for everyone in here I knew that my viewers would not be happy with that, & now I decide to re-import the tip history because now the top gifted thing is fixed and as soon as I imported everything died.

Do you not use touch portal / stream deck / etc to control anything? Easy solution is have a hotkey that'll just hide it to refresh it when it's broken, apologise, carry on. OR just use their amazing services for everything else, and customise your stream a little with things like Lioranboard, Streamer.Bot, FireBot, etc etc etc. Just my opinion.

I don't have a stream deck, no. Tough to hotkey something when I am using a controller to play with my switch. Thanks for your ~positive~ suggestions tommo but I think an issue is an issue and using other software or taking my hands off a controller to refresh alerts is not great

Every alert appears, runs it course, and then remains on screen. Frozen as can be. I have to go into the source and close/reopen to clear it away

for every alerts

Fix by the developers is being rolled out. Once it is finished, a refresh for the browser source is needed once again to get it to load correctly.
